      The Silver Lake Legion is serving Potato Pancakes on Sunday, April 23rd from 8a-10:30a. All you can eat for $8, Child $4.

      The New Auburn VFW invites you to their Potato Pancake Dinner on Sunday, April 23rd from 10:30a-1p at the New Auburn Fire Hall. Serving Potato and Buttermilk Pancakes, Pork Sausage, Applesauce and more. All you can eat for $10, Children 6-11 are $5, and under 5 are free.

      There is a Presentation by Rev. Peter Preus author of “And she was a Christian”. When Believers Consider Suicide on Sunday, April 23 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, in Lester Prairie. Questions and Answers. Fellowship. Suitable for midteens and adults.

      The Hector American Legion Auxiliary will be busing tables in Glencoe at Unhinged Pizza on Monday, April 24th from 4-8 pm. All tips and 10% of the sales will go to their organizations for their projects.

    1. HL Bloodmobile
      1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at the Howard Lake St. James School on Tuesday, April 25th from 1-7 pm.  Anyone who is in good health, has not donated for 56 days, weighs 110 pounds or more, 17 years of age or older may donate blood.  For an appointment call 320-543-2444

    2. MN Twins Memories
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Cokato Historical Society presents Minnesota Twins Memories, featuring Clyde Doepner, Team Curator for the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club on Tuesday, April 25, 7:00 p.m. at Cokato City Hall. This program is free and open to the public.  A brief business meeting of the Cokato Historical Society will precede Doepner’s presentation.

      Faith Lutheran Church of Hutchinson holds their Rummage and Plant Sale on April 27th, 28th, and 29th. Hours Thursday 2-8 pm, Friday 8a-6p, and Saturday 8-11 am.

    4. Reading Celebration
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      GSL ECFE and the Glencoe/Brownton Libraries present a reading celebration for the kids reading 1,000 books before Kindergarten on Thursday, April 27th at 5 pm, Glencoe Library. 5:30 pm is entertainment from Will Hale. The Celebration and Entertainment are free and open to the public.

    1. Just Drive 5K
      9:00 am – 11:00 am

      Join the fight against Distracted Driving by participating in the Just Drive Family 5K on Sunday, April 30th, starting at 9 am in Glencoe (Oak Leaf Park). Sign in at 7:30a for the Kids run with start time at 9 a, 5K will follow immediately. Proceeds go to Minnesotans for Safe Driving. More info at justdrive5k.com

    2. Polka Worship and German Dinner

      St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stewart has their Polka Worship and German Dinner on Sunday, April 30. Worship at 10:30a, Dinner from 11:30a-1p. Cost is $10 in advance, $12 at the door, Children 6-11 are $5. On the Menu: German Potato Salad, Scalloped Potatoes, Brats and Meatballs, Glazed Carrots, Sauerkraut and more!

      St. John’s of Winsted is hosting a Grilled Pork Chop Dinner on Sunday, April 30th serving from 11a-1p. Take Outs available. Cost is just a free will donation.  

    4. Historical Society Fundraiser
      2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Society presents their Then and Now Fashion Show on Sunday, April 30th at 2 pm at the Museum in Hutchinson. Tickets are $25 and includes Appetizers and beverage, Tour of the Fashions, and the Show. More info at mcleodhistory.org

    5. Singing Friends Chorus
      2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

      The Singing Friends Chorus presents two concerts this spring:   Sunday, April 30th at 2 pm at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany and Sunday, May 7th at 2 pm at Church of Peace in Norwood.   The concert features a wide variety of choral music, including classic choral works, spirituals and praise songs, folk songs, and 60s favorites. Admission is free will offering at the door, with a reception to follow.

    2. National Day of Prayer in Hutchinson
      12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      “For Your Great NAME’s Sake” is the theme for this year’s 66th National Day of Prayer. Events in Hutchinson will be held on Thursday, May 4. The community prayer locations in Hutchinson will be at Library Square on Main St, noon-1:00pm and Crosspoint Church, 1215 Roberts Rd SW, 7-8pm. Everyone is invited, and there is no cost to attend. In case of rain the noon event will be at Oak Heights Covenant Church. Bring chairs or blankets for outdoor seating. At the evening event at Crosspoint Church childcare will be provided nursery-third grade.

      United Lutheran Church of Lake Lillian has their annual Pork Chop Dinner on Friday, May 5th from 4:30-7p. Cost is $10 for a 1 chop dinner, $13 for two chops.

      The Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary has a Pillow Cleaning on Saturday, May 6th from 7a-1p at the Hutchinson Days Inn.  

    2. Habitat Ground Blessing
      10:00 am – 11:00 am

      The Community is invited to join in celebrating the latest Habitat for Humanity House Construction. The informal ground blessing ceremony begins at 10:00 a.m. On Saturday, May 6 at 429 Grant Ave SE in Hutchinson. Along with local Habitat for Humanity representatives and a Thrivent Financial representative, the family will speak during a short program. This is the 25 th family to partner with Crow River Habitat for Humanity since 1994.

    3. Quilt Show
      10:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Glencoe Historic Preservation Society presents Seasons of Quilts (Quilt show) on Saturday May 6th at First Lutheran Fellowship Center.  There will be more than 130 quilts plus quilted runners including ,vintage quilts from Mcleod County Museum made from the late 1800′s  and other things on display. Diane Alsleben will be giving a presentation from 1-2:00.  The quilt show will be held from 10a-3p. Snacks will be served. Proceeds will go to the Henry Hill Stone project.

    4. Nordic Fest
      11:00 am – 3:00 pm

      You are invited to Nordic Fest at Ness Church of Litchfield on Saturday, May 6th from 11a-3p. Enjoy traditional music, arts, crafts and food, plus a Fiddle Program from Noon-3 pm.  

    5. Salad Luncheon

      St John Lutheran Church of Hollywood has their Salad Luncheon on Saturday, May 6th from 11a-1p. Cost is $8 for adults, Children 5-12 are $3, and under 4 are free.
