Kandiyohi County delaying bond sale 19 Apr 17

Kandiyohi County has delayed the sale of $5 Million in bonds to help finance a project to bring high speed internet to rural portions of the county. Consolidated Telecommunications Co. needs 50 percent of the households and businesses in the target area to sign up before going ahead with construction this summer of fiber lines. County administrator Larry Kleindl said that goal had not been reached yet. County officials said Tuesday they remain optimistic that the project will move ahead — but they emphasized that future customers must commit soon to receiving services.
