      The New Journey UCC of Hutchinson has their Rummage Sale on April 20 and 21 at the church. Hours Friday from 8a-6p, Saturday 9a-2p.

      The Dassel Rod and Gun Club has their Spring Fish Fry on Friday, April 20th from 11a-7p at Sportsmens Park on Lake Washington. Cost is $12 for adults, $5 for those under 12.

      St Paul’s United Church of Christ in Plato has their Salad Luncheon on Friday, April 20th from 11a-1p. Cost is $10, Take Out orders available.

      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      You’re invited to a Old Fashioned Coffee Klatch and Silent Auction benefit on Saturday, April 21st from 10a-1 at Duran’s Photography of Winsted.100% of the money raised goes to the Starkey Hearing Foundation.

    2. Program of Remembrance
      2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

      You are invited to a program in remebrance of for Lyle Mackedanz, who went missing in action 50 years ago while serving in Vietnam. The event will be at the Mcleod County Vetarans Park in Hutchinson (by Shopko) on Saturday, April 21st at 2 pm. In a special salute a vintage vietnam Huey Helicopter will be flying in and landing at the site.

      The Silver Lake American Legion is serving Potato Pancakes on Sunday, April 22nd from 8a-10:30a. Serving Potato or regular pancakes, Eggs, Ham and More! All you can eat for $8, Children are $4.

    2. Pork Chop Dinner and Concert
      10:00 am – 1:30 pm

      St John’s Lutheran Church of Winsted has their Pork Chop Dinner and Concert on Sunday, April 22nd. Allen and Matt Carlson will play during the 10 am worship service, while Pork Chops are served after the service from 11a-1:30 pm. Cost is a free will donation to the Youth and Leadership Programs.

    3. Spring Fling Brunch
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The New Auburn Lions Spring Fling Brunch is Sunday, April 22nd from 10a-1p at the New Auburn City Hall. Serving Eggs, Hame, Hashbrowns, Muffins and more! Adults $8, Children 10 and under $6, under 5 is free.

      Eat Wings, Raise Funds at Buffalo Wild Wings, Hutchinson for the Ridgewater Nursing Club on Monday, April 23rd from 11am-9pm to help this club!! 

    2. SL City Wide Sales
      3:15 pm – 4:15 pm

      Silver Lake will be having City Wide Garage Sales Thursday, April 26, 8 AM – 5 PM, Friday, April 27 – 8 AM – 5 PM and Saturday, April 28 – 8 AM – Noon. The Silver Lake Womens Club will be having a Bake Sale and BBQ Lunch at 312 Frank Street during the sale times.

      Faith Lutheran Church of Hutchinson has their Rummage & Plant Sale on Thurs., April 26, 2-7 pm – Fri., April 27, 8 am-6 pm (Blue Light Specials in afternoon) – Sat., April 28, 8-11 am (Bag Day, 1st bag $3, 2nd bag free). Selling Furniture, clothing, collectibles, household, toys, linens, man cave, misc. Diner open Thurs. & Fri.

    1. Finger Sandwiches

      The Brownton Congregational Church is serving Finger Sandwiches, Sweets and Desserts on Saturday, April 28th with a short program to follow. Cost is $6 per person.

    2. May Day Fun

      Kids are invited for some May Day Fun at the Litchfield Opera House on Saturday, April 28th from 1-3 pm. Make and Take your own May Basket for $2 per basket.

    3. Singing Friends
      2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      The Singing Friends Chorus, a 35-voice community choir presents two concerts this spring:   Saturday, April 28th at 2 pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glencoe, and Sunday, April 29th at 2 pm at Church of Peace in Norwood.   The spring concert features a broad sampling of choral music, including classic choral works, sacred and gospel music, and folk and pop songs.  Admission is by free will offering at the door, with a reception to follow.

    4. Weege Family Benefit
      2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

      You’re invited to the Weege Family Benefit on Saturday, April 28th from 2-6 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Howard Lake. Serving Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Cowboy Beans, Cole Slaw and more. Adults are $10, Kids 12 and under are $6. Bid on the silent auction as well! Proceeds go to the Weege Family who are recovering from a Christmas Morning Fire.

      St Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stewart holds their annual Polka Worship and German Dinner on Sunday, April 29th. Worship at 10:30 am featuring the Wendinger Band, Dinner from 11:30a-1p. Cost is $12 for adults, Children 6-11 are $5. On the Menu: German Potato Salad, Brats and Meatballs, Glazed Carrots, Sauerkraut and more!

      The Mcleod County Historical Society has a Then and Now Fashion Show on Sunday, April 29th at 2 pm at the Museum. Tickets are $25 and includes Appetizers and Beverage, Tour of Historic Mcleod County Fashions, 2018 Fasions, Door Prizes, and Live Auction. More info at mcleodhistory.org

      The MN Brain Injury Force holds their next meeting on Tuesday, May 1st at Hutchinson Health Hospital Room F at 6 pm. This month’s Topic: Legal Advocate Dalaine Remes talks about protections and advocacy system for people with disabilities in MN.

    1. National Day of Prayer Events in Hutchinson
      6:00 am – 12:00 pm

      Events in Hutchinson for National Day of Prayer will be held on Thursday, May 3rd. Crosspoint Church, located at 1215 Roberts Rd SW, will be hosting an *EarlyRiser Event* at 6:00 am with prayer and acoustic worship. The *Noon Prayer Event* will be held at Library Square on Main Street. Praise songs will be led by Christ the King Lutheran Church. In case of rain the noon event will be at Faith Lutheran, 335 Main Street S. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for outdoor seating. Everyone is invited to these free events. 

    2. Spring Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Spring Salad Luncheon at St Pius X Catholic Church of Glencoe is Thursday, May 3rd from 11a-1p. Join them for a variety of salads and desserts. Cost is $8 in advance, $9 at the door. Delivery available by calling 864-5162.

      The United Lutheran Church of Lake Lillian has their annual Pork Chop Dinner from 4:30-7pm on Friday , May 4th. Cost is $10 for a one chop dinner, $13 for 2 Chop Dinner.

      The Hutch Center for the Arts presents “Always Patsy Cline” on Friday, May 4th and Saturday, May 5th at 7 pm at the Hutchinson Event Center. Tickets available at the Center for $25 for non members, $20 for members.

    4. Smoke Detector Installations
      2:15 pm – 3:15 pm

      On May 5th, The American Red Cross will team up with Brownton, Hutchinson, Silver Lake, and Stewart Fire Departments, volunteers, and partners to Sound the Alarm with home fire safety and smoke alarm installation events around the area.     5. Spaghetti Dinner RESCHEDULED
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Hunters Ridge Community Church has an authentic Italian Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, May 5th starting at 4:30 pm. Serving Spaghetti, Ceasar Salad, Bread and more! Proceeds send kids to Bible Camp.
