Hwy 19 Closed Due to Flooding 26 Apr 18

MANKATO, Minn. – (Thursday, 4:15 a.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation closed Highway 19 from Highway 169 to Henderson due to flooding of the Minnesota River.

Motorists should seek alternate routes, as the road will remain closed until the water level recedes.

It is anticipated that Highway 93 from 169 to Henderson will also close if water levels continue to rise as forecasted.

MnDOT is monitoring rivers throughout the southwest and south central Minnesota area.

Flooding is difficult to predict and roads may be closed or restricted without warning. Log and ice jams can further complicate flood forecasts.

Motorists should check road conditions at www.511mn.org.
