Courtland Man Rescued From Grain Bin 25 Apr 18

(KEYC/Courtland, MN) On Tuesday, the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a 27-year-old man trapped inside a grain bin in rural Courtland.

The man’s foot was trapped by the pressure of the grain.

The Courtland Fire Department used rescue tubes, donated by United Farmer’s Co-op, to relieve the pressure and he was removed from the grain bin without injury.

The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Courtland Fire Department, Lafayette Ambulance, and the New Ulm Fire Department.
