    1. Memorial Day Program
      9:30 am – 11:00 am

      The Hutchinson VFW and American Legion will hold their Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 25th.  The Parade will leave the Legion at 9:30 am and proceed to Mcleod County Memorial Park.  Program will be at 10 am.  

    2. Brownton Memorial Day Service
      10:00 am – 11:30 am

      The Brownton Memorial Day Service will be held on Monday, May 25th at the Oak Grove Cemetery, starting at 10 am.  Pot Luck to follow at the Community Center at 11:30 am.  Also appearing at the Community Center is the Marine Corps Vette, America’s Mobile Memorial honoring the families of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.    In case of bad weather, service will be at the Community Center.

    3. Darwin Lakes Memorial Day Program
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      The 14th annual Darwin Lakes Area Memorial Day Program will be Monday, May 25th at 10:30 am at the Hantge Funeral Chapel.  The Keynote Speaker is National Guard Veteran Jacob Sanken of Hutchinson.  The Balloon release is set for 11 am.

    1. Pillow Cleaning
      7:00 am – 3:00 pm

      The Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary will offer at Pillow Cleaning Service on Saturday, May 30th from 7a-3p at the Hutchinson Elks Lodge.  Questions call 587-2442.

    1. Trinity Lutheran IC Social
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Trinity Lutheran Church of Grove City is having their Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, June 3rd from 4:30-7pm.  Serving BBQ or Ham Sandwiches, Potato Salad, Chips, Baked Beans, Pickles, Pie, Ice Cream, and beverage.  Suggested donation is $6 for adults, $3 for 11 and under, $2 for Pie and Ice Cream only.  Proceeds go to the Trinity Bible Camp Fund.

    1. Documentary Premiere
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Society and HCVN present the premiere of the local documentary “Weseloh Wagon Repair” on Thursday, June 4th from 7-8:30 pm at the Museum.  Free Admission.  Program premiere’s from 7-7:30 pm, followed by a social hour to talk with the Weseloh’s and enjoy refreshments.

    1. Pork Chop Fundraiser
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Society is having their Pork Chop Supper Fundraiser on Monday, June 8th from 4:30-7 pm at the Museum.  Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for kids.  Plus, enjoy music from Wally Pikal from 5-6 pm.

      1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

      The Next Senior Dance at the Cosmos Legion will be Wednesday, June 10th from 1:30-4:30 pm.  Music by Jerry’s One Man Band.  

    2. Community Fellowship Dinner
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Brownton Congregational Church will hold a Community Fellowship Dinner from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, June 10th.  Hamburgers and Hot Dogs will be served for a free will offering.

      St. John’s Church Ice Cream Social is Thursday, June 11th from 4:30-7:30 pm at the church, near Biscay.  Follow the blue signs from Highway 15 and 22.

    1. Bear Lake Sunshine Society Rummage Sale
      9:00 am – 4:00 pm

      The Bear Lake Sunshine Society is having their Rummage Sale from 9a-4p at Northwoods Park in Hutchinson on Friday, June 12.  Baked Goods also on the sale.  

    2. Food Packaging Event
      10:00 am – 3:00 pm

      The Hutchinson DAV Chapter 37 is looking for volunteers to help with the food for deployed troops families, packaging event. It is scheduled for Friday June 12 at the Jackson Campus at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. Packaging will run from 10:00 AM until finished! The group has enough donations to package about 110,000 meals, and they THANK all that made donations!!  Any questions should be directed to – Hutchinson Commander Chapter 37 Oather Martin 320-583-9011.

    1. Spring Shoot and Breakfast
      7:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Rainbow Sportsmens Club of Cokato is having their Spring Shoot with a Pancake and Sausage Breakfast on Sunday, June 14th.  Breakfast starts at 7 am, Handgun Balloon Shoot starts at 10 am, and the Trap Meet starts at 11 am.  Refreshments available all day

    1. Polka Service at St. Paul Lutheran
      9:00 am – 12:00 pm

      St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie will host its annual Polka Service on Sunday, June 21, 2015, beginning at 9:00 AM.  Music for the service will be by Chuck Thiel & The Jolly Ramblers.  Following the service, a pancake breakfast will be served.  The breakfast menu is pancakes, eggs, sausages, rolls, coffee and milk.  The cost for the breakfast is $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for children ages 5 – 15, and free for children ages 4 and younger.

    1. McLeod County Dairy Days
      10:00 am – 4:00 pm

      Stop in for Dairy Days around McLeod County in the Month of June!  Each event will feature the McLeod County Dairy Princesses and Ambassadors, Dairy Treats, and the chance to Register for Prizes.  Plus KDUZ/KARP/KGLB will be broadcasting from the event.  Here’s the upcoming Schedule:  June 24: Hutchinson @ Kwik Trip, 10a-1p – June 25: Glencoe Around Town all day

    3. Faith Lutheran Drive-In Diner Rescheduled
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson is rescheduling their Drive-In Diner to Wednesday, June 24th, 2015, from 4:00-7:00 PM. It had previously been planned for Wednesday, June 17th.

    4. MN Teen Challenge
      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      MN Teen Challenge will be speaking at Library Square in Hutchinson on Wednesday, June 24th starting at 6:30 pm.  They’ll be sharing their message and music on their faith based drug and alcohol addiction treatment center.  Hot Dogs, Chips, and Refreshments will be served for a free will donation.

    1. Music in the Winthrop Park
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      Music in the Winthrop City Park on Thursday, June 25th featuring George’s Concertina Band from 7-8:30 pm.  Concession Stand will be available, plus drawing for prizes during the night.  Bring your lawn chair!  (Bad Weather site: Tanker Bay)

    1. Gibbon Uncommon Band of Renown

      The Greater Gibbon Area Uncommon Band of Renown kicks off its 2015 Summer Season with a Community Concert in Gibbon City Park on Friday, June 26. Young and old alike are invited to enjoy the exciting mix of music! Gibbon Book Buddies will be serving food, beverages, and their delicious pies beginning at 6 pm; the concert begins at 7:15 pm. Come rain or shine!

    3. Swedefest at Bernadotte Lutheran Church
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Bernadotte Lutheran Church, rural Lafayette, hosting its 21st Annual Swedefest, Saturday, June 27, 2015. The  event includes entertainment, a Swedish smorgasbord, quilt raffle, silent auction, horse-drawn wagon rides, and more. Meal from 4-7 PM, quilt raffle at 7:30 PM, followed by a short devotional service.  Events will take place in church in case of inclement weather. For more information, call 507-228-8380.

    4. Peace Lutheran Church Ice Cream Social
      5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Peace Lutheran Church (400 Franklin Street SW) in Hutchinson is hosting an ice cream social on Saturday, June 27, 2015.  The event will begin at 5:00 PM with an outdoor polka service featuring Chuck Thiel and the Jolly Ramblers, followed by the ice cream social from 6:00 – 7:30 PM.  The cost is $6.00.  Each meal will include your choice of a pulled pork sandwich, a sloppy joe, or a Nathan’s hot dog, as well as potato salad, baked beans, pickles and beverages.

      Hutchinson is once again presenting its Music in the Park Series, Mondays this summer at Library Square.  Concerts and activities start at 6:30 pm.  Plus each night a local non-profit host will have refreshments for sale.  This years schedule includes:
