      8:00 am – 12:00 pm

      Silver Lake has their City Wide Garage Sales August 20-22nd.  Thursday and Friday 8a-5p, Saturday 8a-Noon.  The SL Womens Club is also hosting a Bake Sale and BBQ Lunch on all of the days.

    1. Fish Boil Dinner
      11:30 am – 1:00 pm

      The First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Glencoe is hosting their 6th annual Fish Boil Dinner on Sunday, Aug 23rd from 11:30a-1p at the church Fellowship Center.  Free will Donation for Pollock, Tartar Sauce, Potatoes, Coleslaw and more!  Proceeds go to the Orphan Grain Train.

    1. Bus to PKOTMW
      5:15 pm – 6:00 pm

      The McLeod American Dairy Association is sending a bus to the Princess Kay Coronation August 26 at the State Fairgrdounds. The bus will be departing the fairgrounds in Hutch at 5:15, Shopko in Glencoe at 5:45, and St. Peter’s Church parking lot in Lester Prairie at 6:00.  Cost is $5.00.  Sign up sheet in malt wagon at the McLeod county fair or call Kelsey Buss at 320-583-0560.

    1. Ice Cream Social
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The All Saints Lutheran Church of Darwin is holding their Ice Cream Social on Friday, August 28th from 4-7 pm  Adults are $7, Children 10 and under are $5.  

    2. Old Fashioned Tent Revival
      6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      Oak Heights Covenant Church is having their annual Old Fashioned Tent Revival on August 28th, 29th and 30th.  6 pm food served under the tent each night, 7 pm service begins.  Everyone is welcome.  On Friday hear Bluegrass Gospel Music with personal testimonies.  Saturday is Music by the MN Adult and Teen Challenge Choir and a youth bonfire after the  service.  Sunday is Music and Message by the Chancellors, southern gospel singing quartet.  Free admission.

      2:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      Five Star Financial Resources are doing a Blood Drive in honor of Shawn Bollinger (waiting for a lung transplant) on Monday, August 31st from 2-7 pm.  The Bloodmobile will be parked at the corner of Main St and 1st Ave SW in Hutchinson.

    1. Firearms Safety Class
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Gopher Campfire presents their Minnesota Firearms Safety Class starting September 2nd.  The class is for anyone ages 12 and older.  Anyone who hunts in MN must have  passed this class.  Registration is required…to sign up or for questions call 320-587-3153.

    1. Drive for your school fundraiser
      2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

      It’s a drive for your school fundraiser on Thursday, Sept. 3rd from 2-6 pm at the Hutchinson High School Parking Lot.  Test Drive a vehicle from Jay Malone Motors and Ford will donate $20 to HHS for every test drive.  Funds raised benefit Dollars for Scholars and Business Professionals of America.

      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Gethsemane Lutheran Church of Dassel is having their Ice Cream Social on Saturday, Sept. 5th after the Red Rooster Parade.  Cost is a free will offering for BBQ’s, Chips, Pie, Ice Cream and beverage.

      The Sew Friendly Quilt Guild invites you to their Quilt Show at the Dassel Covenant Church on Sunday, September 6th (2-6pm) and Monday, September 7th (9a-5p).  Quilted items are available for purchase, and items from their stashes for sale.

    1. Bras for a Cause
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Hutchinson Breast Cancer Support Group is inviting everyone to take part in the Bras for a Cause event on Tuesday, Sept. 8th from 7-8:30 pm at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts.  Bring your own supplies and decorate a bra to support women with breast cancer.  Then from Sept. 8-Oct. 13 vote for your favorite bras.  Winners will be revealed on Oct 13th during a reception from 7-8:30 pm at the Center.

    2. Gopher Campfire Election
      8:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Gopher Campfire Club is holding their annual Election of Officers on Tuesday, Sept. 8th, 8 pm at their Club Grounds.

    1. Turkey Supper
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      St. John’s Catholic Church of Hector presents their annual Turkey Supper on Wednesday, Sept. 9th from 4-7 pm.  Serving Buffet style or Take outs in the church parish hall.  Adults are $9.50, Children 4-10 are $4.  Serving Turkey, Dressing, Potatoes, Cole Slaw, Corn and more!  

    2. Food For Kidz Packing Event
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      Bethlehem United Methodist Church of Hutchinson is hosting a Food for Kidz Packing event on Wednesday, Sept. 9th from 4:30-7:30 pm.  Anyone from the community is invited to help, a light lunch will be served and free will donations accepted.

      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Brownton Congregational Church will host a community dinner on Wednesday, Sept 9th from 5-7 pm.  Serving Grilled Chicken for a free will offering.

    4. Oktoberfest in September
      6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      It’s Oktoberfest in September…Wednesday, Sept. 9th at the Brownton Community Center.  Food served at 5:30 pm…Brats, Kraut, Hot Dogs, German Potato Salad and more!  Music by George’s Concertina Band from 6-8 pm.

      St. Thomas More Church of Lake Lillian is having their Fall Supper Bake Sale and Raffle on Thursday, September 10th.  Ham Supper served from 5-7 pm, Adults are $8, Children under 12 are $4, and take outs are available.  Everyone is welcome!

    2. TWOH Meeting
      6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      The next meeting for Today’s Women of Hutchinson is Thursday, Sept. 10th starting at 6 pm at Harmony River.  They will have a meet and greet at 6:30 pm for any new members or anyone interested in becoming a member.  Any Questions call Linda 587-0426

      8:00 am – 5:00 pm

      The Heart of MN Animal Shelter is having their Rummage and Book Sale September 11th and 12th at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds Horticulture Building.  Hours are 8a-5p both days.

    2. Blue Mass
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Church of the Holy Family in Silver Lake is having their Blue Mass on Friday, Sept. 11th starting at 7 pm.  This service is to celebrate and honor those who assist us in times of emergencies…EMT’s, Ambulance, Fire and Rescue, Military, Auxiliary, and Police Personnel are invited to attend in uniform.  Refreshments are served following Mass.  Service is hosted by the SL Knights of Columbus.

    1. Outdoors Event
      10:00 am – 2:00 pm

      A special event for those who love the outdoors will be held at the Gopher Campfire Club on Saturday, Sept 12th from 10 am to 2 pm.  The event is an outreach of The Christian Deer Hunters Association and includes an Annie Oakley Shoot competition with shotgun, a Pistol range, as well as an archery range. Cost for the day which includes door prizes, guest speaker,  and lunch is only $10 ($15 day of the event) age 17 and under free with an adult.  For more information contact Mike Graham (320)552-1735

    2. Antique Iron Run
      11:00 am – 11:30 am

      The annual Antique Iron Run will be Saturday, Sept. 12th leaving at 11 am at Kickers Bar and Grill of Litchfield.  No registration, No fee…just a fun run!  1983 or older Motorcylces are welcome.

    3. Equul Access Open House
      1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      Equul Access is hosting their Open House Fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 1-4 pm at their facility on Pheasant Road, South of Hutchinson.  Open House hours are 1-4 pm, food available, free will donations, get your photo taken with “Amanda” 2015 PATH Intl Region 6 Horse of the Year, Monarch Butterfly Relase, Silent Auction, Crafts for Kids, Games, and more!  Proceeds benefit Challenged Youth with Horse and Riding Therapies.  

    4. Banquet
      3:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Central MN Sportsman Alliance and the Conservation Partners of America are having their 4th annual banquet on Saturday, Sept. 12th at the Brownton Community Center.  Games and Social Hour start at 3:30 pm, Dinner at 6 pm.  Ticket Prices vary, for details or to purchase contact Wendy or Scott (320-282-3912 or 320-223-1858)

    5. St. A’s Fall Festival
      4:30 pm – 4:00 pm

      St. Anastasia is hosting their Fall Festival on September 12th and 13th.  On Saturday is a 4:30 pm Mass, followed by an outdoor social…live music, book sale, country store, baked good sale and more!.  On Sunday is a 10:30 am Polka Mass, Chicken Dinner from 11a-2p, and the festival from 11a-4p.  Food and Entertainment, Games, Train Ride, Progressive Auction, Book Sale, Country store and more!

    6. The Last Kings of Norse America
      5:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Sons of Norway, Hutchinson invite you to attend THE LAST KINGS OF NORSE AMERICA, presented by authors, Dr. Robert Johnson and his daughter Janey Westin.       7:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The Rainbow Sportsmen Club, north of Cokato has their Fall Shoot and Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, Sept. 13th, serving from 7a-Noon.  Meat Shoot at 10 am, Running Deer and 22 gallery shoot also.  

    2. Finger Prints of God
      9:30 am – 11:00 am

      On Sunday, September 13th at 9:30 am Grace Bible Church of Silver Lake will be holding a special Rally Day Service with Guest speaker Caara Holmstrom of Paul Bunyan’s Animal Land near Bemidji, MN. Caara will be presenting her program “Finger Prints of God” and will be bringing Bindi the Kangaroo, Hedgehogs, a rare parrot, and other creatures. Caara is an educator, as well as the owner of Paul Bunyan’s Animal Land. This is a great opportunity to get up close and learn about some unique members of creation. The public is invited to attend.  

    3. Steeple Fest
      9:30 am – 1:30 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Winthrop is having their Steeple Fest on Sunday, Sept 13th.  The event starts with a Polka Worship at 9:30 am, All you can eat Ham and Meatball Dinner from 11a-1:30p.  Cost for the meal is $10 for adults, $5 for children 4-10, under 3 eat free.  Also take part in the raffle, Silent Auction, Bake and Garden Sale and the Pie and Ice Cream social.
