Redwood Falls Man One of Two WI Storm Victims 19 Jun 18

Heavy rains and flooding are responsible for washing out roads, bursting a dam and killing two people in the Duluth-Superior Area.

A Redwood Falls, Minnesota man died in Edgewater in Sawyer County, Wisconsin after authorities say a tree fell on his camper during a severe thunderstorm.

55-year-old James Plugg died and a woman and two children were also injured, but not critically.

A 75-year-old Mason, Wisconsin man was found dead south of Ashland on Monday — 60 feet from his submerged pickup truck along a county road in White River Township. Thomas Koeper was found deceased after his pickup was first located in 6-8 feet of water. Ashland County authorities say the driver’s side door on the pickup was open, the truck was in park and the keys had been removed from the ignition.
