    1. Legion Auxiliary Meeting
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      Hutchinson Unit 96 of the American Legion Auxiliary will meet on Wednesday, Oct 21st at 7 pm at the Hutchinson VFW.

    1. All you can eat Sausage and Ham Supper
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      The Glencoe Lions Club invites you to their Annual “All You Care to Eat” Sausage/Ham Supper on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Pla-Mor Ballroom, Glencoe, serving from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with take-outs available.  Menu includes: Sausage, ham, scalloped potatoes, corn, applesauce, bars, coffee and milk.  Advance adult tickets are only $8.00 and are available from Lions Club Members.  Prices at the door are Adults – $9.00;  Children (age 4 – 10) $4.00, and children age three and under eat FREE.  Proceeds will be used toward community projects.  Please bring a non-perishable food item for the McLeod Emergency Food Shelf. Collection boxes will also be available for your used eyeglasses, sunglasses and hearing aids.

    1. Paper Drive
      10:15 am – 11:15 am

      The Silver Lake Knights of Columbus are having a Paper Drive on Oct 23rd and 24th.  Drop off your paper items on the north side of Holy Family Church in SL.  Items accepted include: Newspapers, magazines, cardboard, and junk mail (items must be clean and dry).  Program benefits: SL Ambulance, Fire Department, and Winterfest.  

    2. Soup and Sandwich Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Church of Peace in NYA is hosting their Soup and Sandwich Lunch on Friday, Oct 23rd from 11a-1p.  Cost is a free will offering.  

    3. Turkey Supper
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Cokato Legion is having their Turkey Supper on Friday, Oct 23rd from 4:30-7 pm at the Cokato City Hall.  Adults are $9, Children are $5.  

    4. SL Turtle Soup Feed
      7:00 pm – 9:30 pm

      The Silver Lake Sportmens Club is holding their annual Turtle Soup Feed, Friday, Oct. 23rd at the Silver Lake Auditorium.  Doors open at 7 pm, Soup Served at 8:30 pm…Bean Bag Tournament at 8 pm.  There is also door prizes, meat raffle, and a silent auction.  All are welcome!

    1. Craft/Vendor Fair
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      Ss. Michael, Mary, and Brendan Church is having their Firth annual Vendor and Craft Fair on Saturday, Oct 24th from 9a-2p at Sibley East High School in Arlington.  Lunch available and 40+ vendors will be on hand.

    2. Fall Bazaar
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stewart has their Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Oct 24th from 10a-1p.  Serving Homemade Beef Soup, Hot Turkey or BBQ Buns, and more for Lunch, Quilts for Sale, Bake Sale, Country Store, Crafters and more are all a part of the event.

    3. Fall Salad Luncheon
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      The women of Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake would like to invite area ladies to their annual Fall Salad Luncheon on Saturday, October 24th, at 10:30 am.  The event is free and will include a variety of delicious salads, and a talk by Grace Rakow titled “In The Footsteps of Christ”.  Grace spent the summer of 2014 teaching in Israel and will be sharing some of her experiences. Grace is a 2010  graduate of GSL High School, and graduated this past spring from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago majoring in the biblical languages.  Reservations are not required, but are appreciated for planning purposes.     4. SL Dedication
      2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

       A dedication ceremony for the new monument at the Silver Lake park is coming this Saturday, October 24th at 2 PM. All are welcome to attend. Personalized engraved stones honoring veterans can and will be added to this monument every year. Any veteran, regardless of whether a member of any organization, deceased or living, can have a stone added to this monument by contacting the Silver Lake Legion Post at 320-327-2404

    1. German Dinner
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      Immanuel Lutheran Church of Brownton is having their 32nd annual German Dinner on Sunday, Oct 25th from 10:30a-1p.  Polka Worship with Chuck Thiel starts the day at 9 am.  Dinner is $11 for adults, $6 for children 6-10, and Preschool is Free.  On the menu is Brats, Meatballs, Glazed Carrots, Real Mashed Potatoes, German Potato salad and more.  Proceeds support Noah’s Ark Preschool.

    2. Lutefisk and Meatball Dinner
      12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      Bethel Lutheran Church of Lester Prairie is hosting their annual Lutefisk and Meatball Dinner on Sunday, Oct 25th, Serving from Noon-5 pm.  Adults are $15, Children 12 and under are $8…take outs are available.  On the menu…Lutefisk, Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Coleslaw and more!

      The Stewart Lions are having bingo this Sunday, Oct 25th at 3 pm at Cactus Jacks in Stewart, Meat Raffle is at 2 pm

    1. Bloodmobile in Cokato
      1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Cokato on Monday, October 26th from 1 – 7 PM at the First Baptist Church, 395 Broadway Ave. North.  Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are preferred.  For an appointment call Margaret at 320-286-5827 or Shirley at 320-286-2601.

    2. Bake Sale fundraiser
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Glencoe Historic Preservation Society will be bussing tables and holding a bake sale at Unhinged Pizza on Monday, Oct 26th.  Proceeds will go to finish the groups Fort Sckaddale Project.

    3. Annual Meeting
      5:30 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Society is having their 2015 Annual Meeting on Monday, Oct 26th from 5:30-8:30 pm at the Crow River Winery in Hutchinson.  Cost is $15 for an RSVP, $20 at the door, and Wine Tasting Tour for $5.  Guest Speakers are Retired Country School Teachers Dorothy Lindeman and Alice Boller, and 7th grade historical character Isaac Wehler as FDR.  More info at mcleodhistory.org

    1. Harvest Festival
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      The GSL ECFE is having their Harvest Festival on Thursday, Oct 29th from 10:30-11:30 am at the Learning Center.  The festival is for kids ages birth-Kindergarten entry and their parents.  There will be an outdoor scavenger hunt and more!  No admission, but you are encouraged to bring food for the food shelf

    1. Brownton Youth Halloween Party
      4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

      The Brownton Lions are hosting their Annual Youth Halloween Party on Saturday, October 31st, from 4:00 – 5:30 PM at the Brownton Community Center for children grades 6 and under.  Entrance Fee is $3.00 per child or a maximum of $10.00 per family. All proceeds from the entrance fee will be donated to the McLeod Emergency Food Shelf.  Bring along any old eyeglasses and hearing aids to be donated to Lions International for recycling.  Noah’s Ark Preschool will be serving lunch as a fundraiser.

    2. Trunk or Treat
      5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

      The Bethlehem United Methodist Church is having their Trunk or Treat event on Halloween, Oct 31st from 5-6:30 pm in their church parking lot.  It’s a free, alternative celebration  for kids.  Their lot will be decorated and car trunks filled with candy.

    1. Fall Festival
      9:45 am – 1:00 pm

      Zion Lutheran Church of Buffalo Lake has a Fall Festival on Sunday, Nov. 1st.  Worship at 9:45 am, the Pantry opens up at 10:45 selling Baked Goods, Canned and Preserves.  Meal is at 11 am followed by a Live Auction.  

    2. New Building Dedication
      10:15 am – 1:30 pm

      Immanuel Lutheran Church of New Auburn is holding their New Building Dedication on Sunday, Nov. 1st at 10:15 am, with fellowship and meal following.  All are welcome.

    3. Country School Sign Dedication
      2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      The McLeod County Historical Society is having their Country School Sign Dedication on Sunday, Nov. 1st at the Sumter Township Wildlife Management Area from 2-3 pm.  There will be stories from the Karsten Family and Virgil Voight.

    1. Denny Diamond rescheduled
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Hutchinson Concert Association presents a tribute to Neil Diamond.  Denny Diamond & the jewels are performing in their rescheduled date of Monday, Nov. 2nd at 7 pm in the Maplewood Academy Auditorium.  Season memberships are available or individual tickets are $20 at the door.  Questions? contact Cyndi at 234-6762

    1. Election Day Luncheon
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      Holy Family Council of Winsted is holding their annual Election Day Luncheon on Tuesday, Nov. 3rd from 10:30a-1:30p.  On the Menu is Chicken Noodle Soup and Chili, Pie and Ice Cream and Beverage.  A Country Store and Bake Sale will be from 9:30a-1p, and a raffle held also.  

    2. Lefse Fundraiser
      3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

    1. Meeker Sportsmens Meeting
      8:00 pm – 9:30 pm

      The Meeker Sportsman’s Club is having it’s monthly meeting on Wednesday, Nov 4th at the Litchfield VFW, and they would like all interested people to come.  They will update everyone on the status of the club, and what they expect to accomplish in the next year.   All interested persons just need to show up.

    1. The Taffetas

      The Hutchinson Theatre Company presents the Dinner Theatre Production of “The Taffetas”, Nov. 5-7th and Nov. 12-14th at the Crow River Winery.  Doors open at 5:30 pm each day, Dinner at 6 pm, and Show at 7 pm.  Tickets are $40 per person and available online (hutchtheatre.org) or at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts and at the Hutchinson Chamber office.  

    2. TWOH Meeting
      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      The next meeting of Today’s Women of Hutchinson will be on Thursday, Nov. 5th at 6:30 pm at Harmony River in the lower level.

      St. John’s Lutheran of Winsted invites you to a Chili and Pie Luncheon on Friday, Nov 6th from 10a-1p.  Cost is a free will donation.  Crafts and Baked Goods for sale also.  Proceeds support Missions.
