    1. Historical Society Fundraiser
      2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Society presents their Then and Now Fashion Show on Sunday, April 30th at 2 pm at the Museum in Hutchinson. Tickets are $25 and includes Appetizers and beverage, Tour of the Fashions, and the Show. More info at mcleodhistory.org

    2. Singing Friends Chorus
      2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

      The Singing Friends Chorus presents two concerts this spring:   Sunday, April 30th at 2 pm at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany and Sunday, May 7th at 2 pm at Church of Peace in Norwood.   The concert features a wide variety of choral music, including classic choral works, spirituals and praise songs, folk songs, and 60s favorites. Admission is free will offering at the door, with a reception to follow.

      The St Pius X Council of Catholic Women present their Spring Salad Luncheon on Thursday, May 4th from 11a-1p. Adults are $8 in advance, $9 at the door. Take outs available. For delivery call 864-5162. 

    2. National Day of Prayer in Hutchinson
      12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      “For Your Great NAME’s Sake” is the theme for this year’s 66th National Day of Prayer. Events in Hutchinson will be held on Thursday, May 4. The community prayer locations in Hutchinson will be at Library Square on Main St, noon-1:00pm and Crosspoint Church, 1215 Roberts Rd SW, 7-8pm. Everyone is invited, and there is no cost to attend. In case of rain the noon event will be at Oak Heights Covenant Church. Bring chairs or blankets for outdoor seating. At the evening event at Crosspoint Church childcare will be provided nursery-third grade.

      The next meeting of Today’s Women of Hutchinson is Thursday, May 4th at Harmony River at 6:30 pm.

    1. Pork Chop Dinner
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      United Lutheran Church of Lake Lillian has their annual Pork Chop Dinner on Friday, May 5th from 4:30-7p. Cost is $10 for a 1 chop dinner, $13 for two chops.  

    2. School of Rock
      5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      New Century Academy presents “School of Rock” on Friday, May 5th from 5-8 pm. Tickets for this fundraiser are $7 at the door (including pop and pizza).

      The Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary has a Pillow Cleaning on Saturday, May 6th from 7a-1p at the Hutchinson Days Inn.  

    2. Habitat Ground Blessing
      10:00 am – 11:00 am

      The Community is invited to join in celebrating the latest Habitat for Humanity House Construction. The informal ground blessing ceremony begins at 10:00 a.m. On Saturday, May 6 at 429 Grant Ave SE in Hutchinson. Along with local Habitat for Humanity representatives and a Thrivent Financial representative, the family will speak during a short program. This is the 25 th family to partner with Crow River Habitat for Humanity since 1994.

    3. Quilt Show
      10:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Glencoe Historic Preservation Society presents Seasons of Quilts (Quilt show) on Saturday May 6th at First Lutheran Fellowship Center.  There will be more than 130 quilts plus quilted runners including ,vintage quilts from Mcleod County Museum made from the late 1800′s  and other things on display. Diane Alsleben will be giving a presentation from 1-2:00.  The quilt show will be held from 10a-3p. Snacks will be served. Proceeds will go to the Henry Hill Stone project.

    4. Nordic Fest
      11:00 am – 3:00 pm

      You are invited to Nordic Fest at Ness Church of Litchfield on Saturday, May 6th from 11a-3p. Enjoy traditional music, arts, crafts and food, plus a Fiddle Program from Noon-3 pm.  

    5. Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St John Lutheran Church of Hollywood has their Salad Luncheon on Saturday, May 6th from 11a-1p. Cost is $8 for adults, Children 5-12 are $3, and under 4 are free.  

    6. Monroe Crossing
      7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The DC Arts Association presents the Monroe Crossing Bluegrass and Gospel Show on Saturday, May 6th at the Dassel Cokato Performing Arts Center. Reserved seat tickets are $20/Adults and $10/Youth (ages 18 and under) and are available online at pac.dc.k12.mn.us . They are also sold through the Dassel-Cokato Community Education office.     1. Walk MS Hutchinson
      10:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The annual Walk MS in McLeod County is Sunday, May 7th at the West Masonic Park along the Crow River in Hutchinson. Registration is at 10 am, Walk at 11am. Proceeds go to those living with MS with a hope to fine a cure. Registation and Donations can be done online at walkms.org

    2. Pork Chop Dinner
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church of Hamburg is serving a Pork Chop Dinner on Sunday, May 7th from 11a-1p. Everyone welcome. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for Child’s Hot Dog Meal.  

    3. Plato Lions Celebration
      1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

      The Plato Lions Club celebrates 100 years of Lions Worldwide on Sunday, May 7th at the Plato Park. Refreshments served, Dedication Ceremony at 1 pm, Door prizes awarded.

      MN Firearms Spring Safety Training starts May 8th at Gopher Campfire Clubhouse. Must be 12 years of age or older, open to boys and girls, and you must attend all sessions. To enroll or if you have questions contact 587-3153.

      There is a pillow cleaning on Thursday, May 11th from 7:30a-3p at the Lester Prairie City Hall. You can drop off pillows from 6-8 pm Tuesday May 10th.  

    2. CTK Rummage Sale
      9:00 am – 6:00 pm

      Christ the King Lutheran Church of Hutchinson has their annual Rummage Sale on Thursday May 18th-Saturday, May 20th. Hours Thursday and Friday 9a-6p, Saturday 9a-11a (Saturday is bag day). Proceeds from the sale benefit the church, Habitat for Humanity, and the church’s Monthly Community Breakfast.

      New Journey UCC of Hutchinson has their Rummage Sale on May 12 and 13. Hours Friday 8a-4p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Also stop in for Homemade Cookies and Coffee.

      The Dassel Rod and Gun Club is holding their annual Fishing Opener Breakfast on Saturday, May 13th from 6:30a-11a at Sportsmens Park on Lake Washington. Serving all you can eat French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage and more! Adults are $8, Children under 12 are $4.  

    2. Common Cup 5K
      8:30 am – 9:30 am

      Common Cup Ministry has their 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, May 13th at the Masonic West River Park in Hutchinson. Preregistration Deadline is May 3rd…Cost is $25 for individual, $35 for Couple, and $50 for family. (Add $5 for same day registration) Registration forms are available at the Common Cup offices in Hutchinson or Glencoe…or online at common-cup.org

    3. Salad Luncheon

      Faith Presbyterian Church of Silver Lake’s Spring Salad Luncheon is on May 13 at 11:30 AM.  There will be assorted salads, and desserts and a beverage as coffee.  Adults tickets are $8.00,  Children ages 5-12 are $4.00 and under 5 Free.

      Peace Lutheran Church of Hutchinson has a Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 14th from 10:30a-12:30p. Serving Blueberry French Toast, Apple French Toast, Ham, and more. $8 for adults, $4 for Kids 4-12.

      You’re invited to a fundraiser for the Mcleod Conty Historical Society, Monday May 15th from 11a-9p at Buffalo Wild Wings. Just print a fundraiser ticket from mcleodhistory.org and then eat at BWW that day. 15% of your total bill will be donated to the society and museum.

      The Hutchinson VFW Auxiliary is hosting their Poppy Luncheon on Wednesday, May 17th from 11a-1p at the VFW. Serving Chicken Macaroni Salad, Jello, Buns and more. Proceeds go to the Veterans Relief Fund.

      Join us for the Senior and Pre Senior Fair on Thursday, May 18th from 12:30-4:30 pm at the Glencoe City Center. Free Admission, Refreshments, Vendor Displays, and Seminars. Seminars include: a Medicare talk by Tim Jopp, a Scams and Identity Theft talk from Capt Wyatt Bienfang of the Glencoe Police Department, and a Veterans Benefits talk from Jim Lauer of the Mcleod County Veterans Service Department.  

    3. May Brain Boosting Workshop
      6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      The MN Brain Injury Force has their latest Brain Boosting Workshop on Thursday, May 18 at 6 pm at Hutchinson Health Hospital Room F. This Month…Dr Sarah Peters will share her story of her own traumatic brain injury story of healing and hope. More info at MNBIF.org
