    1. Pet Supplies Drive
      7:15 am – 8:15 am

      The 2nd Annual Help Our Local Animals Supplies drive is going on now through the end of April.  All donations will be given directly to the Hutchinson Heart of MN Animal Shelter. Donations can be cash, charge, or supply items.  They will be taken at the Liquor Hutch from 8 am – 10 pm Monday through Saturday.  A list from the “Heart of MN Animal Shelter” will be available at the Liquor Hutch. 

    2. Meeker Mcleod Sibley Health meeting
      9:00 am – 11:30 am

      The Meeker/Mcleod/Sibley Community Health Services will hold its quarterly board meeting on Thursday, April 9th from 9-11:30 am at the Mcleod County Solid Waste Management building in Hutchinson.  The meeting is open to the public.

    3. Spaghetti Supper
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary will hold their April Spaghetti Supper on Thursday, April 9th from 4-7 pm at the Elks Lodge in Hutchinson.  Families welcome, Take Outs available.

      The next meeting of Today’s Women of Hutchinson is Thursday, April 9th, 6:30 pm at the Hutchinson City Center.  If interested in joining contact Linda at 587-0426

    1. Plato city wide garage sales
      8:00 am – 12:00 pm

      Plato is having their city wide garage sales on Friday and Saturday, April 10th and 11th starting at 8 am.  

    2. BL Fish Fry
      11:30 am – 7:00 pm

      The Buffalo Lake Lions are having their All you can eat Fish Fry on Friday, April 10th from 11:30a-7 pm (or until the fish are gone) at the Buffalo Lake Fire Hall.  Take outs available.  Cost is $9 in advance, $10 at the door, ages 5-12 are $4 and under 5 is free.  Proceeds go to local projects.

    1. ECFE garage sale
      9:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The 24th Annual Spring ECFE Garage Sale at HLWW High School on Saturday, April 11, 9 am-noon. 20+ spaces of families selling children’s clothes size 0-14, maternity clothes, accessories, books, toys. No admission fee. 

    2. Benefit Dinner
      3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      You’re invited to a benefit dinner and silent auction for Nona Revard on Saturday, April 11th from 3-7pm at the Dassel Covenant Church.  Free will donation for food and bid on the silent auction items.  All money raised will help make the Revard home handicapped accessible battling Lyme Disease.

    3. Hog Roast
      5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Winsted Sportsmens club annual Hog Roast is Saturday, April 11th at the Blue Note in Winsted.  Serving from 5-8 pm, advance tickets are $9…$10 at the door.  Take outs available.  

    4. Storytelling Program
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      “Ya sure, I’m a Norvegin Luteran” will be presented by professional storyteller, Pati Kachel, on Saturday, April 11th at 7pm at Shalom Baptist Church.  This event is sponsored by our local lodge of the Sons of Norway.  Come and be refreshed by listening to Pati’s good humor, songs, poems and heartwarming stories. Her original, insightful and inspiring presentations have been enjoyed by audiences from Seattle to Pittsburgh, as well as in Canada and the Netherlands.  Admission is free.  Contact Gabra Lokken at 320.234.8979 for more info.

    1. Get to know NAMI
      7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Get to know NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) on Tueday, April 14th 7-8 pm at Ridgewater College, Hutchinson campus.  Hear first-hand how our work directly affects the lives of children and adults with mental illnesses and their families, Hear from a person who combats a mental illness but is now an advocate for hope and recovery.  Hear from a family member about the experiences of their family.  Learn about our education, support programs and what we are doing to advocate for good mental health policies.  Learn how you can get involved, take action and make a difference!  Please RSVP to Kay King at 1-651-645-2948 ext. 113 OR kking@namimn.org

      Habitat for Humanity is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on Wednesday, April 15th at Vineyard United Methodist Church.  The event is from 4:30-7 pm, and is a free will offering.

      4:00 pm – 12:00 pm

      Faith Lutheran Church of Hutchinson is holding their rummage sale April 16-18th at the church.  Hours Thursday are 4-8 pm, Friday 8a-6p, and Saturday 8a-noon.  Saturday is Bag Day.  

    2. Firearms Safety Class
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Gopher Campfire’s Spring Firearms Safety Class is starting on Thursday, April 16th.  Class is open to all boys and girls ages 11 and older, adults welcome.  Class size is limited so you must register.  Attendance at all classes is required.  For info or to register contact Brian at schmelingoil@gmail.com

      The Glencoe VFW Auxiliary is sponsoring a Pillow Cleaning on Friday, April 17th from 7a-3p at the VFW in Glencoe.  New Ticking, Cleaning, and Returned the same day.  

    2. Crow River Singers
      7:00 pm – 2:00 pm

      The Crow River Singers present “Our Favorite Things”, favorite selections from the Choir and Director.  There will be two performances.  One on Friday, April 17th at 7 pm at First Congregational UCC of Hutchinson…the next at 2 pm at Peace Lutheran Church of Hutchinson on Sunday, April 19th.  Admission is $7, Refreshments are served.

    1. Foster Program Meeting
      9:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Learn about becoming a Foster Parent on Saturday, April 18th from 9a-3p at the Mcleod County Solid Waste Management Building in Hutchinson.  This meeting is to learn about and ask questions about the foster care program in Mcleod County.  Anyone interested in becoming a foster parent should attend.  Lunch will be provided.  Questions contact Amy at 1-800-247-1756.

    1. Pioneer Park Pancake Breakfast
      9:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Minnesota Pioneer Park of Annandale is having their 38th Annual Maple Syrup Pancake Breakfast on Sunday April 19 from 9a-1p!  So bring your family and friends to enjoy the home made breakfast! Meal includes:  Scrambled Eggs; Sausage; Juice, Coffee or Milk and ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKES with freshly bottled REAL Maple Syrup!!!  Cost for this event is only $8/adult * $4/child ages 4-12 * 3 years and younger are FREE!!

    2. German Dinner

      St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stewart is having their Polka Worship and German Dinner on Sunday, April 19th.  Worship starts at 10 am with the Wendinger Band, Dinner from 11a-1p.  Serving German Potato Salad or Scalloped Potatoes, Brats and Meatballs, Glazed Carrots, German Sauerkraut, and more.  Cost for diner is a free will donation.  

    3. Potato Pancake Dinner
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      The New Auburn VFW invites you to a Potato Pancake Dinner on Sunday, April 19th.  Serving from 10:30a-1p at the New Auburn Fire Hall.  Adults are $9, Children 5-11 are $5, under 5 is free.  Serving Potato and Buttermilk Pancakes, Pork Sausage, Applesauce and more.

    4. PTL Dinner
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. James Lutheran School of Howard Lake invites you to their annual PTL Dinner on Sunday, April 19th from 11a-1p.  The fundraiser features a western themed meal, carnival games, and a silent auction.  Adults are $8, Children 4-12 are $5, under 3 is free.  

    5. BLHS Music Fundraiser
      4:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      Sunday, April 19 the BLHS Music Department is hosting the “White Sidewalls Love Potion #10 Muscial” and Grill-Out at the BLHS High School Gym.  The grill out starts at 4:00 - hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, rootbeer floats, coffee and bars will be available for purchase. The White Sidewalls performance will begin at 5:00pm with the BLHS high school choir members performing some songs with the group.  

      Tickets for the White Sidewalls performance can be purchased from a BLHS band or choir member, or be purchased at the door. Tickets are $25.00 each.

      Silver Lakes City Wide Garage Sales are Thursday-Saturday (April 23-25).  8a-5p Thur and Fri, 8-Noon on Saturday.

    2. Creekside Community Church Concert
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      Creekside Community Church of Arlington welcomes Southern Gospel group Still Water on Thursday, April 23rd at 7 pm.  No admission, but a Free will offering will be taken.

    3. Ridgewater Choir
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      On Thursday, April 23, Ridgewater’s combined choir of students from both Hutchinson and Willmar campuses will perform at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. The 7:00 pm performance is free and open to the public.  This year’s theme is “All in the Family,” and will feature songs from childhood and family relationships.

    2. Hammer and Nails Dinner
      5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      Crow River Habitat for Humanity is hosting their Hammer and Nails fundraiser dinner on Friday, April 24th at the Days Inn, Hutchinson.  5:30 pm is social hour, dinner and entertainment at 6 pm.  Tickets are $40 each, $5 for raffle tickets.  Proceeds benefit the groups 2015 build.
