Bogus $100 Bill Used in Hutchinson 19 Sep 17

Hutchinson Police are investigating after a man used what turned out to be a bogus $100 bill to buy merchandise at a local store.

An employee of Shopko on Main Street reported the bill was discovered with the deposit money on Monday, September 11th.

Police say the preliminary investigation shows the transaction took place at 3:22 that afternoon when the suspect made a purchase of about $54 and received change from the bogus $100 bill.

The investigation continues.
