    1. Whitcomb benefit
      3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      You are invited to a benefit for Sue Whitcomb on Saturday, April 26th at the Atwater Community Center from 3-7 pm.  Enjoy Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, Silent Auction, and a live auction .  Cost is a free will donation for the meal.  Funds raised will help with Sue’s medial needs as she fights Pancreatic and Liver Cancer.

    1. Our Saviors Auction
      9:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Our Savior Lutheran Schools annual Auction is coming up on Sunday, April 27th at the Church in Hutchinson.  The Bake Sale runs from 9 am until gone, Lunch served from 11 am -12:30 pm (Free Will donation for lunch), Silent Auction from 9 am – 1 pm, and Live Auction starting at 12:30 pm.  

    2. Pancake Breakfast in Annandale
      9:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Minnesota Pioneer Park in Annandale is hosting their 37th annual Maple Syrup Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 27th.  Serving from 9a-1p at the Park.  The meal includes Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Homemade Doughnuts, and Beverage.  Adults are $8, Child 4-12 is $4, under 4 is free.

    3. Stewart Polka Worship and German Dinner
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stewart is having their Polka Worship and German Dinner on Sunday, April 27th.  Worship is at 10 am featuring the Wendinger Band, Dinner is from 11 am – 1 pm.  On the menu: German Potato Salad, Scalloped Potatoes, Brats and Meatballs, Glazed Carrots, Sauerkraut, Bread , Bars, and Beverage.  Cost is just a free will donation.  

    4. St. John’s Pork Chop Dinner
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. John’s of Winsted is having their Pork Chop Dinner on Sunday, April 27th from 11a-1p at the church.  Worship with Music from Chuck Thiel and the Jolly Ramblers starts at 10 am, Free Will Donation Meal starts at 11 am.  On the menu is Pork Chops, Hot Dogs, Cheesy Potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, Bread, Dessert and Beverage.  Take Outs available behind the church.  

    5. Author Program
      2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      Heart of Hutch is hosting an author program for their Community Book Read on Sunday, April 27th from 2-4 pm at the Hutchinson Event Center.  The book chosen for the Community Book Read is “Orphan Train”, author Christina Baker Kline will speak during the program.  The event is free and open to the public.

    1. Howard Lake Bloodmobile
      1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Howard Lake at the St.James Lutheran School from 1-7 pm.  You must be 17 years of age or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health to donate.

    2. Mcleod County Legion Meeting
      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      A meeting of The McLeod County Council of the American Legion and Auxiliary will be held on Tuesday, May 29th at 7:30 PM at the Hutchinson American Legion, Post 96.

    1. National Day of Prayer
      8:00 am – 7:00 pm

      Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson welcomes anyone to their church for national day of prayer on May 1st.  The sanctuary will be open from 8 am – 7 pm and set up for prayer and bible reading.

    2. St. Pius X Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Pius X  in Glencoe is hosting their Salad Luncheon on Thursday, May 1st from 11a-1p.  Advance tickets are $7, $8 at the door, Children under 12 are free.  Express Take Outs available.

      The Glencoe VFW Auxiliary is sponsoring a Pillow Cleaning on Friday, May 2nd from 7a-3p at the VFW Club in Glencoe.  Clean, Deoderize, Santize, and Fluff your pillows!.  

    2. Breast Cancer Benefit Sale
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Mark your caledars for this vendor sale benefitting the Breast Cancer 3 day, for Susan G Komen for a Cure.  The sale will be May 2nd and 3rd at Gert and Erma’s Coffee Shop in Glencoe.  Friday hours are 4-8 pm, and Saturday hours are 9a-3p.  There will be generous hosts from Chloe + Isabel, Mary Kay, kikaPaprika, Tastefully Simple,Tupperware, Dove Chocolate Discoveries, The Pampered Chef, Norwex, dōTerra, Miche, PartyLite, Clever Container & Ms. Teria’s.

    3. Raise a glass, Raise a roof Fundraiser
      6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The next raise a glass, raise a roof fundraiser for Crow River Habitat for Humanity will be Friday, May 2nd at the Crow River Golf Club in Hutchinson.  Doors open at 6 pm, featuring a wine and beer pull, silent and live auctions.  Tickets are $40 and available at the Habitat Office.  

    4. Family Gospel Concert
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The DC Performing Arts Center presents an evening of family bluegrass and gospel on Friday, May 2nd at 7 pm.  Admission is a free will donation to hear: The Froemming Family, The Jorgenson Family, The Berge Family, The Mahlstedt Family, The Ophoven Family, along with Allan and Michael Carlson.

      7:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Carlson’s Pillow Cleaning Service will be at the Hutchinson American Legion on Saturday, May 3rd from 7a-3p.  On the Spot cleaning.  Drop off can be on Friday May 2nd from 6-8 pm.

      8:00 am – 2:00 pm

      You are invited to the 2nd Annual Stop & Shop, Sat. May 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Norwood Sport Complex sponsored by the NYA West Carver Lions. On sale are Household items, Annuals & Perennials ( no clothes). Lunch will be served.

    3. St. John’s Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Hollywood is having their Salad Luncheon on Saturday, May 3rd from 11a-1p.  Adults are $7, Children 5-12 are $3, under 4 is free.  

    4. Bentz benefit
      3:00 pm – 11:00 pm

      You are invited to a benefit for Jody Bentz, Saturday, May 3rd from 3-11pm at the Blue Note of Winsted.  Serving a spaghetti dinner from 4-6 pm, plus enjoy Music, bid at the silent auction, and shop at the bake sale.  Live music from7-11 pm.  Admission is $10 for Ages 13 and up, $5 for 6-12 years old, and under 5 is free.  Proceeds benefit Jody, who’s battling Stage 3 Breast Cancer.  

    5. Darwin Beer and Wine tasting
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Darwin Liquor Store is having their 2nd annual Beer and Wine Tasting on Saturday, May 3rd from 4-7 pm at the Darwin Rod and Gun Club.  The event is a fundraiser, with proceeds going to the Darwin Twine Ball Committee.  Advance Tickets are $20, $25 on the day of the event.  You’ll sample 9 different vendors, plus light appetizers are served, door prizes given out and a raffle and silent auction.  

    6. Growing with Love Fundraiser
      6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The annual Growing with Love Gala Fundraiser on Saturday, May 3rd at 6:30 pm, held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.  Enjoy a dinner, silent auction, and entertainment.  Tickets are $35 and are available at Partner churches of Love INC or by calling their Heartland office at 763-972-6547

    1. Walk MS Hutchinson
      10:00 am – 11:30 am

      Walk MS Hutchinson will be Sunday, May 4th at West Masonic River Park.  You can walk a 1 or 4 mile route. Registration is from 10-11 am, Walk follows.  You can Register online at myMSwalk.org and start fundraising today.  

    2. New Auburn Potato Pancake Dinner
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      The New Auburn VFW is hosting their Potato Pancake Dinner on Sunday, May 4th, serving all you can eat from 10:30a-1p at the New Auburn Fire Hall.  On the menu is Potato and Buttermilk Pancakes, Pork Sausage, and more!  Adults are $9, Children 4-11 are $4, and 5 and under are free.  

    3. Hamburg Pork Chop Dinner
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church  of Hamburg is holding their Pork Chop Dinner on Sunday, May 4th from 11a-1p.  Cost is $10 per adults, or $5 for a children’s hot dog meal.  Take outs available.

    4. Brownton Bike a thon
      1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The Brownton Womens Club is hosting their Bike A thon on Sunday, May 4th.  The event is for all K-6th grade children, along with their family and friends.  If you wish to participate pick up a pledge form at the Brownton city Office  or Security Bank and Trust.  Then collect pledge donations and show up at the Lions Shelter in the Brownton City Park.  The Bike a thon goes from 1-4 pm, lunch served and prizes are given out.  Proceeds from the event are used for projects and events in Brownton.

    1. Cosmos Smelt Fry
      12:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Cosmos Legion is having their annual Smelt and Fish Fry on Monday, May 5th from Noon until gone.  All you can eat for $12.  On the menu: Smelt, Pollack, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, French Fries, Bread and Beverage.

    2. HCA Concert
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Hutchinson Concert Assocation is presenting Mack Bailey in concert on Monday, May 5th at 7 pm at the Hutchinson High School Auditorium.  Tickets are $20 and available at the door.  Plus it is the Spring Membership Drive for the HCA.  Questions call Cyndi at 234-6762.

      7:30 am – 3:30 pm

      The Lester Prairie American Legion Auxiliary is sponsoring a pillow cleaning on Thursday, May 8th from 7:30a-3:30p at the LP City Hall.  Have your pillow cleaned, deodorized, sanitized, and fluffed with on the spot cleaning and returned the same day.  You can drop off your pillows Wed, May 7th from 6-8pm.  

    2. Hutchinson Elks Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Hutchinson Elks are having their Salad Luncheon Thursday, May 8th from 11a-1p at the Elks Lodge.  Cost is $7.  

    3. GSL 2nd grade Musical and Arts Program
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The 2nd Grade Students of Helen Baker Elementary (GSL) will be presenting their Spring Concert on Thursday, May 8th in the GSL HS Auditorium at 7 pm.  The Concert, “Move to the Music,” will showcase their singing, dancing, and instrument playing.  In conjunction with the Concert, the GSL PreK-12 Panther Arts Prowl will run as an open house from 5:00 – 8:15 p.m. in the GSL High School cafeteria and gym. There will be projects displayed in the gym, presentations and/or displays in the cafeteria and concessions will be available.

      The Hutchinson Center for the Arts presents their annual fundraiser “A night for the Arts” on Friday, May 9th at the Crow River Golf Club.  Doors open at 6:30 pm.  Tickets available by contacting Cindy at the HCA at 587-7278.
