Glencoe Historic Preservation Society presents Seasons of Quilts (Quilt show) on Saturday May 6th at First Lutheran Fellowship Center. There will be more than 130 quilts plus quilted runners including ,vintage quilts from Mcleod County Museum made from the late 1800′s and other things on display. Diane Alsleben will be giving a presentation from 1-2:00. The quilt show will be held from 10a-3p. Snacks will be served. Proceeds will go to the Henry Hill Stone project.

The DC Arts Association presents the Monroe Crossing Bluegrass and Gospel Show on Saturday, May 6th at the Dassel Cokato Performing Arts Center. Reserved seat tickets are $20/Adults and $10/Youth (ages 18 and under) and are available online at pac.dc.k12.mn.us . They are also sold through the Dassel-Cokato Community Education office. The annual Walk MS in McLeod County is Sunday, May 7th at the West Masonic Park along the Crow River in Hutchinson. Registration is at 10 am, Walk at 11am. Proceeds go to those living with MS with a hope to fine a cure. Registation and Donations can be done online at walkms.org

A Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction will be held on May 20 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Montrose Community Center. Community members are encouraged to attend and help support Dana Willard who has been active in the local communities supporting cancer benefits. She was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer herself. All proceeds from the benefit will be used for medical expenses.
