Ridgewater President Comments on Gov’s Bonding Bill 05 Jan 17

ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 5, 2017 – Governor Dayton introduced a Bonding Bill Wednesday that included his recommendation for Higher Education Asset Preservation and Renovation (HEAPR) and bonding projects.

Ridgewater President Douglas Allen

Douglas Allen, President of Ridgewater College, said:

“Governor Dayton’s recommendation in his bonding bill proposal to spend over 160 million on the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system recognizes the critical infrastructure needs in the system.” Allen added “For Ridgewater College our share of the 80-million dollar recommendation for HEAPR monies will help provide critical facility maintenance and repairs that will improve the quality of our programs and the safety and quality of our facility for students.”

Allen says Ridgewater’s HEAPR funding will expand the Hutchinson welding program space and roof maintenance projects at the Business Development Center in Hutchinson and on the Willmar Campus.
