−April 9 Firearms Safety Training at Cedar Mills Gun Club7:00 pm – 9:30 pm
The Cedar Mills Gun Club, located a half mile north of the junction of State Highways 7 & 22 near Cedar Mills (62841 140th Street), will be offering a three-session firearms safety training course, beginning on Tuesday, April 9th. The class is open to anyone age 12 and older (copy of birth certificate or drivers license needed at registration on first class date) and you must be able to attend all three sessions. Class dates and times are Tuesday, April 9th (7:00 – 9:30 PM), Saturday, April 20th (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and Sunday, April 21st (1:00 PM – ??). $7.50 will be due at the start of the training and another $7.50, payable to the State of Minnesota, will be due after successful completion or the class. Everyone is welcome, and while there is no cost, they would appreciate it if you would contact the church (call 320-587-3312) to let them know how many will be attending. You may also pick up a ticket at Common Cup Ministry’s office (218 Main Street South) in Hutchinson. The free breakfast is served on the second Saturday of each month.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (201 South Street) in Stewart is sponsoring its annual Polka Worship & German Dinner on Sunday, April 22nd. Worship will be at 10:00 AM featuring the Wendinger Band. The dinner will be served from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The menu includes brats, meatballs, German potato salad, scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, sauerkraut and more. The cost is a free will donation with proceeds used to replace windows and two exterior doors.
