    1. Fall Shoot and Pancake Breakfast
      7:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The Rainbow Sportsmen Club, north of Cokato has their Fall Shoot and Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, Sept. 13th, serving from 7a-Noon.  Meat Shoot at 10 am, Running Deer and 22 gallery shoot also.  

    2. Finger Prints of God
      9:30 am – 11:00 am

      On Sunday, September 13th at 9:30 am Grace Bible Church of Silver Lake will be holding a special Rally Day Service with Guest speaker Caara Holmstrom of Paul Bunyan’s Animal Land near Bemidji, MN. Caara will be presenting her program “Finger Prints of God” and will be bringing Bindi the Kangaroo, Hedgehogs, a rare parrot, and other creatures. Caara is an educator, as well as the owner of Paul Bunyan’s Animal Land. This is a great opportunity to get up close and learn about some unique members of creation. The public is invited to attend.  

    3. Steeple Fest
      9:30 am – 1:30 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Winthrop is having their Steeple Fest on Sunday, Sept 13th.  The event starts with a Polka Worship at 9:30 am, All you can eat Ham and Meatball Dinner from 11a-1:30p.  Cost for the meal is $10 for adults, $5 for children 4-10, under 3 eat free.  Also take part in the raffle, Silent Auction, Bake and Garden Sale and the Pie and Ice Cream social.  

    4. Rally Sunday
      10:00 am – 12:00 pm

      Peace Lutheran will be celebrating Rally Sunday Sept. 13th with a Pie Auction after lunch located at 600 Kristi LANE JUST OFF Cty.20 east of Watertown.  Also a silent auction  and games available.

    5. Grace Luth Fall Festival
      10:30 am – 12:30 pm

      Grace Lutheran Church of Brownton has their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 13th from 10:30a-12:30p.  On the menu is Smoked Pork Chops, Hot Dogs, Scalloped Potatoes, Corn, Glazed Carrots and more!  Adults are $12 (extra chop is $5), Children 12 and under are $6 for a pork Chop or $4 for a Hot Dog.  Drive up meals are available after 9:30 am…call 320-328-5533 to order.  Also take part in the basket raffle or shop the Country Store.

    6. Barn Dance
      1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      A benefit Barn Dance will be held on Sunday, Sept. 13th from 1-5 pm at the Wilbert Hahn residence of Brownton (15122 20th St).  Music by George’s Concertina Band, Silent Auction, Garden Surpluses, Food and more!  Event benefits college fund for Steph and Mitchell Klockmann (their dad just passed away in a truck accident) and South Africa Mission of Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Auburn.

    1. Ecumen of Litchfield Volunteers
      5:30 pm – 8:30 pm

      Ecumen Home Care and Hospice of Litchfield is looking for Hospice Volunteers.  Training starts on Monday, Sept. 14th from 5:30-8:30 pm in the Viking Room of Emmaus Place in Litchfield.  Training will run for 6 straight Mondays.  Questions or to register call Nicole 373-6604.

    2. Brownton Legion Meeting
      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Brownton American Legion Post and Auxiliary will be meeting on Monday, Sept. 14th at the Brownton Community Center starting at 7:30 pm.

    1. HL Bloodmobile
      1:00 pm – 6:45 pm

      The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Howard Lake at the Orchard Christian Church on Tuesday, Sept. 15th from 1-6:45 pm.  For an appointment contact Donna at 320-543-2444, appointments are preferred.  

    2. Singing Friends Chorus
      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Singing Friends Chorus will begin rehearsals for its 2015 Christmas concert on September 15th.  Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm, at All Saints Lutheran Church, NYA.  Now in its 12th year, the Chorus is an all-volunteer, all-ages 30-voice SATB ensemble with members from McLeod, Carver, Sibley and Meeker Counties.  For more information, please come to the September 15th rehearsal, which is open to all, or call director Karen de Boer at 320-864-2742.

    1. Garden Salad and Hotdish Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Annandale has their Garden Salad and Hotdish Luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 16th from 11a-1p.  Tickets sold at the door…$8 adults, $3 for children 10 and under. 

    2. Chicken Pie Supper
      4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

      The Hector United Methodist Church has their Chicken Pie Supper on Wednesday, Sept. 16th starting at 4:30 pm.  Serving Family Style, Chicken and Biscuits, Real Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Homemade Baked Beans and more!  Adults are $10, Ages 5-12 are $5, 4 and under are free.   They will also be collecting free will donations to the Renville County Food Shelf.

    1. Fall Firearms Safety Class
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Gopher Campfire Club is hosting their Fall Firearms Safety Class starting September 17th.  Participants MUST attend all classes.  Cost is $7.50 to Gopher Campfire and $7.50 to the DNR.  The class is open to Boys and Girls, Men and Women ages 11 and older.  Must bring along either your birth certificate or drivers liscense to the first class.  Regsiter by contacting Brian at schmelingoil@gmail.com

      The Glencoe VFW Auxiliary is having a Fluff and Puff Pillow Cleaning on Friday, Sept. 18th from 7a-3p at the club.  New Ticking, Returned the Same Day, on the Spot Cleaning.  

    2. Brownton Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Immanuel Lutheran Church of Brownton invites you to a Salad Luncheon on Friday, Sept. 18th.  Serving from 11a-1p, cost is $8.  Sponsored by the Concordia Ladies Aid.

    1. Drive Thru Coffee and Donuts
      7:00 am – 11:00 am

      St. Peter Lutheran Church of Lester Prairie is having drive thru coffee and donuts on Saturday, Sept 19th from 7a-11a.  The event is held during the LP Garage Sale Day.  Serving Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Lemonade, Water, Donuts and Cookies.  

    2. Elks Gun Show
      8:00 am – 3:00 pm

      It’s the Elks 34th annual Gun Show with Knives and Coins on September 19th and 20th at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.  Admission is $4, Food and Beverages available.  Hours Saturday 8a-5p, and Sunday 9a-3p.  

    3. Harvest Tea
      2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The Ladies of the Brownton Congregational Church is having their annual Harvest Tea on Saturday, Sept. 19th from 2-4pm.  The public is invited, Cost is $5.  

    4. Brenda Sharp Benefit
      4:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      It’s a benefit for Brenda Sharp on Saturday, September 19th from 4-9 pm at the Gaylord American Legion.  Get a grilled burger bar, chips, beans, and bars for $9…children 11 and under are $5.  Also shop the bake sale, silent auction, tshirts, cancer bracelets and more!  Music by Bad Timing.  Proceeds benefit Brenda’s battle with Cancer. 

    5. Parish Festival
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The St. Ignatius Parish of Annandale is having their Parish Festival Sat., Sept. 19 starting with 4 p.m. Mass, followed by a chicken dinner with homemade pie, served inside and outside from 5-7 p.m. Games for all ages, bingo, cake walk, beer garden, bake sale, and a ‘choose your prize’ raffle.

    6. 5K Glow Run
      5:30 pm – 11:45 pm

      Mcleod for Tomorrow is hosting their 5K Glow Run on Saturday, Sept. 19th.  Registration starts at 5:30 pm, Run at 8 pm, then the Glow Party at Main Street Sports Bar from 9p-1a.  Register for $30, or on the day of the race registration fee is $35.  For info contact Christy 320-587-0711

    1. Hector Fly in Breakfast
      7:30 am – 11:30 am

      Hectors annual Fly in Breakfast will be on Sunday, Sept. 20th from 7:30a-12:30p.  All you can eat for a free will donation…Pancakes, Sausages, French Toast, and more!  11:30 am is the Ping Pong Ball Drop for kids 12 and under.  This year featured aircraft is a 1939 Spartan 7W, only 7 left in the world.

    2. Troy Grack Golf Classic
      9:30 am – 10:00 am

      You can take part in the 4th annual Troy Grack golf Classic on Sunday, Sept. 20th at the Glencoe Country Club.  It’s open to the public, registration taken morning of the tournament.  There will be food, bake sale and raffles.  Proceeds benefit Paisley Lindemann’s battle with Leukemia and two scholarship funds. Registrations accepted the morning of the tournament up to 9:30 am, Tournament starts at 10 am.  

    3. St.Matthew’s Fall Festival
      9:45 am – 1:30 pm

      St. Matthew’s of Fernando is having their annual Fall Festival Sunday, Sept. 20th.  Polka Worship starts the day at 9:45 pm, followed by a Hog Roast (for a free will offering).  Unique Fun Auction starts at 1 pm.  Everyone is welcome, Coffee and Bars served at the Auction.

    4. Fall Festival
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Oster Covenant Church of Waverly is having their Fall Harvest Festival on Sunday, Sept. 20th.  Service at 10 am, Meal to follow.  Everyone is welcome, Music by the Wagon Wheelers Band, Potato Bar, Ice Cream, Cake Walk, Crafts, Ladder golf and more.  Free Will Offering will be taken.  

    5. Fall Festival
      11:00 am – 3:00 pm

      St. John’s Catholic Church of Darwin is having their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 20th from 11a-3p.  A roast beef dinner will be served from 11-2, Homemade Pie Served, Cash Raffle, Food Stand, Games, Silent Auction and more!  Event is at the Education Center between Dassel and Cokato on Hwy 12.

    6. Turkey Dinner and Fall Festival
      11:00 am – 1:30 pm

      The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Watertown invites you to their Homestyle Turkey Dinner and Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 20th.    Serving from 11a-1:30p, Adults are $10, Children 12 and under is $6. Other events include: Music, Country Store, Beer Tent, Bingo, Silent Auction, Food, and More!

    7. Country School Reunion
      1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Society is hosting an All Mcleod County Country School Class Reunion on Sunday, Sept. 20th from 1-4 pm.  Serving Hot Dogs, Corn on the Cob, Refreshments, Country School Displays, and showing the new video “Mcleod Country School Memories”.  

    8. Finding Kind
      2:00 pm – 6:30 pm

      Christ the King Lutheran Church of Hutchinson presents a screening of the movie “Finding Kind” on Sunday, Sept. 20th at 2 pm and Monday, Sept. 21st at 6:30 pm.  The movie about bullying and victims of bullying is offered free of charge.  The movie was developed for ladies 11 years of age and older.  

    9. CRAYO Lessons/Open House
      4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

      Crow River Area Youth Orchestra is offering string instrument lessons for ages 6-Adult this fall in Hutchinson. An open house is scheduled for Sunday, September 20 from 4-6pm at Faith Lutheran Church (335 Main Street SW, Hutchinson).
