    1. SMART Program
      8:30 am – 12:00 pm

      Senior Providers of Mcleod County presents a Stress Management and Resiliency Training Program by Debbie Fuehrer on Tuesday, Oct 3rd at the Hutchinson Event Center from 8:30a-Noon. The program is designed for Caregivers, Professionals, Families, Friends and the Community. The SMART program is scientifically proven to decrease symptoms of stress and anxieity and increase well being. Tickets available at Harmony River of Hutchinson and Ecument of Litchfield.

    1. Fall Festival
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      GSL ECFE has it’s fall festival on Thursday, Oct 5th from 10:30-11:30 am or 6-7 pm at the Early Childhood Learning Center in Glencoe. Ages 0-Kingergarten Entry Students and Parents are welcome to learn about Nature items, and explore activities related to fall. Cost is Free but they ask you bring an item for the Mcleod Emergency Food Shelf. Register online at the GSL School Website.  

    2. Fall Festival
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      You are invited to the United Lutheran Church of Lake Lillian’s annual Fall Festival on Thursday, Oct. 5th. Swedish Meatball Dinner served. Cost is $10 for adults, $3 for those 6-12, and 5 and under free.

    3. TWOH Meeting
      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Next meeting of Today’s Women of Hutchinson is coming up on Thursday, Oct 5th starting at 6:30 pm at Harmony River’s lower level.

      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Church of Peace in NYA has a Sloppy Joe Lunch on Friday, October 6th from 11a-1p. Cost is just a free will offering, take outs available

    2. St A’s School Fundraiser
      1:15 pm – 3:00 pm

      On Friday, October 6, St. Anastasia School students along with staff, parents and friends will participate in the Marathon for Nonpublic Education, a 3.5 mile walk along the crow river to raise funds and awareness for their school.  .  The students will leave from the school gym at approximately 1:20 p.m. and return from the walk around 3:00 p.m.   As St. Anastasia Catholic School’s largest fundraiser, the Marathon helps to support the continuous growth of its students. Donations can be sent to St. Anastasia School – Marathon, 400 Lake Street SW, Hutchinson, MN 55350 or online at www.stanastasiaschool.net

    3. Kimball Fish Fry
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      The Kimball Lions have their Fall Fish Fry on Friday, Oct 6th from 4:30-7:30pm at the Willow Creek Park Shelter. Cost is $9 for adults, $4 for 12 and under…All you can Eat! Proceeds go to the community.

    1. A View from the Top Quilt
      10:00 am – 3:00 pm

      The Litchfield Opera House presents “A view from the Top Quilt”, a Fiber Art exhibit by Sharon Rotz on Saturday, Oct 7th from 10a-3p and on Sunday, Oct 8th from 2-4 pm. Sharon also will present a lecture and demonstration from 1-2 pm Sunday. Admission for the lecture, demonstration, and exhibit is $10, while the exhibit only is $5. Door Prizes will be given out also.

    2. Peace Fall Gathering
      10:30 am – 12:00 pm

      The Peace Fall Gathering is Saturday, Oct 7th at 10:30 am at the Peace Lutheran Church of Cosmos. Program with Pastor Marlaine at 10:30 am as she will share her experiences in South Africa, and a Salad Luncheon will follow. Cost is $5.  

    3. MS Fundraiser
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      It’s the 4th annual Multiple Sclerosis Research Fundraiser on Saturday, October 7th from 4-8 pm at the Glencoe VFW. Live Music by the Country Fried Grubers from 7-11 pm, Pork Feed from 4-7 pm, Silent Auction, Door Prizes and more.

      The Silver Lake Lions Club invites you to their Fall Brunch on Sunday, Oct 8th from 8:30a-Noon at the Silver Lake Auditorium. Serving Eggs, Pancakes, Sausage and more! Adults are $7, Under 12 are $3. Plus the Lions encourage you to bring an item for the Mcleod Emergency Food Shelf. Proceeds support the SL Lions Football Program.

      The Vineyard United Methodist Church of Hutchinson is having their annual Turkey Dinner on Wednesday, Oct 11th from 4-7 pm. Take outs and Delivery available (call 587-2200 for delivery). Don’t forget to shop the Country Store, Quilts, Crafts, Baked and Canned Items and Produce.

      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      The FungasAmoungus Players of Dassel Cokato present “Two by Two” a musical telling of the Noah’s Ark Story. Performances are Thursday, Oct 12 and Friday, Oct 13 at 7 pm – Saturday, Oct 14th Dinner Theatre Performance starting at 5 pm – Sunday, Oct 15th at 2 pm – Wed and Thurs Oct 18 and 19 at 7 pm – Saturday Oct 21st at 7 pm – Sunday Oct 22 at 2 pm. Performances at the Dassel History Center and Ergot Museum.

      The Dassel Fire Dept’s annual Pork Chop Supper is Friday, Oct 13th from 5-8 pm. Cost is $8 for ages 11 and up, $5 for ages 5-10 and free for those 4 and under, plus $2 for an extra chop. .

    1. Salad Luncheon
      10:30 am – 12:00 pm

      The women of Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake would like to invite area ladies to their annual Fall Salad Luncheon on Saturday, October 14th at 10:30 am.  The event is entirely free and will include a variety of delicious salads, as well as a talk and music by Mindy Lamberty Tembom, missionary with Wycliffe Associates in Cameroon. Reservations are not required, but are appreciated for planning purposes.     2. Montrose Methodist Church annual fall hot dish supper
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Montrose Methodist Church annual fall hot dish supper will take place on Saturday October 14 at the church from 4:30 pm to 7.  The church is located at 230 Center Ave S in Montrose  (next to the community center) and is handicap accessible.  Featuring appetizers, salads, hot dishes, desserts & beverage.  Cost is $11 for adults; $6 for kids 5 to 12.  Age 4 and under are free.  Proceeds will benefit various mission and outreach projects.

      Help Steve Weber “Mow Down Cancer” at a benefit on Sunday, October 15th at the Silver Lake Auditorium from 9a-1p. Enjoy Rolls and Coffee from 9-10 am, and a Spaghetti Lunch from 10a-1p. There is a Bake Sale and Silent Auction as well.

      St Aloysius Church in Olivia invites you to their Annual Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct 15th. Mass at 10 am, Festival from 11a-1:30p. Serving a Home Made Fried Chicken Dinner, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Carrots, Coleslaw, Cranberries and more! Cost is $11 for adults or take outs, $6 for children 10 and under. Also check out the Pumpkin Patch, Farmers Market, Bakers Corner and others!

    1. BI FD Open House
      6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Bird Island Fire Department is hosting their annual open house on Tuesday, October 17th from 6pm-8pm at the Bird Island Fire Hall. Come out and meet Bird Island’s bravest, check out the trucks, ask about volunteer opportunities, and more! The open house will include a light meal served from 6pm-7pm, live demonstrations, fire trucks and gear on display, an opportunity to shoot a real fire hose at a simulated fire, and each child will receive a free Junior Firefighter Helmet while supplies last. No cost!

      St. Anastasia Church Rummage Sale is coming up Wed-Fri, Oct 18-20th at the School Auditorium. Hours Wed and Thur 8a-6p, Friday 8a-Noon. Quarter for most items, Friday is $2/bag day. Winter Coats are $1 each.

      The Fall Rummage Sale at New Journey UCC  of Hutchinson is Friday, October 20 -  8 a.m. -4 p.m. And Saturday,October 21 - 9 a.m. - 12 noon. Everything is 50 cents unless marked otherwise and Homemade cookies and coffee for sale also

      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Glencoe Lions Club invites you to their Annual “All You Care to Eat” Sausage/Ham Supper on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Pla-Mor Ballroom, Glencoe, serving from 4:30 p.m. To 7 p.m. with take-outs available. Menu includes: Sausage, ham, scalloped potatoes, corn, applesauce, dinner rolls, bars, coffee and milk. Advance adult tickets are only $9.00 and are available from Lions Club Members. Prices at the door are Adults – $10.00; Children (age 4 – 10) $5.00, and Children age three and under eat FREE. Proceeds will be used toward community projects. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the McLeod Emergency Food Shelf. Collection boxes will also be available for your used eyeglasses, sunglasses and hearing aids.

      The SL Knights of Columbus are having a Paper Drive on Friday and Saturday, Oct 27/28. Items accepted include Newspapers, Magazines, Cardboard, and Junk Mail. Drop off items on the north side of the Holy Family Church from 7a-7p.
