Area seniors are invited to play Community Bingo on Sunday, March 10th, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM in the Dining Room at the Ecumen Oaks & Pines (1015 Century Avenue SW) in Hutchinson. The cost is 25 cents per card for each regular game. The last game will be a “cover all” game and will be $1.00 per card, winner takes all. Coffee and snacks will follow the fun! The city of Silver Lake will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with its 26th Annual St. Patrick’s Parade on Saturday, March 16th, beginning at 2:00 PM. In conjunction with the parade, the Silver Lake Lions Club (241 Main Street East) invites you to the famous pork chop feed at the Legion Club. Serving will begin at 12:22 PM. Tickets for the pork chop feed are $7.00 per person and you can purchase an extra chop for just $2.00. Take out orders and carside to go orders will be available.

The specialist will assist seniors and answer questions about Medicare, Supplemental Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, prescription drugs and much more. Hutchinson Community Theatre will present six performances of “Hot Property” by Fred Carmichael. Performances will be April 4th – 6th and April 11th – 13th. All performances will be at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts (15 Franklin Street SW), with doors opening at 6:30 PM and the show beginning at 7:00 PM. All seats are reserved, with tickets priced at $18.00. The Cedar Mills Gun Club, located a half mile north of the junction of State Highways 7 & 22 near Cedar Mills (62841 140th Street), will be offering a three-session firearms safety training course, beginning on Tuesday, April 9th. The class is open to anyone age 12 and older (copy of birth certificate or drivers license needed at registration on first class date) and you must be able to attend all three sessions. Class dates and times are Tuesday, April 9th (7:00 – 9:30 PM), Saturday, April 20th (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and Sunday, April 21st (1:00 PM – ??). $7.50 will be due at the start of the training and another $7.50, payable to the State of Minnesota, will be due after successful completion or the class.
