Winter Weather Spawns Crashes/Spin-outs 20 Feb 18

The wintry weather blanketing Minnesota Monday was causing difficulties on the state’s roadways.

KSTP-TV reports the state patrol said there were 288 crashes from midnight Monday to 4 p.m. Monday- including 32 that resulted in injuries. At that time, there were no reports of serious injuries or fatalities.

The state patrol has also received 168 reports of vehicles spinning out and/or going off the road and four reports of jackknifed semis.

From midnight to 9:50 this morning (Tuesday), the patrol reported 125 crashes, 11 of which led to injuries-none of which were considered serious. There were also 88 reports of vehicles spinning out or going off the road.
