Local Sheriff’s Announce Intentions 16 Feb 18

Three local county sheriff’s have announce their intentions.

Carver County Sheriff James Olson announced last week that he’s retiring after 31 years of law enforcement service to Carver County. The 59-year-old from Waconia has been the county sheriff since 2011.

Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty is not running for re-election either, opting to retire after 33 years of service, including eight as sheriff.

McLeod County Sheriff Scott Rehman is running for re-election.

In a news release, Sheriff Rehmann said he’s very grateful to have resident’s support these past 12 years and would be honored to serve them into the future.
