The Brownton Women’s Club is sponsoring a Kids Bike-A-Thon for K-6 students on Sunday, May 6th, beginning at 1:00 PM. Participants should meet at the Brownton Lions Shelter (310 2nd Street North) in the City Park by 1:00 PM. The event will go from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. Leading up to the Bike-A-Thon, participants should pick up a registration packet, including pledge forms, at the Brownton City Office or Security Bank & Trust. Prizes, including new bicycles and gift cards, will be awarded to the top pledge getters in each of the three age groups (grades K-1, 2-3, and 4-6). Each child that takes part in the event will receive a participation prize. At the end of the day, hotdogs, chips, bars and beverages will be served to everyone attending.
