    1. Oktoberfest
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Atwater presents their Oktoberfest at the Atwater Community Center on Sunday, Oct 2nd from 4:30-7:30p. On the menu, Meat Balls, Pork Hocks, Brats, Hot Potato Salad, and other German Dishes and Desserts. Adults are $12, Children are $5. Live Music is by the Wendinger Band. Proceeds go to Atwater area Seniors.

      The Winthrop Area Foundation presents their Fundraiser Bingo Games Monday Nights October through May, starting at 6:30 pm at Hahn’s Dining and Lounge.

      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The United Lutheran Church of Lake Lillian is hosting it’s annual Fall Festival on Thursday, Oct 6th. Serving Meatballs, Potatoes, and more. Adults are $9, 6-12 is $3.  

    2. Today’s Women of Hutchinson
      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      The next meeting of Today’s Women of Hutchinson is Thursday, October 6th at Harmony River, 6:30 pm. Please use the west entrance.

    1. Cuba Changing
      9:00 am – 11:00 am

      The community is invited to join Women’s Coffee Fellowship Saturday,October 8, 9am at Oak Heights Covenant Church in Hutchinson to hear Jose Luciano speak on “Cuba…Changing?” Jose is an immigrant from Communist Cuba and will tell about the experience of leaving Cuba as a young boy with his brother and parents. In 2015 Jose made a trip back to Cuba, and his observations differ somewhat
      from what the media has portrayed. His story will inspire and make you grateful to be an American citizen with all of its rights, privileges and responsibilities. For more information call the church office at 320-587-6687. The entire family is welcome at this free event.

    2. Thiel Auction
      10:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Everyone is invited to a benefit auction for Dena Thiel, in memory of Jeremy Thiel on Saturday, Oct 8th from 10a-3p at the Vineyard United Methodist Church. The benefit includes a silent auction, bake sale, and $5 Walking Tacos.  

    3. Author Presentation
      5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Sons of Norway invite you to meet Per Breiehagen and Lori Evert, the award winning authors and photographer of the NY Times Bestseller, The Christmas Wish, on Saturday, October 8th at 5:30p at CrossPoint Church in Hutchinson.     1. Dads Belgian Waffle Dinner
      8:30 am – 12:30 pm

      The New Germany Commercial Club is hosting their annual Dad’s Belgian Waffle Breakfast on Sunday, October 9 from 8:30 AM to 12:30PM.  It will be held at the city hall.  All the waffles you can eat along with the delicious Schroeder Meats breakfast sausages.  Everyone is Welcome.

    2. Fall Brunch
      8:30 am – 12:00 pm

      The Silver Lake Lions are hosting their Fall Brunch on Sunday, Oct 9th from 8:30a-Noon at the Silver Lake Auditorium. Serving Eggs, Pancakes, Sausage and more. $7 for Adults and $3 for those under 12. They also ask you to bring an item for the Food Shelf. Proceeds support the Football Program.

    3. Fall Festival
      10:00 am – 1:30 pm

      St. Aloysius Church in Olivia invites you to join them on Sunday, Oct 9th for their Fall Festival. Mass begins at 10 am, Homemade Chicken Dinner from 11a-1:30p. Cost is $11 for adults or takeouts and $6 for children 10 and under. Also enjoy the pumpkin patch, Farmers Market, Bakers Corner, Quilt Ladies booth, Silent Auction, Cake Walk and more.

      Ecumen of Litchfield is hosting a Retirement Party for Pastor John Petersen on Tuesday, Oct 11th from 3-5 pm in their Viking Room. Everyone is welcome to honor him for his 13 years of service.

    2. Cancer Support Group
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Hutchinson Area Breast Cancer Support Group invites you to a roundtable discussion on Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Syndrome on Tuesday, Oct 11th from 7-8:30 pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church of Hutchinson. No RSVP Required. Breast Cancer Survivor Amy Tix and Carrier of the BRCA2 Gene Mutation Denise Deutsch are the featured speakers.

      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Vineyard United Methodist Church hosts their Annual Turkey Dinner on Wednesday, Oct 12th serving from 4-7 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for kids ages 4-10, and under 4 is free. Take Outs or Delivery available. (call 587-2200 for Delivery during the hours). Also Shop the Country Store!

      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Brownton Congregational Church will hold their Community Dinner on Wednesday, October 12th from 5-7 pm with a free will offering. The Dinner is hosted the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

    1. Dassel FD Pork Chop Dinner
      5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Dassel Fire Dept presents their annual Pork Chop Dinner on Friday, Oct 14th from 5-8 pm. Serving Pork Chops, Potatoes, Corn and Bread. Cost is $7 for ages 11 and up, $5 for ages 5-10, $2 for an extra chop.

      The Dassel History Center presents their annual Dad’s Belgian Waffle Feed on Saturday, Oct 15th from 8-11am. All you can eat Waffles, Sausages, Toppings and a Beverage for $8 for adults and $5 for Children under 12.  

    2. Foster Parent Orientation
      9:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Mcleod County Social Services is hosting a Foster Parent Orientation on Saturday, Oct 15th from 9a-3p at the Mcleod Conty Solid Waste Management Building in Hutchinson. The meeting is an opportunity to learn about the foster care program and ask questions to see if this program may be right for you.     3. Fall Hotdish Supper
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Montrose Methodist Church is hosting its annual fall hotdish supper on Saturday October 15th.  The supper will take place from 4:30 to 7 pm, Featuring appetizers, salads, hotdish & beverage.  Cost is $10 for adults.  $5 for ages 5 – 10.  Age 4 and under are free.  Dessert available for an additional dollar.  Proceeds will benefit various mission programs.

    4. Fall Block Party
      5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      The Arlington Fire Department presents their Fall Block Party on Saturday, Oct 15th at their Fire Hall. A pork chop dinner is served from 5-7 pm, and live music from the Rhythm Kings and Dixie Maiden. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids 12 and under.

      9:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Celebrate the season with Minnesota Pioneer Park’s Fall Pancake Breakfast featuring real maple syrup on Sunday, October 16, from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Enjoy eggs, sausage, beverages, and all you can eat pancakes. Adults $8, $4 for kids up to 12, and 3 years and under free.  MN Pioneer Park is on Highway55 on the east side of Annandale.

      8:00 am – 6:00 pm

      St. Anastasia Church Rummage Sale is coming up Wednesday-Friday (Oct 19, 20, 21). Hours Wednesday and Thursday are 8a-6p and Friday is 8a-Noon. Quarter for most items, Friday is $2 bag day. Winter Coats and Jackets are $1 each.

      Rummage Sale at NewJourney UCC Church, Hutchinson on Friday, Oct. 21, 8 a.m. to 4 pm and Saturday, Oct 22, 9 a.m. to 12 noon  .Most items are 50 cents unless marked otherwise….Lots of great bargins!  Coffee and homemade cookies will be served with a free will offering.

      St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stewart is holding their annual Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Oct 22nd from 10a-1p. Serving a Luncheonof Chicken Wild Rice Soup, Turkey or BBQ Buns along with Pie and Ice Cream. Also shop the Bake Sale, Craft Sale, Quilts, and more!

    2. Chili and Soup Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. John Lutheran Church of Hollywood is holding their Chili and Sup Luncheon on Saturday, Oct 22nd from 11a-1p. Adults are $8, Children 5-12 are $3. Also don’t forget to shop their Bake Sale.

      Mayer Fire and Rescue will host an all you can eat fish fry on Sunday, Oct 23rd from 10:30a-1:30p in the Mayer Community Center. Serving Fish, Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw and more. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for Children ages 5-12. Children under 5 are free.  

    2. Night of Praise and Worship
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      Crossroads Community Church of Cokato presents a night of Praise and Worship on Sunday, Oct 23rd at 7 pm. Free Will Offering, for a night of praise and worship lead by local musicians and worship teams

    1. Winter Wonderland Holiday Home Tour
      8:00 am – 5:00 pm

      Today’s Women of Hutchinson presents their Winter Wonderland Holiday Home Bus Tour on Nov. 19th. A limited number of tickets are on sale at the Chamber Office starting Monday, Oct 24th until Sold Out. Advance Sale Tickets only for $30. Proceeds from the tour benefit Local Organizations.

      The Glencoe Lions invite you to their All you can eat Sausage/Ham Supper on Thursday, Oct 27th from 4:30-7 pm at the Pla-Mor Ballroom. Advance Tickets are $9, or $10 at the door, Children 4-10 are $5. Serving Sausage, Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Corn and more! Proceeds go to community projects. They also ask that you bring an item for the food shelf.
