Senate Hearing on State’s Troubled Drivers License/Vehicle Registration System 15 Nov 17

(Learfield News Service/St. Paul, MN) Senate Republicans have a hearing at the Minnesota Capitol this morning (Wednesday) about problems with the state’s new drivers license and vehicle registration system.

The House had hearings two months ago but Hutchinson Senator Scott Newman says he waited because, “I wanted to get a little bit more of a track record as to where this thing was headed, frankly. And I think that we now have accomplished that.”

The Dayton administration acknowledges problems early-on after the new system was rolled out, but says they’re being addressed and things are running much more smoothly. But Newman says he’s received “lots and lots of complaints, and so I want to hear what these folks have got to say.”
