Litchfield Man Gets 12 Years in Prison for Criminal Sexual Conduct 20 Oct 17

LITCHFIELD — A Litchfield man was sentenced Wednesday to 12 years in prison after being convicted of three counts of criminal sexual conduct involving a 13-year-old girl.

The West Central Tribune reports 33-year-old LC Monroe Johnson was found guilty by a jury in August of two charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one charge of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Johnson was sentenced on the most severe charge — a count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Judge Michael Thompson did not adjudicate on the other two charges, which stem from the same incident.

According to the criminal complaint, the 13-year-old girl woke up on the night of Oct. 24, 2016, to find her pants down and Johnson on top of her. She texted her mother after the assault and was taken to a medical center for evaluation.
