    1. MidSummer’s Festival
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      It’s a Midsummer’s Festival at Swedlanda Lutheran Church on Wednesday, June 20. An Ice-Cream Social will be held from 4:30 – 7:00 pm, with sandwiches, beans, potato salad, pie, and home-made ice cream. A program will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature The BASICS. Swedlanda Lutheran Church is 9 miles southwest of Hector, 73950 County Road 16. Please call 320-848-2490 for further information.

    2. Hutch Legion Auxiliary
      6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      Wednesday June 20th will be the Regular Meeting for Unit 96 Hutchinson, of the American Legion Auxiliary.  They will have Installation of Officers, with District President  Kat Benjamin acting as Installation Officer.   The meeting starts at 7pm, at VFW Post 906, Hutchinson.  A meal is available for purchase at 6pm at the VFW.

      Dairy Berry Day is Thursday, June 21st at Bandstand Park in Dassel at 7 pm. Serving Root Beer Floats or Ice Cream and Strawberries. Live Music in the Gazebo as well!

    1. LP Ambassadors serving Burgers
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Lester Prairie Ambassadors will be serving Burgers at Garber’s Meats in Lester Prairie Friday, June 22nd and Friday, June 29th from 10a-1p. Take part in the fundraiser with Burger Chips and Pop for $5.

    2. Ray Wilkens Memorial Golf Scramble
      1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

      Take part in the Ray Wilken’s Memorial Golf Scramble on Friday, June 22nd at 1 pm at the Glencoe Country Club. All proceeds benefit the Mcleod County Veterans Association.     1. Tournament of Duty Golf Scramble
      11:00 am – 6:00 pm

      You’re invited to participate in the 6th annual Tournament of Duty Golf Scramble and Fundraiser on Saturday, June 23rd at the Island Pine Golf Club of Atwater. The event will benefit the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Program, The Eagle’s Healing Nest, and the Wounded Warrior Project.     2. Swedefest
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Bernadotte Lutheran Church of Lafayette will have their annual Swedefest on Saturday, June 23rd from 4-8 pm. The event includes a Swedish Mid Summer Picnic, Entertainment, silent auction, horse drawn wagon rides, kids activities and more!

      8:00 am – 10:30 am

      The Silver Lake Legion is serving Potato or Regular Pancakes on Sunday, June 24th from 8a-10:30a. Also serving Scrambled Eggs, Ham, Sausage and more! All you can eat for $8 adults or $4 child.

    2. A MidSummer Nights Dream
      2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The Fungus Amongus Players present a MidSummer Night’s Dream at the Litchfield Opera House on Sunday, June 24th at 2 pm. Cost is just a free will offering for the performance and refreshments.

      ACT on Alzheimer’s of Sibley County presents the movie “Glen Campbell: I’ll be me” on Tuesday, June 26th at 2 pm in the Gibbon Community Center. The event is Free, but free will donations are accepted.

      12:00 pm – 12:30 pm

      Peace Lutheran Church of Hutchinson has their Summer Concert Series on Wednesday’s this summer at the church. Concerts start at Noon, Salad Luncheon at 12:30 pm for a suggested donation of $8. Upcoming Schedule: June 27-Dr Joan DeVee Dixon and the Hutchinson Memorial Rifle Squad July 11: Dr Mary Newton, Organist from Plymouth July 18: Chuck Thiel, Concertina from Lester Prairie July 25: The Cogley Sisters and Bev Wangerin August 1: Alice Fiedlerova, Pianist from Prague, Czech Republic.

    2. Ice Cream Social
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      St Pauls Lutheran Church of Hector has their Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, June 27th from 5-7 pm. Serving BBQ’s, Turkey Sandwiches, Baked Beans, Pie Ice Cream and more for a Free Will Donation. After the event Local singer/songwriter Ed Newberg will be in concert and worship at 7 pm.

    3. Glencoe Music in the Park
      6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Glencoe Lions Club “Music In The Park” series begins on Wednesday, June 27th at Oak Leaf Park. Free live music features Allen and Matt Carlson. The Glencoe Lions will be serving a meal with a shredded beef sandwich, chips, pickles, dessert and beverage at a nominal fee from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the music beginning at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds go to local Community Projects. Collection boxes for used eyeglasses and hearing aids will also be available.

      The Bird Island Polka Fest is Friday-Sunday, June 29-July 1. Friday music is with the Top Notchman, Saturday music is the Winter Texan day with the Top Notchman and Leon Olson performing, Sunday music is the Arizona Snowbirds get together with Larry Olson and Chuck Thiel performing. Hours Friday 2-10 pm, Saturday Noon-9pm, and Sunday Noon-6pm.

      The Brownton Congregational Church is hosting their Community Meal the Second Wednesday of Each month (July 11) from 5-7 pm. Cost is just a free Will Donation. Take Outs available.  

    2. Glencoe Lions Music in the Park
      6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Glencoe Lions Club Music In The Park series resumes Wednesday, July 11 th at Oak Leaf Park, Glencoe, in Shelter #2, featuring Jim and Mike Wendolek with their Old-Time favorites. A pork rib sandwich with chips, pickles, dessert and beverage will be available from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the free performance from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music and the food. Proceeds will go toward community projects. Bring your used eyeglasses and hearing aids.

      Music in the Winthrop Park is on Thursday, July 12th from 6:30-8 pm. Lowell Schubert and Nancy Buckentin will perform. Refreshments available. Bring a lawn chair! (Rain Venue: Hahn’s Dining)

      All Saints Lutheran Church of Darwin has their annual Ice Cream Social on Friday, July 13th from 4-7 pm. Serving Sloppy Joes, Salads, Pie, Ice Cream and more! Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for Children, and $2.50 for Pie and Ice Cream only.

      Grace Lutheran Church has their Pork Chop Dinner on Friday, July 13th from 4-7 pm at the Kingston Community Center. Dinner includes Pork Chops, Potato Salad, Beans, and more for $10.

      St Mary’s of Czestochowa has their annual Country Festival on Sunday, July 15th. Mass at 10 am, Dinner at 11 am, Cemetery Prayer Service at 1 pm. Dinner includes Pork Chops, Roast Beef, Baked Potato, Corn on the Cob, Coleslaw and more! Cost is $13, under 12 is $8, and under 5 is Free. Also enjoy the live music, shop the country store, Games, Bingo and silent auction!

      Hutchinson Soccer has their Family Fun Day on Tuesday, July 17th at the High School Soccer Field. The event is for Boys and Girls in grades 5-12. Free Meal from 5:30-6:30 pm, Soccer activities from 6:30-8pm. No Soccer experience nessecary, Free to attend.

    2. Beer and Hymns
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      You are invited to Beer and Hymns on Tuesday, July 17th at the Buffalo Range of Buffalo Lake from 7-9 pm. Serving Pork Chop Sandwiches, Potato Salad and more for $8 a plate from 6-7:30 pm. All proceeds support the Zion Lutheran Church Improvement Fund.
