    1. Soup and Sandwich Fundraiser
      9:30 am – 12:00 pm

      St. Boniface Church of Stewart is having their Soup and Sandwich Fundraiser and Bake Sale on Sunday, Feb 7th from 9:30a-Noon. Serving Chili, Chicken Noodle, and Cheeseburger Soup…plus build your own Sandwich with all the fixin’s. Cost is a free will donation. Proceeds benefit local familes in need of heat, water, and rent assistance this winter.

      The Hutchinson Church of God invites you to their “Souper” Bowl Dinner on Sunday, Feb 7th from Noon-2 pm. Serving Chili, Chicken Noodle, Tomato Basil, and other soups.

      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Edward Ewald American Legion Post 143 and Auxiliary of Brownton will hold their next meeting on Monday, Feb 8th at the Brownton Community Center at 7:30 pm.

    1. Vintage Valentines Party
      4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

      Join the Mcleod County Historic Partnership for a Vintage Valentines Party on Tuesday, Feb 9th from 4-6 pm at the Hutchinson Depot. Free admission, sweets for sale, make your own vintage valentine, Barbershop Quartet sings at 5 pm, and more! Proceeds benefit historical preservation projects.

    2. Dad’s Belgian Waffle Dinner
      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      There is a Dad’s Belgian Waffle Dinner on Tuesday, Feb 9th at the Holy Trinity School Cafeteria from 4:30-7:30 pm. Enjoy all you can eat waffles and toppings, Sausage and a Beverage. Cost is $7 in advance, $7.50 at the door, and Kids under 5 eat free. There is also a Silent Auction.

      1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

      The next Senior Dance at the Cosmos Legion will be Wednesday, Feb 10th from 1:30-4:30 pm with music by Michael James.

    2. Brownton Feb Community Dinner
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Brownton Congregational Church will hold their Community Dinner on Wednesday, Feb 10th from 5-7 pm with a free will offering. The Dinner is hosted the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The next Spaghetti Supper from the Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary will be Thursday, Feb 11th at the Elk’s Lodge in Hutchinson. Serving from 4-7 pm, Adults are $8, Children 10 and under are $3, take outs available.

    2. Beyond the Coloring Book
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The South Central Artisans present the program “Beyond the Coloring Book, Coloring for Adults” on Thursday, Feb 11th at 7 pm at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts. Coloring on Paper and Fabrics.

    1. Learn about the Light for the Lonely Mercy Center
      9:00 am – 11:00 am

      Join Oak Heights Covenant Church in Hutchinson on Saturday, Feb 13th to learn about the Light for the Lonely Mercy Center in Ukraine. At 9 am you will hear from co-founder Sandy Allison and Ukraine Team Member Julie Shaffer about their recent trip to Ukraine and the unexpected way God is now using this Mercy Center to help not just elderly women but also East Ukraine war refugees. Refreshments will be served and childcare is provided. There will be a freewill offering for “Light for the Lonely”. Please call 320-587-8483 for any questions.

    2. Family Fun Day at Cedar Mills Gun Club

      Cedar Mills Gun Club has their Family Fun Day on Saturday, Feb 13th from 2-5 pm. Prizes given out during the day, Raffle Tickets Sold, Refreshments served. More info at cedarmillsgunclub.com

      8:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The Hector Lions Club has their All you can eat Flapjack Festival on Sunday, Feb 14th at the Hector Community Center from 8a-Noon. Free Will Donation for Flapjacks with Fresh Fruit Toppings, French Toast, Sausage, and Beverage. Proceeds benefit BLHS School Safety Patrol Reward Day.  

    2. Schafskopf Tournament
      1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      The Brownton Baseball Association is hosting their annual Schafskopf Tournament on Sunday, Feb 14th at the Brownton Commnity Center. Sessions at 1 and 3 pm. Donation Tickets available (need not be present to win)

    3. Donkey Basketball
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The GSL FFA presents Donkey Basketball on Sunday, Feb 14th at the High School Gym, starting at 7 pm. See members of the community play basketball while riding a donkey. Tickets are $6 in advance, $8 at the door. Tickets available on the GSL website, and also at the District Office.

      The Next meeting of the Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary will be Wednesday, Feb 17th at 7 pm at the Hutchinson VFW.

      3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Plato Fish Fry is coming your way Friday, Feb 19th at the Plato Community Hall. Serving Fish, Potato Salad, Chips, Beans, and more. Serving begins at 3 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $4 for children, and Preschool is Free. Take Out orders available.

      Zion Lutheran Church of Cologne is having their Fish Fry on Friday, Feb 19th from 4-8pm. All you can eat Fish, Scalloped Potatoes, Cole Slaw and more. Tickets are $10 per adult, $5 for Children 5-10, and under 4 eat free.

    1. New Auburn Fish Fry
      11:00 am – 8:00 pm

      The High Island Lake Conservation Club is holding their annual Fish Fry on Saturday, Feb 27th from 11a-8p at the New Auburn City Hall. Serving Fish, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Beans, Beverage and all the Trimmings. Cost is $12 for adults, Children 6-10 are $6, and under 5 is free. Take our orders are available. Also you can take part in the raffle for a Pheasants Forever Print and 2 Bird Houses.

    2. Fundraiser for Minnesota Canine Search Rescue and Tracking
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Second Annual Fundraiser for Minnesota Canine Search Rescue and Tracking will be on Saturday, February 27, 2016, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at One Eyed Willy’s in Lester Prairie.  The event will feature a beer bust (wrist bands are $10.00.  Must be 21 or older with a valid ID), silent auction and bake sale, as well as entertainment by DJ Dr. Fun.  There will also be an appearance by their amazing bloodhound Bubba Bleu Moonshine (a.k.a. “Bleu) who is a nationally certified man tracking machine!  Everyone is welcome to attend.

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Plato invites you to their Pancake Dinner on Sunday, Feb 28th from 10:30a-1p. All you can eat Pancakes, Ham, Applesauce, Dessert, and a Beverage. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for ages 5-12, and 4 and under Free. Proceeds go to Heifer International at the Parochial Educational Fund.

    1. GSL ECFE Program
      6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The GSL ECFE is hosting a leap into spring family fun night on Monday, Feb 29th from 6-7 pm. Kids ages 1-Kindergarten entry and their families are welcome for stories, songs, activities and crafts. Tution is free, but they encourage you to donate old cell phones, ink cartridges, or box tops to support GSL Educational Programs.       11:00 am – 7:30 pm

      The NYA Knights of Columbus Fish Fry is Friday, March 4th at the Church of the Ascension in NYA from 11a-7:30p (or until the fish are gone). Serving Pollack, Au Gratin Potatoes, Baked Beans, Coleslaw, Beverage and Dessert. Adults are $11, Kids 6-12 are $5, and under 5 is free. Take outs available.  

    2. Brownton Fish Fry
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Brownton Lions have their Fish Fry on Friday, March 4th serving from 4-8 pm at the Brownton Community Center. Serving Fish, Potatoes, Beans, Coleslaw and more. Cost is $11 for adults, $5 for Grades K-6, take outs available. Proceeds go to Community Projects. 

    3. SL Fish Fry
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      The Silver Lake Knights of Columbus are holding their annual Fish Fry on Friday, March 4th from 4:30-7:30 pm or until the fish are gone. The event is at the Silver Lake Auditorium and it’s all you can eat! Carry outs available, Raffles and Door Prizes given out. Cost is $10 in advance ($11 at the door), Children under 10 are $5 and under 4 is Free.

    4. HLWW Activities
      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      The HLWW Middle School is hosting a couple events on Friday: Spring Carnival: 6:30-8 pm at the Activity Center. They’ll have lots of games, prizes and refreshments available. This fun family event is sponsored by HLWW Community Education and ECFE. Fingerprinting Your Children: 6:30-8 pm at the Activity Center. The Howard Lake Police Department will have officers available to fingerprint children during the Spring Carnival in the Activity Center of the Middle School. Parents can keep these fingerprint records in their personal files and the cost is free.

      Shady Lane Sportsmens Club will have a corn giveaway for wildlife and breakfast on Saturday, March 5 from 7am-10am at the club house.

    2. Juvenile Diabetes Fundraiser
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      The 6th annual Juvenile Diabetes Fundraiser will be Saturday, March 5th from 9a-2p at the Blue Note Ballroom in Winsted. Shop the Crafters and Vendors, Bid on the Silent Auction, Kids take part in the Carnival, Shop the Bake Sale, listen to Live music and more! All Money raised goes to JDRF.
