Waconia Man Charged with Raping Two Students 29 Dec 15

A Waconia man has now been charged with raping two students shortly after meeting them at separate college parties last year in Minneapolis.

Police say the first incident happened on Halloween of 2014, and the second incident happened the following weekend.

22-year-old Daniel York Drill-Mellum  appeared in court Monday in connection to both alleged attacks.

Drill-Mellum has been charged with first-degree, second-degree and third-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection to the Halloween incident. He has also been charged with first-degree and second-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection to the November incident.

Drill-Mellum’s attorney says they will contest the charges. He’s free on bond and is due back in court Jan. 28.
