Beware of Flooding on Area Rivers 10 Oct 17

(Learfield News Service/Undated) — Flood warnings remain in effect for the Minnesota, Cottonwood, and Crow Rivers due to the recent heavy rains.

Moderate floods are now predicted for the south fork of the Crow River at Delano in Wright County. The waters are expected to rise about 18 inches above flood stage on Wednesday.

Minor floods are forecast for the Crow’s south fork at Mayer, which was three feet above its banks at mid-morning Monday.

Most warnings continue at least through this week.

Also, officials expect to keep an eye on new flooding next week in the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers
