Pedestrian Hit By Pickup in Stewart 01 May 17

The State Patrol says a pickup that was traveling westbound on Highway 212 in Stewart struck a pedestrian crossing the Highway Saturday night at about 10:15.

The pedestrian, 26-year-old Jacob Lentz of Stewart, suffered a broken leg and was transported to Glencoe Regional Health Services by Buffalo Lake Ambulance for treatment.

The driver of the pickup was not injured.

The Patrol says alcohol was detected in Lentz, but did not say if it was a factor in the incident.
