    1. St. John’s Rummage Sale
      8:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Hollywood is having their Rummage Sale on Thursday-Saturday(Sept. 25-27) at their church along Highway 7.  Hours Thursday and Friday are 8a-6p and Saturday 8a-1p.  Saturday is also fill a bag day for $5.  Food is served.  Proceeds go to the Handicap Fund. 

    2. Dorcas Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Dorcas Salad Luncheon is coming up Thursday, Sept. 25th from 11a-1p at the Peace Center in Hutchinson.  Serving Hot Chicken Salad, German Potato Salad, Fruit, Veggies, Deviled Eggs and other Salads.  Cost is $8.

    1. Fairfax City Wide
      8:00 am – 12:00 pm

      Fairfax is having their city wide garage sales Friday and Saturday (Sept. 26/27).  Many sales throughout town and country.  

    2. Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      First Lutheran Church LWML in Glencoe is having their annual salad luncheon on Friday, Sept. 26th from 11a-1p.  Adults are $8, Children 4-11 are $4, and under 4 is free.  Everyone is invited.

    1. Benefit Auction
      10:00 am – 11:00 am

      There is a Benefit Auction for the Dassel Cokato Regional Ice and Sport Center on Sat. Sept 27th in Cokato at the Lundeen Auction lot . Starting at 10 am with Sporting goods, new sauna, tools, small equipment, food. and more.

    2. Womens Retreat
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Peace Lutheran Church Womens Retreat is Saturday, Sept. 27th starting at 10 am.  The retreat features the Church Basement Ladies.  Cost is $15 per person (includes lunch).  Tickets are available at the church office.

    1. Linda Portele Miller Benefit
      9:00 am – 1:00 pm

      You’re invited to a benefit for Linda Portele Miller on Sunday, Sept. 28th from 9a-1p at the Hutchinson High School Cafeteria.  A pancake breakfast served by the Lions will run for a free will donation.  A silent auction and raffle will also be included in the benefit.  Proceeds benefit Linda as she battles pulmonary issues and congestive heart failure. Donations can also be sent to Wells Fargo of Hutch.

    2. New Auburn Roast Beef Dinner
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The New Auburn Lions are having their Roast Beef Dinner on Sunday, Sept. 28th from 10a-1p at the City Hall.  Serving Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes, Cole Slaw and More!  Cost is $10 for adults, $6 for children 6-10, and 5 and under free.  Plus take part in the raffle for a John Deere quilt.  Proceeds raised go to local projects.  

    3. St. Boniface Fall Festival
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Boniface church of Stewart is hosting their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 28th from 10:30a-1p.  Mass starts the festivities at 9:15 am featuring the BASICS.  Pork Loin meal served starting at 10:30 am.  Cost is $9, extra loin is $2, Ages 4-10 are $5, and 3 and under are free.  Take outs available.  Also in the festival is a raffle, silent auction, kids games, music, dollar table, country store and more!  

    4. Free Movie “Disruption”
      1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

      You are invited to see the movie “Disruption” at First Congregational UCC in Hutchinson on Sunday, Sept 28th starting at 1 pm.  After the movie a brief discussion will occur for those interested.

    1. Basket Social Fundraiser
      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Society is having their Basket Social Fundraiser on Monday, Sept. 29th from 7-9 pm at the Crow River Winery.  Cost is $25 per ticket and that includes Music by 10th Street Jazz, Wine Tasting, Appetizers, Tour of the Winery, Silent Auction and more.  More info can be found at mcleodhistory.org, or you can call for tickets 320-587-2109

    1. Bethel Lutheran Church Paper Drive
      7:00 am – 7:00 pm

      The Bethel Lutheran Church of Lester Prairie is holding a Paper Drive from Oct 1-Oct 16th.  Drop off your paper at the church parking lot from 8a-7p.  You can donate Newspapers, Magazines, Catalogs, Phone Books, Cardboard, any thing else paper.  No strings, rope, or plastic bags around the paper.

    1. Fall Festival
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      Join the United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian for is Fall Festival on Thursday, Oct 2nd.  Meatball Supper served from 5-7 pm.  Cost is $9 for adults, $3 for ages 6-12, and under 5 is free.  Also shop the Bake, Craft, and Produce Sale from 4-7 pm.  

    2. Today’s women of hutch

      Today’s Women of Hutch will meet Thursday, Oct. 2nd at 7 pm at the Hutchinson Library

    1. Kimball Fish Fry
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Kimball Lions are having a Fish Fry on Friday, Oct 3rd from 4-8 pm at the Willow Creek shelter in Kimball.  All you can eat.  Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for 12 and younger, plus 3 and under eat free.  

    2. Scarecrow Make and Take event
      6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      The GSL ECFE is having a Make and Take Scarecrow event on Friday, Oct 3rd from 6:30-7:30 pm at their Early Childhood Learning Center.  Just bring an old pair of pantyhose and a bleach bottle for the scarecrow and they will provide the rest.  Class is free, but donations to the food shelf will be accepted.

    1. Holy Trinity Bazaar
      8:30 am – 1:30 pm

      The Holy Trinity Council of Catholic Women in Winsted will host a Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Oct 4th from 8:30a-1:30p.  Everyone is invited to the Craft and Gift Sale.  On the sale is crafts, produce, baked goods, plants, grab bags, and a silent auction.  Breakfast is served at 8:30 am with Rolls, Egg Bake, and more.  Lunch is from 10:30a-1p with Chili, Chili Dogs, Hot Dogs, Pie, Ice Cream and more!  Guatemalan coffee and the Holy Trinity Cookbook will be for sale as well.  

    2. Six Appeal in Concert
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Hutchinson Concert Association presents Six Appeal in Concert on Saturday, Oct 4th at 7 pm at the Hutchinson High School Auditorium.  Tickets are $20 and available at the door.  For Season memberships you can call Cyndi at 234-6762.

    1. Glencoe Brunch
      8:30 am – 1:00 pm

      Glencoe American Legion Post 95 is sponsoring a brunch on Sunday, Oct. 5, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Glencoe City Center.  Tickets are $7.00 ahead of time and $8.00 at the door.  Children 12 and under are $5.00   On the Menu is Pancakes, ham, scrambled eggs, applesauce, juice, milk and coffee.

    2. Bazaar
      10:00 am – 2:00 pm

      The Church of the Holy Family in Silver Lake is having their annual bazaar on Sunday, Oct. 5th at the church.  Mass starts the day at 10 am, plus a Chicken and Ham Dinner will be served from 11a-2p.  Cost for adults is $10, children ages 4-10 are $5, and 3 and under are free.  Also in the Bazaar is Games, Country Store, Craft sales, Baked Good Sales, and much more!

    3. Fall BBQ
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      You are invited to the LWML Fall Barbecue at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hamburg on Oct 5th from 10 am to 1 pm  Menu consists of:  BBQ’s or hot dog, potato salad, baked beans, chips, pickles, dessert and beverage.  The cost for the dinner is $7 for adults, $4 for ages 5 – 10 and children under the age of 4 are free.  Takeouts available.

    4. Windsor Pork Chop Dinner
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Mountville (Gaylord) is having their Fall Harvest Windsor Pork Chop Dinner, Country Store, and Usborne books fundraiser on Sunday, Oct 5th from 11a-1p at the Gaylord American Legion.  Cost for the meal is $11 for adults, $6 for children 5-10, and under 4 free. Tickets available at the door.  Proceeds go to the improvement of the church basement.

      The Next Senior Dance at the Cosmos Legion is Wednesday, Oct 8th from 1:30-4:30 pm.  Music by Marie and the Boys.

    2. Turkey Dinner at Vineyard
      4:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      The Vineyard United Methodist Church is having their Annual Turkey Dinner on Wednesday, Oct 8th from 4-7:30 pm.  Tickets are $10 for adults, and $6 for ages 4-10, Under 4 is free.  Delivery or take out is available (587-2200 for delivery).  Don’t forget to shop the Country Store from Noon-7 pm.

      Dassel Fire and Rescue is having their Pork Chop Supper on Friday, Oct 10th  at the Fire Hall from 5-8 pm.  Cost is $7 for 11 years and older, $5 for ages 5-10, and under 5 is free…extra chop is $2.

      Sons of Norway Hutchinson will host guest speaker, LaVern Christianson, who will present The Last Viking King on Saturday, Oct 11th from 5:30p-7p at Faith Lutheran Church of Hutchinson.

      8:30 am – 12:00 pm

      The Silver Lake Lions are holding their Fall Brunch on Sunday, Oct 12th from 8:30a-Noon at the Silver Lake Auditorium.  On the menu is Eggs, Pancakes, Sausage, Fruit and More!  Adults are $6.50, Under 12 is $3, and they encourage you to bring an item for the Food Shelf.  

    2. Plato Lions Chili Luncheon
      10:00 am – 1:30 pm

      The Plato Lions are having their Chili Luncheon on Sunday, Oct 12th from 10a-1:30 pm at the Plato City Hall.  All you can eat Chili, Garlic Bread, Beverage and Bars.  Hot Dogs available for the kids.

    3. Spuds and Splits
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. James Lutheran Church invites you to a Spuds and Splits Meal on Sunday, Oct 12th at their fellowship hall in Howard Lake.  They will be serving Baked Potatoes with your choice of fixings and bowls of Ice Cream Splits from 11a-1p for just $8, childrens meals are $5.  You can also shop the craft and bake sale during the event.

    1. Glencoe Historic Preservation Society Fundraiser
      4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

      The Glencoe Historic Preservation Society will be Busing Tables at Unhinged Pizza on Monday, October 13 from 4-6pm.  Plus they are also having a BAKE SALE at the same time.  Proceeds will go to finish the Kitchen on the Glencoe Historic Room at the City Center.
