Anonymous Donation Will Support Career, Vocational Readiness 04 Dec 17

(Learfield News Service/St. Peter, MN) — A 25-million dollar anonymous donation to Gustavus Adolphus College will go toward supporting career and vocational development for the college’s graduates.

Officials announced the gift last week and describe the new effort as a way to ensure that an education leads to a “purposeful life.”

The move is part of a larger trend among liberal arts colleges to promote career development as part of their strategic planning priorities.

Gustavus Adolphus President Rebecca Bergman says the focus will continue to be on outcomes and preparing students for the next step in their lives.
