    1. Glencoe Living Nativity Rescheduled
      5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      Visit a Living Nativity at Oak Leaf Park on Friday evening, Dec 23.  This is a drive-through production featuring six scenes depicting Jesus’ birth.  Live animals, crafted scenery, biblical characters, and music will provide a memorable Christmas experience for the entire family.  Enter Oak Leaf Park from south road and turn left at Vollmer Field.  Admission is free, however, feel free to bring a food or monetary donation for the Mcleod Emergency Food Shelf.

    1. Pork Chop Dinner
      11:00 am – 3:00 pm

      The Plato Lions are having a Pork Chop Dinner New Years Day at the King Pin Pub. $10 is the cost for 2 Pork Chops, Potatoes, Green Beans, Roll and Dessert…OR $4 for a Kids Meal of Mac and Cheese, Hot Dog and Cookie. Serving from 11am until gone, music at 2 pm with Doug Studemann.

    1. TOMF accepting applications
      1:15 pm – 2:15 pm

      The Tim Orth Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization designed to help children who need assistance in paying for their medical treatment. On Saturday, April 1, 2017, the Foundation will stage its 19 h Annual Benefit to raise funds for children with medical needs. Applications for the fund-raiser will be accepted until January 2, 2017. Persons in the area who know of a child with medical needs can obtain an application by calling Ralph Johnson at 320-587- 6733 or Don Tangen at 320-864-6010.

      You’re invited to the Hamburg Community Hall on Sunday, Jan 15th for the Hamburg Lions Pancake Brunch. Serving 8:30a-12:30p, Adults are $8, Children 5-10 are $4.  

    3. Mike Tesch Benefit
      12:00 pm – 6:00 pm

      You are invited to a benefit for Mike Tesch on Sunday, Jan 15th from Noon-6pm at the Blue Note Ballroom in Winsted. Enjoy live music from Butch Automatic and the 4 speeds, Prairie Rose Band, Silver Rose Band, The Basement Band, The FabulousBingo’s Orchestra, and Squad Car Denny and the TomKatz. Also there is Food, Raffles, Prizes, Live and Silent Auction. Proceeds benefit Mike Tesch who’s battling Cancer.

      The Hutchinson Ministerial Association invites you to participate in the annual Community Worship and Prayer Service on Martin Luther King Jr Day, Jan 16, Monday evening from 6:30 to 8pm at Oak Heights Covenant Church. This event is provided by our pastors to build unity between our area churches. Worship will be led by a team of area worship leaders gathered by Pastor Adam Krumrie of CrossPoint Church. While there is no cost to attend, a free-will offering will be taken to support the ministry of Common Cup. For more information call the church office at 320-587-8483.

      The Silver Lake Legion is serving their Potato Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, January 22nd from 8a-10:30a. Serving Regular or Potato Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Ham, Sausage and More. All you can eat for $8, $4 for a Child.

      St. Pius X School in Glencoe has their Turkey and Ham Dinner on Sunday, Jan 29th from 11a-1p. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for Children, and 2 and under free.  

    3. St. Anastasia’s Open House
      11:30 am – 12:30 pm

      St. Anastasia School of Hutchinson is having their Open House for Catholic Schools Week on Sunday, January 29th from 11:30a-12:30p. There will be tours of the school, and teachers available to answer questions.

      The Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Church is having their annual Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, February 3rd from 5-7 pm. Serving Pasta Bar with Spaghetti or Alfredo Sauce, Salad, Garlic Bread, and Sundae. Proceeds benefit the church building fund.

      The Brownton Rod and Gun Club’s Ice Fishing Contest is coming up Saturday, Feb 4th from 1-3pm on the South Side of Lake Marion. Cash Prizes for Fish, Raffles available also.  

    2. Dueces Wild
      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The GSL Panther Assn presents Dueces Wild, a Dueling pianos act at the Glencoe City Center on Saturday, Feb 4th at 7:30 pm. Advance Tickets are available at the Glencoe City Offices, Glencoe Wine and Spirits, or at the door.

      The First Evangelical Lutheran Church Mens Club is holding their annual Potato Pancake and Sausage Dinner on Sunday, February 5th from 9a-3p. All you can eat for $10, Kids ages 4-12 are $5. Take outs available.  

    2. Anderson Benefit
      11:00 am – 3:00 pm

      You’re invited to a benefit for Tony Anderson on Sunday, Feb. 5th from 11a-3p at the Atwater Community Center. There will be a free will donation for the meal, also you can shop the bake sale and silent auction. Proceeds benefit Tony who’s battling Wegner Vasculitis and received a kidney transplant.  

    3. Sleepy Eye Fishing Derby

      The Sleepy Eye Sportsmen’s Club is holding their annual Fishing Derby on Sunday, Feb 5th from Noon-3 pm on Sleepy Eye Lake. Entry fee is $5, Cash Prizes are awarded, also take part in the raffles.
