Two Injured in Meeker County M/C Crash 19 Sep 16

Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash in Meeker County Saturday afternoon.

At about 2:45pm, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a 2-motorcycle accident with injuries on Highway 31, north of 310th Street in Harvey Township.

On arrival, deputies determined that a motorcycle driven by 50-year-old Raymond Lang of Spicer had collided with a dirt bike driven by 15-year-old Courtney Ham from rural Litchfield.

Witnesses reported that Ham was traveling southbound on Highway 31 with another juvenile female who was operating an ATV. Both females stopped to turn eastbound into the driveway of a residence when Lang attempted to pass on their left. Lang collided with the dirt bike when Ham made the turn.

Lang, who was not wearing a helmet, was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries. Authorities say Ham, who was believed to be wearing a helmet, was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
