    1. Caregiver Support Group
      1:30 pm – 3:00 pm

      The next caregiver support group is Tuesday, Oct 21st from 1:30-3 pm at the Renville County Hospital and Clinic Willette Room.  The group is free of charge and will focus on “Caregiving and Depression go hand in hand”.  All are welcome.

    1. Hot Turkey Meal
      4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

      St. John’s Catholic Church of Hector will have a Hot Turkey Sandwich Meal on Wednesday, oct 22nd, serving from 4:30-6:30 pm.  Take Outs available.  Menu includes: Hot Turkey or Cheesy Turkey Sandwiches, Veggies, Bar/Cookie, and beverage.  All are invited.

    1. Glencoe Sausage and Ham Supper
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      The Glencoe Lions Club invites you to their Annual “All You Care to Eat” Sausage/Ham Supperon Thursday, Oct 23 at the Pla-Mor Ballroom, Glencoe, serving from 4:30-7:30p.m. with take-outs available.  Menu includes: Lions original recipe sausage, ham, scalloped potatoes, corn, applesauce, bars, coffee and milk. Advance adult tickets are only $8.00 and are available from Lions Club Members. Prices at the door are Adults – $9.00; Children (age 4 – 10) $4.00, and children age three and under eat FREE. Proceeds will be used toward community projects. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the McLeod Emergency Food Shelf. Collection boxes will also be available for your used eyeglasses, sunglasses and hearing aids.

    1. Cokato Turkey Supper
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Your invited to a turkey supper at the Cokato City Hall on Friday, oct 24th from 4:30-7 pm.  Adults are $9, Children are $5.  

    2. Harvest Fun Night
      6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      The GSL ECFE is having a Harvest Fun Night on Friday, Oct 24th from 6-7:30 pm at their Early Childhood Learning Center.  Enjoy projects, decorate a pumpkin, have a snack, use the sensory table and more during the event.  Participants should bring a flashlight for an outdoor scavenger hunt, and a pumpkin plus a carving tool if you wish to participate in that.  

    3. Halloween Village
      7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      Enjoy a Halloween Village in Winthrop on Friday, Oct 24th and Saturday, Oct 25th from 7-10 pm.  Hosted by the Wills farm (52837 256th St).  Enjoy Scary and Non-Scary items.  Stop by for Photo opportunities, mysterious merchantile, Free Hot Dogs, Face Painting, Monster Park, Spooky Hollow and more.  Free admittance, Canned food items will be collected though for the food shelf.

    1. Watertown Bazaar
      8:00 am – 6:00 pm

      Peace Lutheran Church of Watertown is having their fall bazaar and bake sale Saturday, Oct 25th from 8a-6p.  Rolls and Coffee served for breakfast, Sloppy Joes and Chips for Lunch.  Also for sale is homemade baked goods, canned goods, and lots of crafts.  

    2. Vendor and Craft fair
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      The Fourth annual Vendor and Craft Fair at Sibley East High School will be Saturday, Oct 25th from 9a-2p.  Lunch available and over 30 vendors on hand.  

    3. St. Paul’s Fall Bazaar
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stewart is having their Fall  Bazaar on Saturday, Oct 25th from 10a-1p at the church.  On the Luncheon is Homemade beef soup, hot turkey and BBQ Buns, Pie and Coffee.  Don’t forget to check out the Bake Sale, Produce Sale, Contry Store, Crafts and more!  Matching Funds by Thrivent Financial

    4. Chili and Soup Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Hollywood invites you to their Chili and Soup Luncheon on Saturday, Oct 25th from 11a-1p.  Adults are $7, Children 5-12 are $3, and 4 and under are free.  

    5. Glencoe Lions Bingo
      2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      The Glencoe Lions will be sponsoring Bar Bingo which resumes at the Glencoe  Country Club on Saturday, October 25th at 2 p.m., and will continue every  other Saturday. Everyone age 18 and over is welcome to play for cash prizes.

    2. German Dinner
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      Immanuel Lutheran Church of Brownton invites you to their annual German Dinner on Sunday, oct 26th from 10:30a-1p.  A polka worship service starts things off at 9 am with Chuck Thiel.  On the menu:  Brats, Meatballs, Glazed Carrots, Mashed Potatoes, German Potato Salad, Sauerkraut, and more.  Adults are $11, Children 6-10 are $6, and preschool is free.  Take out orders are available. 

    3. Lutefisk and Meatball Dinner
      12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      Bethel Lutheran Church of Lester Prairie is holding their annual Lutefisk and Meatball Dinner on Sunday, Oct 26th from Noon-5 pm.  Tickets are $16 for adults, Children 12 and under are $8.  On the menu is Lutefisk, Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Coleslaw, Cranberries, and more!

    4. 100th birthday
      1:30 pm – 4:00 pm

      Help celebrate Richard Borchardt turning 100 yards old at the Glencoe Long Term Care Facility.  Join the facility for cake from 1:30-4 pm.  No presents please.

      Four of the GSL High School music groups are having their first concert of the year on Monday, Oct 27th at 7:30 pm at the Glencoe City Center Ballroom.  Free will offering will be taken.

    1. SL Paper Drive
      7:00 am – 7:00 pm

      Silver Lake Knights of Columbus is having a paper drive on Friday and Saturday (Oct 31/Nov 1) from 7a-7p each day.  Drop off on the north side of the Holy Family church.  Items must be clean and dry, items accepted are newspapers, magazines, cardboard, and junk mail.  

    2. Oaks and Pines Trick or Treating
      3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      The Ecumen Oaks and Pines will have indoor Trick or Treating on Friday, Oct 31st from 3-5 pm.

    3. Trunk or Treat
      5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

      Bethlehem United Methodist Church is hosting a Trunk or Treat Event, Friday, Oct 31, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. The church parking lot will be transformed into a fun place with decorated car trunks that are filled with candy.

    4. Brownton Halloween Party
      5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Brownton Lions are having their Halloween Party on Friday, Oct 31st from 5:30-7 pm at the Brownton Community Center.  The Party is for kids in Grades 6 and under, cost is $3 per child or $10 per family.  Proceeds benefit the Mcleod Emergency Food Shelf.  Lunch is served.

    1. Can Collection for Vets
      8:00 am – 9:00 am

      McLeod County Veteran Services and Solid Waste Management are again sponsoring an aluminum can collection Nov 1st – 30th. Proceeds raised, from cans collected, will support the McLeod County Veteran’s Assistance Fund. There are drop off locations in Glencoe, Winsted, and Hutchinson.

    2. St. Andrew’s Fall Bazaar
      8:30 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Andrew’s Catholic Church of Fairfax is having their Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 8:30a-1p.  The event features displays of Bastismals and First Communions.  Rolls, Apple Dumplings and Coffee is served at 8:30 am, Soup and Sandwich Lunch runs from 10:30a-1p.  Also shop the bake sale, Craft Sale, and Country Store.  Everyone is welcome.

    3. Christmas Bazaar
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      The Winsted American Legion is having a Christmas Bazaar and Bake Sale.  Hours Friday, Oct 31st are Noon-5 p and Saturday, Nov. 1st 9a-2p.  

    4. DC Craft Fair
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      DC High School is hosting a Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 9a-2p.  Free admission, 80+ crafters, food served on site.  Proceeds benefit “Dollars for Preschool Scholars”.

    5. Harmony River extravaganza
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      Harmony River of Hutchinson is having their fall extravaganza on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 9a-2p.  No admission charge, lunch available.  Vendors on site with arts, crafts, and baked goods.

    6. Tales from Iwo Jima
      10:00 am – 11:30 am

      The Dassel History Center will present “Tales from Iwo Jima”, a program created by Tim Mergen of Litchfield on Saturday, Nov 1st at 10 am.  The program focuses on the WW2 lives of three veterans, all from Litchfield.  All are welcome.

    7. Turkey Dinner
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      Plumb Krazy is accepting donations for Turkeys again this year.  The Turkey Krew raised enough for 156 Turkesy and 12 boxes of stuffing last year and is looking for more this year.  Cash Donations can be dropped off at Plumb Krazy or mailed to: 66 N High Drive, Hutchinson, MN 55350.  All donations go to the Mcleod Emergency Food Shelf and the DAV Free Will Turkey Dinner.  

    8. Norseland Lutefisk Supper
      11:00 am – 7:00 pm

      Scandian Grove Lutheran Church of Norseland is having their Lutefisk Supper on Saturday, Nov. 1st at the church.  Two serving times…11a-1p and 4p-7p.  Adults are $16, ages 6-12 are $6, and under 5 is free.  On the menu is lutefisk, meatballs and all the trimmings!

    9. Benefit Chili Feed
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      Good Shepherd Free Lutheran Church is hosting a benefit for Joey Berg on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 4-7 pm.  Everyone is invited for a Chili Feed.  Joey is hospitalized and recovering from a fall
