    1. BL Lions Fish Fry
      11:30 am – 7:00 pm

      The Buffalo Lake Lions present their Fish Fry on Friday, April 1st from 11:30a-7p at the BL Fire Hall. All you can eat for $10 in advance, $11 at the door, ages 5-12 are $4, and under 5 is free. Don’t forget about the raffle and the business expo during the event. Proceeds used for local projects.

    2. A Night of Comic Relief
      5:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Church of St. Philip in Litchfield presents a night of Comic Relief on Friday, April 1. Happy Hour at 5:30 pm, Dinner at 6:30 pm, and Comedian John DeBoer performs at 8 pm. Tickets available at the church for $30.

    1. Foster Parent Orientation
      9:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Mcleod County Social Services is hosting an orientation for those interested in becoming a foster parent. The Orientation is set for Saturday, April 2nd from 9a-3p at the Mcleod County Solid Waste Management building in Hutchinson. It’s an opportunity to learn more about the program and ask questions to decide if becoming a foster parent is right for you. Call Brenda at 320-864-3144 to register.

    2. Used Book Sale
      10:00 am – 5:00 pm

      The Friends of the Hutchinson Library will be having their indoor used book sale on Saturday, April 2nd from 10a-5p at the Library.

    3. Hog Roast
      5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Winsted Sportsmens Club is holding their annual Hog Roast on Saturday, April 2nd at the Blue Note in Winsted. Serving from 5-8 pm, Tickets are $9 in advance, $10 at the door. Tickets available from club members, Take outs are available.  

    4. Mcleod County Dairy Assocation Spring Banquet
      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      McLeod County Dairy Association Spring Banquet and Dairy Princess Coronation is Saturday April 2nd at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Appetizers at 7p.m. complete buffet dinner 7:30p.m.followed by  MAKE -YOUR-OWN-SUNDAE BAR.Dinner Music by Alice Nowak.  Come and See who will be the 2016-2017 McLeod County Dairy Princesses

    1. New Auburn Spring Fling
      9:30 am – 12:30 pm

      The New Auburn Lions invite you to their Spring Fling Brunch on Sunday, April 3rd from 9:30a-12:30p at the New Auburn City Hall. Serving Scrambled Eggs, Ham and Cheese Hashbrowns, Homemade Muffins and a beverage. Adults are $7, Children ages 6-10 are $4, and 5 and under are free. Proceeds go to Community Projects, and they ask you bring an item to donate to Sibley County FoodShare. 

    2. Benefit Turkey Commercial Dinner
      10:30 am – 1:30 pm

      You are invited to a benefit Turkey Commercial Dinner for Jeremy Thiel on Sunday, April 3rd from 10:30a-1:30p at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. Cost is just a free will donation. Serving a Turkey Commercial, Bars, and drink. Proceeds benefit Jeremy’s fight with esophageal Cancer.

      11:00 am – 8:00 pm

      St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Eden Valley holds their Smelt Fry on Friday, April 8th from 11a-8p. All you can eat for $8, Under age 8 is $5. Serving Smelt and Pollock, Beans, Potato Salad, and more! Homemade Donuts are also for sale at the event.

    1. Spring ECFE Garage Sale
      9:00 am – 12:00 pm

      25th Annual Spring ECFE Garage Sale is at HLWW High School on Saturday, April 9th from 9a-Noon. 20+ spaces of families selling children’s clothes size 0-14, maternity clothes, accessories, books, toys. No admission fee to shop. Kids 5 and under, stop at the Come Fly With Us activity,from 10-11 am in the HLWW High School Gym. Children can make and fly paper airplanes, create their own paper rocket ship, paper hot air balloon, a colorful windsock, and more. Each child will take home a kite! All children MUST be accompanied by a parent or adult.

    2. Habitat Day
      12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The Litchfield Wetland Management District of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) will host “Habitat Day 2016” on Saturday, April 9, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. in Litchfield. The event has a variety of offerings to those of all ages interested in wildlife and habitat of our area. Construct your own wood duck box or bluebird house to place outdoors for the benefit of these species (one per family). There will also be wren houses, robin roosts and bird feeders. Come meet a live bald eagle and other raptors (birds of prey) and learn how their role in the environment is important. The event is free.  

    3. Hardanger Fiddling
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Sons of Norway present Norwegian Hardanger Fiddling will be presented by Bud and Marlys Larsen on Saturday, April 9th at 7pm at CrossPoint Church.  Admission is free and the public is welcome.  Contact Gabra Lokken at 320.234.8979 for more info.

      The Brownton Congregational Church will hold their Community Dinner on Wednesday, April 13th from 5-7 pm with a free will offering. The Dinner is hosted the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

      The next Spaghetti Supper from the Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary will be Thursday, April 14 at the Elk’s Lodge in Hutchinson. Serving from 4-7 pm, Adults are $8, Children under 10 are $3, take outs available.

      Plato is hosting City Wide Garage Sales on April 15th and 16th starting at 8 am. Watch for the balloons.

    2. 500 Card Party

      Everyone is invited to a 500 Card Party on Monday, April 18th at 1:30 PM at the St. Pius X School Cafeteria in Glencoe. There will be a free will offering Dessert Luncheon also.

      The Crow River Singers present a Musical Journey “Great Britian” on Friday, April 15th and Sunday, April 17th. Friday’s show will be at the New Journey UCC of Hutchinson at 7 pm, while Sunday’s Show is at 2 pm at Peace Lutheran Church of Hutchinson. Admission is $7, under 12 is free.

      11 who KARE honoree Lucas Morang is hosting a “So the world may hear” benefit for the Starkey Hearing Foundation. The event is an old fashion coffee klatch with a silent auction on Saturday, April 16th at Duran’s Photography in Winsted. Enjoy a morning of Coffee, Desserts and Fun!

      Mcleod County Social Services are having their We CARE about our Kids day on Saturday, April 16th from 10a-2p at the Hutchinson Mall. There will be ongoing activities and resource booths.

    3. Spaghetti Dinner
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Hunters Ridge Community Church of Hutchinson invites you to their Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, April 16th from 4:30-7p. Featuring Authentic Italian Spaghetti, Fresh Baked Bread, Caesar Salad, and a Cupcake. Tickets are $7 for adults, $4 for kids under 10. Proceeds to to send kids to Bible Camp.

    1. Maple Syrup Breakfast

      MN Pioneer Park of Annandale hosts their Maple Syrup Festival Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 17th from 9a-1p. It’s all you can eat Pancakes, Eggs, Sausage and a Beverage. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for ages 4-12, and 3 and under are free. You can also purchase fresh maple syrup at the event.

      the Mcleod Alliance for Victims of Domestic Violence invite you to their Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 17th at the Hutchinson Elks Lodge from 9a-1p. All the pancakes you can eat for a $7 donation.

    3. Polka Worship and German Dinner
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      You are invited to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stewart for their 15th annual Polka Worship and German Dinner on Sunday, April 17th. Worship is at 10 am featuring the Wendinger Band, Dinner from 11a-1p. Cost is $10 for adults, 6-11 are $5, and 5 and under are free. Serving German Potato Salad, Scalloped Potatoes, Brats, Meatballs, Glazed Carrots, German Sauerkraut and more!

    4. Potato Pancake Dinner
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      The New Auburn VFW presents their Potato Pancake Dinner on Sunday, April 17th from 10:30a-1p at the New Auburn Fire Hall. Adults are $10, Children 6-11 are $5, and under 5 is free. All you can eat Potato and Buttermilk Pancakes, Pork Sausage, Applesauce, Cheese, Bars and a Beverage.

    5. Pork Chop Dinner
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      You’re invited to the PTL Pork Chop Dinner at St. James Lutheran School of Howard Lake on Sunday, April 17th from 11a-1p in the Fellowship Hall of the School. Serving Pork Chops, Scalloped Potatoes, Corn, Coleslaw, Fruit Salad and more. A free will offering will be accepted for the school.  

    6. WOOD you believe
      2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

      The Dassel History Center opens up their new exhibit “WOOD you believe” on Sunday, April 17th at 2 pm with a reception. Wood Carver Fred Cogelow of Willmar will be speaking and unveil a new carving. There is no charge for the reception or exhibit. The exhibit will be open until May 21st.

    1. GHPS Fundraiser
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Glencoe Historic Preservation Society  is sponsoring a verbal antique appraisal on Monday, April 18th from 5-7:00.  They will also be bussing tables and having a bake sale from 4-8: on the same night at Unhinged Pizza. The proceeds will go towards refurbishing the original Henry Hill Stone.
