DNR Looking for Information on Two Local Poaching Incidents 20 Nov 17

Conservation officers are seeking information leading to the arrest in two incidents where deer were illegally taken.

According to the Department of Natural Resources, both cases involved shooting deer on private property after shooting hours.

The first case took place November 11th in Renville County northwest of Buffalo Lake. An eyewitness reported a suspicious vehicle near their property. A neighboring hunter found a doe the next morning that had been killed by a shotgun.

The second case took place November 14th in McLeod County north of Stewart.

A landowner reported hearing a gunshot at the end of his driveway. Upon investigation, a buck was found on the property dead of a suspected rifle shot.
