    1. 5K Glow Run
      6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      take part in Mcleod for Tomorrow’s 5K Glow Run on Saturday, Sept 9th at Masonic West River Park in Hutchinson. Check in is at 6 pm, Run starts at 8 pm. Also enjoy a Smores and Hot Dog Bonfire after party. To register visit the groups facebook page or go to mcleodfortomorrow.com

    1. Steeple Fest
      9:30 am – 1:00 pm

      St John’s Lutheran Church of Winthrop has their Steeple Fest on Sunday, Sept 10th. 9:30 am Polka Worship with the Nite Owls, and and All you can eat ham and meatball dinner from 11a-1:30p. Adults are $11, Children 4-10 are $5. Also take part in the raffle, Silent Auction, Bake Sale and more!

    2. Outdoor Worship and Potluck
      10:00 am – 11:30 am

      Faith Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake will be having a 10:00am outdoor worship service on Sunday, September 10th.  Following worship, there will be a potluck dinner and games.  Bring a lawn chair and your favorite dish to pass.  Everyone welcome!!

    3. Fall Festival
      10:30 am – 12:30 pm

      Grace Lutheran Church of Brownton invites you to their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 10th from 10:30a-12:30p. Serving Smoked Pork Chops, Hot Dogs, Scalloped Potatoes, and more! Adults are $12 ($5 for an extra chop), Children are $8 for a Pork Chop meal or $4 for a Hot Dog Meal. Also stop at the Country Store and take part in the raffle.

    4. Reformation Celebration
      10:30 am – 2:00 pm

      St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart is hosting their 13th annual Church Picnic and Reformation Celebration on Sunday, Sept. 10th. Service at 10:30 am, with Potluck Picnic to follow. Reformation Celebration at 1 pm presented by Larry Strenge.

    5. Becky Farrell Benefit
      11:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Enjoy a Benefit Pulled Pork Lunch fo Becky Farrell on Sunday, Sept. 10th at the King Pin Pub in Plato from 11a-3p. Also shop the bake sale and silent auction (including a Gene Simmons signed Guitar). Proceeds go to Farrell who’s been battling some health conditions and heart surgeries.  

    6. Benefit Barn Dance
      1:00 pm – 5:30 pm

      The 8th annual Benefit Barn Dance will be Sunday, September 10th from 1-5:30 pm at the Wilbert Hahn Barn (15122 20th Street, Brownton). Proceeds from the Dance will benefit Carol Polzin (battleing Neurological Problems), Asa House (group home for teens), and South African Mission. Enjoy Music by George’s Concertina Band, Silent Auction Items, and Games for the Kids.

      The Brownton American Legion Auxiliary will meet on Monday, Sept. 11th at 7:30 pm at the Brownton Community Center.

      The Next Senior Dance will be Wednesday, Sept. 13th from 1:30-4:30 pm at the Former Cosmos Legion. Music by Ed Vern Black.  

    2. Oktoberfest in September
      5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      Enjoy Oktoberfest in September at the Brownton Community Center on Wednesday, September 13th. Brats, German Potato Salad, Kraut and more served at 5:30 pm, Music by George’s Concertina Band from 6-8 pm.

    1. Rummage Sale
      8:00 am – 6:00 pm

      St John’s Lutheran Church of Hollywood is holding their Rummage Sale on Thursday-Saturday (Sept 14, 15, 16). Hours Thursday and Friday are 8a-6p, and Saturday 8a-1p. Saturday is bag day, fill a bag for $5. Also serving Sloppy Joes and Hot Dogs.  

    2. Fall Firearms Safety Classes
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Gopher Campfire is holding their Fall Firearms Safety Classes starting Thursday, Sept. 14th at 6 pm. Must attend all three classes! Cost is $15 (half to Gopher Campfire, Half to the MN DNR). The class Is open to all boys and girls ages 11 and older. Class size is limited, to reserve a spot email Brian at schmelingoil@gmail.com.

      A second class will begin on Monday, Sept. 18th also at Gopher Campfire. To reserve a spot in this calss call 587-3153.

      The Glencoe VFW Auxiliary is hosting a Pillow Cleaning on Friday, Sept. 15th from 7a-3p at the VFW Club in Glencoe. Get New Ticking, On the spot cleaning, and returned the same day.  

    2. Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      You are welcome to a Salad Luncheon on Friday, Sept. 15th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Brownton. Serving assorted salads from 11a-1p. Cost is $8.  

    3. Turkey Dinner
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      First Presbyterian Church of Howard Lake will be hosting its Annual Turkey Dinner, Friday, September 15, from 4:30 -7:30 pm. Adults are $12.00, Children 5-12 are $5.00, and under 5 are free. Take-Out is also available!

    4. Pork Chop Dinner
      5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      The Cedar Mills Lions annual Pork Chop Dinner is Friday, Sept. 15th from 5-7:30 pm at the Cedar Mills Gun Club. Free Dance from 7-10 pm with the Detour Band. Proceeds go to Local Projects.

      You’re invited to a benefit for Samantha Bernardy on Saturday, September 16th at Cactus Jacks 2 in Stewart. Meal served from 4-7p for a Suggested Donation of $10. Also take part in the meat Raffle, Bake Sale, Silent Auction and Live Music. Proceeds benefit Bernardy who’s fighting a brain tumor.

      The 75th annual Hector Flight Breakfast is on Sunday, Sept. 17th, serving from 7:30a-12:30p. All you can eat for a Free Will Donation. All proceeds benefit McKenya Egge. This year’s Featured aircraft is a Grumman Wildcat US Navy WW2 Fighter. Kids Ping Pong Ball Drop is at 11:30am. Everyone Welcome

    2. Animals in Church
      9:30 am – 11:00 am

      On Sunday, September 17th at 9:30 am the Grace Bible Church of Silver Lake will be holding a special Rally Day Service with Guest speaker Caara Holmstrom of Paul Bunyan’s Animal Land near Bemidji, MN. Caara will be bringing a young African Spotted Leopard, a skink, and other creatures.  Her program reveals God’s creative hand in what He has made. Caara is an educator, as well as the owner of Paul Bunyan’s Animal Land. This is a great opportunity to get up close and learn about some unique members of creation. The public is invited to attend, and there is no charge. 

    3. Fall Festival
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Oster Covenant Church is having their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 17th. Service at 10 am, Potluck Lunch and music by the Wagon Wheelers following the service.  

    4. St John’s Fall Festival
      11:00 am – 3:00 pm

      St John’s Catholic Church’s Fall Festival is Sunday, Sept. 17th at the St John’s Education Center on Highway 12 between Dassel and Cokato. Roast Beef Dinner served from 11a-2p. Adults are $9, Kids 4-10 are $4. Also take part in the Cash Raffle, Food Stand, Bingo, Country Store and more!

    5. Fall Festival

      The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Watertown is having their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 17th. Serving a Homestyle Turkey Dinner from 11:30a-1:30p. Also take part in Games, Bingo, Raffle, Music, Silent Auction and more!

    6. Walk for Life
      1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The Inmotion Walk for Life is Sunday, Sept. 17th from 1-4 pm at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson. Checkin at Noon, Music, Fun Zone, Refreshments and more. Speakers include Dan Reidenberg, SAVE Executive Director and Dan Hanson, Suicide Survivor, Combat Veteran and Wounded Warrior Program. To register or get more information go to SAVE.org.

      First Lutheran Church of Winthrop is hosting a Block Party on Wednesday, Sept. 20th from 4:30-8:30 pm. Enjoy Free Sweet Corn, Hot Dogs, Chips, and Lemonade. Also music from “Church of Cash”, Bounce House, Face Painting and more! 

    2. Chicken Pie Supper
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Hector United Methodist Church has a Chicken Pie Supper on Wednesday, Sept. 20th starting at 4:30 pm. Serving Chicken and Biscuits, Mashed Potatoes, Baked Beans and more! Adults are $11, 5-12 years old are $6. Take Outs available.

      The Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary has a few events coming up: Wednesday, Sept 20th is their first Unit Meeting of the year, 7 pm at the Hutchinson VFW – Unit’s Cashwise Cookout Thursday-Saturday September 21-23 – Pillow Fluff event on Saturday, Sept 23rd from 7a-1p.

      First Lutheran LWML is have a Salad Luncheon on September 22 from 11:00-1:00.  They will be serving a variety of  salads , breads, and salads. It will be held in the First Lutheran Fellowship Room in Glencoe.

      7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      The Litchfield Opera House presents 4 Hall of Fame Musicians in Concert on Saturday, Sept. 23rd from 7-10 pm. Pat Curto, Danny Grossnickle, Mike Shaw, and Tony Stark perform together, with tickets $10 for all ages. Pulled Pork or Turkey meal served starting at 6 pm. RSVP to litchopera@yahoo.com
