      The Brownton Congregational Church is hosting their Community Meal the Second Wednesday of Each month (May 9) from 5-7 pm. Cost is just a free Will Donation. Take Outs available.

    1. St A’s Kids Garage Sale
      9:00 am – 7:00 pm

      The annual St. Anastasia Catholic School Kids Garage Sale is Friday May 11th from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM in the St. Anastasia School gym.   Most items are just 25 cents.  We sell kids clothing, toys, games, books, sports equipment and furniture. From 5:00 to 7:00 PM fill a grocery bag for $2.

    2. Hutch Legion Poppies
      3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      On May 11th and 12th Hutchinson Legion Auxiliary Members will be distributing the American Legion Auxiliary Poppy, all proceeds go to help disabled and hospitalized veterans.   Please look for their members at various businesses.

    3. Grand to be Irish Show
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Hutchinson Concert Association presents Cahal Dunne’s Grand to be Irish Show on Friday, May 11th, 7 pm at Cross Point Church of Hutchinson. A limited number of Tickets will be sold at the door for $20. Call 587-5842 for more information.

    1. Fishing Opener Breakfast
      6:30 am – 11:00 am

      The Dassel Rod and Gun Club has a Fishing Opener Breakfast on Saturday, May 12th serving from 6:30 am-11am at Sportsmens Park on Lake Washington. All you can eat French Toast, Eggs, Sausage and more for $9 for adults, and $4 for Children under 12.

    2. Paws on Parade
      9:00 am – 12:30 pm

      The annual Paws on Parade benefit Walk is Saturday, May 12th at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds to benefit the Heart of MN Animal Shelter. Free admission, Walk begins at 10 am, with other attractions open also: Food Contests, Silent Auction, Beans the Clown, Kissing Booth, Bake Sale and more!

    3. Spring Salad Luncheon
      11:30 am – 1:00 pm

      Faith Presbyterian Church of Silver Lake invites you to their Spring Salad Luncheon on Saturday, May 12th at 11:30 am. Serving assorted Salads and desserts for $8/Adults and $4 Children 5-12.

    4. Murder at the Hutch Zoo RESCHEDULED
      5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      It’s Murder at the Hutch Zoo for Mystery Dinner Theatre on Saturday, May 12th at the Hutchinson Event Center. Doors open at 5:30 pm, 6 pm Show. Cost is $35 for this Senior Center Fundraiser. Call 320-234-5656 for Tickets or details.

      McLeod County 4H Horse Drill Team is raising funds for uniforms at Pizza Ranch on Monday May 14th from 4-8pm. Please support by stopping in for dinner.

      The May Regular Unit 96 Meeting and Election of Officers of the Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary will be on May 16th at VFW Post 906 at 7pm with a meal available for purchase at 6pm.

      Christ the King Lutheran Church of Hutchinson has their annual Rummage Sale Thursday-Saturday (May 17-19). Hours Thursday and Friday are 9a-6p, and Saturday 9a-Noon. Proceeds benefit the church, Habitat for Humanity, and the CTK Monthly Community Breakfast.

      Take part in the Bike United ride to benefit the United Way of Mcleod County on Saturday, May 19th at 9 am at Masonic West River Park. To form a team or take part visit UnitedWayMcleodCounty.org

    3. Test Drive for Hutch Schools
      10:00 am – 2:00 pm

      Help raise money for Hutchinson Dollars for Scholars and BPA by test driving a new Ford on Saturday, May 19th from 10a-2p at the Hutch Middle School Parking Lot. Anyone 18 years of age or older can test drive. $20 from each test drive will be donated to the groups. Also serving Hot Dogs Hamburgers, and more for a free will donation.

    4. Motorcycle Show
      1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      May is Motorcycle Awareness Month and the South Central Chapter of ABATE has their Spring Fling Bike Show and Swap Meet on Saturday, May 19th from 1-4 pm at MugShots in Cosmos. Admission is $5, Bike Show from 1-4 pm. Also the Smoke em if you got em Burn Out Contest starts at 2 pm.

    5. Josh Dietz Memorial Baseball Game Benefit
      3:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Brownton Bruins and Glencoe Brewers invite you to the Josh Dietz Memorial Game Benefit on Saturday, May 19th at Barney Tadsen Field in Brownton. Smoked Pork Chop Dinner at 3:30 pm, Baseball Game at 5 pm. There will also be various raffles and baseball bingo. Cost is $10 in advance (includes game admission and Dinner). Proceeds benefit Josh’s kids.

    7. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

      Saturday May 19th at City Hall Parking Lot in Watertown:  6:45 pm ribbon cutting ceremony for the DaVinci’s Wing Sculpture and to celebrate the life and art of Patrick McDonald, followed by music by Sliptwister, featuring Watertown’s own Paul Diethelm, from 7-10 pm. Beer tent by the Watertown Lions Club, Burgers and Brats by Marketplace Foods. $10 admission fee to benefit the Watertown Area Fine Arts Council

      The Friends of the Kimball Library have a Benefit Breakfast, Bake Sale and Silent Auction on Sunday, May 20th from 8a-Noon at the Kimball Legion. Serving Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, and French Toast for $8 for adults, $5 from ages 4-7. Proceeds go to the Kimball Library building Fund.

    2. Dassel FD French Toast Feed
      8:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Dassel Fire Department French Toast Feed is coming up Sunday, May 20th  8am until 1pm at the Dassel Fire Station. Cost is just a Free Will Donation.

    3. Pork Chop Dinner
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      You are invited to a Pork Chop Dinner at St James Lutheran School of Howard Lake on Sunday, May 20th from 11a-1p. On the menu: Pork Chops, Scalloped Potatoes, Corn, Coleslaw and more for a Free Will Offering. Proceeds support the Youth Group attending the National Youth Gathering.

      The Band and Choir students of Lakeside Elementary will be presenting their Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 22 nd , at 7 p.m. in the Lakeside Elementary School Gym in Silver Lake. Please join them for a night filled with a variety of music.

    5. David Fenley Program
      8:00 pm – 9:30 pm

      David Fenley, ADA Director for the MN Council on Disability, will be in Hutchinson on Tuesday, May 22 presenting to business and building owners from Hutchinson and surrounding communities on ADA Accessibility. This programs allows owners to make knowledgeable decisions about changes they may make before construction begins on Main Street in early 2020. David’s presentation will be from 8-9:30 with Q&A following. Along with David, Dr. Brian Bonte, Hutchinson physician and Kyle Dimler, Hutchinson’s City Building Official, will also be available for questions.
