Two From Illinois Charged in Hutchinson Fraud Case 26 Sep 17

A man and woman from Illinois have been charged with fraud after attempting to get cash advances at two banks in Hutchinson last week.

Authorities say 23-year-old Gabriella Kristena Davis of Chicago is charged with one felony count of financial transaction card fraud. 22-year-old Denzel D Chester from Hazel Crest, Illinois is charged with one count of aiding and abetting financial transaction card fraud.

Hutchinson Police say on September 19th, an official with MidCountry Bank became suspicious after a female attempted to get a cash advance of $2,000, which was declined. The woman then left that bank and allegedly a short time later attempted to get a $1,400 cash advance at Citizen’s Bank, which was also declined. A description of her and the vehicle she left in were given to police. Police located the vehicle a short time later on Highway 7 East, a traffic stop was initiated, the two were arrested in connection with the attempted transactions and taken to the McLeod County Jail.

A third person in the vehicle was not arrested.
