    1. Hog and Turkey Roast

      The Winsted Sportsmens Club has it’s annual Hog and Turkey Roast at the Blue Note Ballroom of Winsted on Saturday, April 1st from 5-7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.

    1. Omelet Breakfast
      9:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Winthrop Lions Club is hosting a made to order omelet breakfast on Sunday April 2nd from 9-1:00 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Winthrop.  Cost is $7.00, includes toast, fruit, orange juice and milk or coffee.

    2. Spring Brunch
      9:00 am – 12:30 pm

      The Glencoe Lions Club invites you to their Annual “All You Care to Eat” Spring Brunch on Sunday, April 2 nd at the Pla-Mor Ballroom, Glencoe, serving from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. With take-outs available. Menu includes: Pancakes, sausage, ham, eggs, 100% pure maple syrup, fruit, juice, toast, coffee and milk. Advance Adult tickets are $9.00 and are available from Lions Club Members. Prices at the door are Adults – $10.00, Children (age 4 – 10) $5.00, and children age three and under eat FREE. Proceeds will be used toward community projects. Collection boxes will also be available for your used eyeglasses, sunglasses and hearing aids.

      The Plato Lions Club has their Annual Spring Brunch at the Plato Hall on Sunday, April 2nd from 9:30a-12:30p. All you can Eat Pancakes, Sausage, Eggs, and more for a Free Will Donation. Proceeds going to Community Projects.  

    4. Spring Fling Brunch
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The New Auburn Lions Club has their Spring Fling Brunch on Sunday, April 2nd from 10a-1p at the New Auburn City Hall. Serving Eggs with Ham and Cheese, Hashbrowns and more. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children 10 and under, 5 and under free. Proceeds go to community Projects.  

    5. Alaskan Lunch
      10:30 am – 12:30 pm

      Peace Lutheran Church of Hutchinson presents an authentic Alaskan Soup and Bread Lunch on Sunday, April 2nd from 10:30a-12:30p. On the Menu is Moose and Cabbage Soup, Cheesy Vegetable Soup, and more. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 3-10, Free for under 3 years old. Proceeds support the church’s Alaskan Mission Project.  

    6. Mcleod Cty Dairy Banquet
      11:30 am – 3:00 pm

      McLeod County Dairy Associations 64th Spring Banquet and Dairy Princess Coronation is being held on Sunday, April 2  at the Glencoe City Center at 11:30a.m. Appetizers and 12:00p.m. Complete Buffet Dinner catered by Unhinged Pizza followed by the famous Make -Your-Own Sundae Bar.  Princess Coronation and Dairy awards given followed by drawing for door prizes. Dinner Music by Alice Nowak. Tickets Adult Advance $14.00, Adult at Door $17.00, Children ages 5-10 $7.00, Under 5-FREE

    7. West Central MN Mens Chorus
      2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

      West Central MN Men’s Chorus will be performing a concert at 2pm, Sunday, April 2nd at Oak Heights Covenant Church, Hutchinson. The program is open to the public. There will be a free will offering for the Common Cup Ministry.

      The Liquor Hutch is holding a Supply Drive for the Local Animal Shelter. There is a list of items needed at the Liquor Hutch. Drop off donations at the store from now until April 30th.

      The Hector United Methodist Church is having their Soup and Salad Luncheon and Boutique on Wednesday, April 5th starting at 11 am. Adults are $9.

      7:00 am – 7:00 pm

      The Silver Lake Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a Paper Drive on April 7 and 8. Drop off your paper goods on the North Side of the Holy Family Church in SL from 7a-7p. Items accepted include: Newspaper, Magazines, Cardboard, and Junk Mail. Items must be clean and dry. Proceeds go to SL Youth Summer Rec and Swimming Pool.  

    2. Plato City Wide Sales
      8:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Plato has their City Wide Garage Sales on Friday and Saturday, April 7th and 8th starting at 8 am. Many Locations around town, look for the Balloons.

    1. Don’t Worry Be Hoppy 5K
      7:30 am – 11:30 am

      Join the Don’t Worry be Hoppy 5K and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, April 8th at the Waconia Brewing Company. 7:30 am Race Day Registration, 10 am 5K start, Kids Fun Run at 11 am. Runners will receive a free Beer or Root Beer. To register go to soleMOTIONrace.com

      Wayne Luchau and the Big Little Band are performing at the Annual Senior Center Fundraiser on Saturday, April 8th at 7 pm at the Hutchinson Event Center. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Hear music from Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Gene Pitney, Dean Martin and more!

      The Hector Legion is having their Scholarship Brunch on Sunday, April 9th from 8a-1p at the Hector Community Center. Free Will Donation for Pancakes, French Toast, Eggs, and more!

      St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Green Isle is having their Smoked Ham and Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 9th from 8a-1p. Cost is a free will offering, proceeds go to Parking lot repairs at church.

      You are invited to a fundraiser all you can eat Breakfast for the Hutchinson BPA. The event is Sunday, April 9th from 8:30a-12:30p at the Elks Club. Tickets available at the door.  

    4. Kids Easter Party
      9:00 am – 12:30 pm

      Enjoy the annual Kids easter party and Pancake Breakfast at the Stewart Fire Hall on Sunday, April 9th from 9a-12:30pm. Breakfast is all you can eat Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage and more for a free will donation. Free Kids Photos with the Easter Bunny also. Proceeds go to local projects.  

    5. Chicken Dinner
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      The Winsted Catholic Order of Foresters have their Chicken Dinner on Sunday, April 9th from 10:30a-1p. Cost is $11 in advance, $12 at the door, children 6-10 are $5. Serving Chicken. Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Coleslaw and more! Proceeds benefit the HT School Bathroom Renovation.  

    6. International Food Fair
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The International Food Fair will be held at the Maplewood Academy gymnasium on Sunday, April 9 beginning at 5 p.m.  Ethnic foods from Italy, Mexico, Asia, Hawaii and others will be featured.  Plus there will be a variety of games and activities for children and adults.  There is no admission charge. 

    7. Wild Game Feed
      5:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      Members and friends of the Grace Bible Church of Silver Lake will be hosting  a special Wild Game Feed on Sunday, April 9th beginning at 5:00 p.m. (meal at 5:30 pm).  The evening will include such things as: alligator, buffalo, venison, a variety of pheasant dishes (as well as other wild and not so wild game), door prizes, a “Bird Dog Parade”, and guest speakers Barb and Jeff Severson from WI. Barb and Jeff are avid archers and anglers. Cost is a $5 dollar donation per ticket and may be purchased, or reserved by calling the church office (320)327-2352.  The public is invited to attend, and only a limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

    1. Salute to the Army Air Corps

      The Meeker County Historical Society has a Salute to the Army Air Corps on Sunday, April 23rd from 1:30-3:30p. Speaker Ed Cowley will talk about the use and style of planes throughout history. Admission is $2 (Free to Veterans)

      The Brownton American Legion Auxiliary meeting will be Monday, April 10th at 7:30 pm at the Brownton Community Center.

      The Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary has their Spaghetti Supper on Thursday, April 13th from 4-7 pm at the Elks Club.

    2. Firearms Safety Class
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Gopher Campfire is holding their Spring Firearms Safety Class starting on Thursday, April 13th. Class is open to Boys and Girls ages 11 and older, adults also welcome. Cost is $15, half to Gopher Campfire, half to the MN DNR. Class size is limited. To reserve a spot email Brian Schmeling at schmelingoil@gmail.com

    1. Easter Egg Hunt

      The Brownton Womens Club has their Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 15th at 10 am at the Brownton Community Center. Ages Toddler to 3rd Grade are welcome for this Free event. Treat bags and Prizes are given, and you can take photos with the Easter Bunny.
