    1. Plato Lions spring brunch
      9:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The Plato Lions are holding their 31st annual Spring Brunch on Sunday, March 30th from 9 am – Noon at the Plato Hall.  All you can eat Pancakes, Sausage, Eggs, Toast, and Beverage.  Free will donations accepted with proceeds going to the food shelf.  

    2. Luce Line RR club Program
      1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Museum is hosting a program on the Luce Line Railroad Club on Sunday, March 30th at 1 pm.  Learn about club history, see model displays and videos, and learn about toy train repair.  Refreshments served after the program.  

    3. Forest City Pancake and Sausage Supper
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      St. Gertrude’s of Forest City Mens Group will be serving their annual pancake and sausage supper on Sunday, March 30th from 4-7 pm at the church.  Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for children under 12 with an adult, and under 6 is free.  Also you can stop at the Parish Bake Sale that day.

    1. Glencoe Preservation Society fundraiser
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Glencoe Preservation Society will be busing tables for tips and Unhinged Pizza in Glencoe from 4-8 pm on Monday, March 31st.  Proceeds raised will go towards furnishing the kitchen in the historic room at the Glencoe City Center.

    1. Pet Supply Drive
      9:00 am – 10:00 am

      Minnesota Municipal Beverage Association & Miller Lite, together with the Liquor Hutch ask you to bring Cat or Dog food, leashes, blankets, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, cash or oher items. All donations will go to the Hutchinson Heart of MN Animal Shelter. For a full “Wish List” of items  or to drop your donations go to the Liquor Hutch.  Supplies drive starts April 1st and runs until April 30, 2014.  

    2. Renville County Grief Support Group
      5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      Renville County Hospice is sponsoring their Spring Good Grief Support Group, starting April 1st and running Tuesday evenings until May 20th.  The Group goes from 5:30 – 7:30 pm each Tuesday at the RC Hosptial’s Willette Room in Olivia.  Admission is free.  To register call 320-523-3451.  The group is for anyone who has gone through or experienced the loss of a loved one.

    1. Hutch Theatre Company
      7:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Hutchinson Theatre Company presents “The Big Five-Oh” on April 3-5 and April 10-12 at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts.  Shows at 7 pm each night.  Tickets are $18 per person and available online (hutchtheatre.org) or in Person at the Center or the Hutchinson Chamber and Tourism Office.

    1. St. Paul’s Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Pauls United Church of Christ in Plato is hosting their Salad Luncheon on Friday, April 4th from 11a-1p.  Cost is $8 for th luncheon, Cookbooks available for $6.  

    2. BL Fish Fry
      11:30 am – 7:00 pm

      It’s a Fish Fry at the Buffalo Lake Fire Hall sponsored by the BL Lions.  Serving from 11:30 am – 7 pm Or until gone.  Take Outs available, All you can eat Alaskan Pollack, Potato Wedges, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw and more!  Cost is $9 in advance, $10 at the door, ages 6-12 are $4, and under 5 is free.

    3. Cologne Fish Fry
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Zion Lutheran Church of Cologne has their All you can Eat Fish Fry on Friday, April 4th from 4-8 pm.  Also on the menu is scalloped potatoes, cole slaw, and sweets.  Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 5-10 years of age, and under 4 eat for free.  

    4. CR Singers present Viva Italia
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Crow River Singers present Viva Italia, featuring songs from Italian composers and other favorites on April 4th and 6th.  The concert on the 4th will start at 7 pm at the First Congregational UCC of Hutchinson, while the concer on the 6th will be at 2 pm at Peace Lutheran Church.  Admission is $7, under 12 is free.  Refreshments are served

    1. Emmaus Gift Shop Spring Fling
      8:30 am – 10:00 am

      The Emmaus Gift Shop of Litchfield will hold their spring fling on Saturday, April 5th.  The Gift Shop will offer 10% discount on all items, Brunch is served from 8:30-10 am ($5.50 cost).  Everyone is welcome.

    2. LP Spring Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Spring Luncheon Bake &Craft Sale at Bethel Lutheran Church, Lester Prairie will be on Saturday, April 5th,11am-1pm.   On the Menu :Sloppy Joes, Hot Dog, Egg Salad Sandwich, Chips, Pickles, Beverage, and Fancy Dessert.  Don’t forget to shop The Bake and Craft Sale

    3. Sportsmans Banquet
      5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Riverside Church in Hutchinson is having a Sportsmens Banquet on Saturday, April 5th from 5-9 pm at the church.  Guest speaker is former Vikings Linebacker Jeff Siemon, who is now division director for Search Ministries.  Cost is $10 at the door.  Serving Pulled Pork Sandwiches, many door prizes given away, plus bring a non perishable food item for the food shelf.  

    4. Cosmos Pork Chop Feed
      5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Cosmos Lions invite you to a barbecued pork chop feed on Saturday, April 5 at the Cosmos Legion.  Serving is from 5:30-8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Legion, Gary’s Repair and from Lions Club members for $10.  Following the meal, the Cosmos Fire Department will have its annual dance beginning at 8 p.m. with music by Sundown Entertainment.

      St James Lutheran School, Howard Lake invites you to their annual PTL dinner Sunday, April 6 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The menu includes: pork Chops, Scalloped potatoes, corn, applesauce, rolls, dessert and beverage. Adults $8.00; children 4 – 12 $5.00; and 3 and under free.

    1. Sheila Ray Charles at Riverside
      7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Riverside Church of Hutchinson invites you to hear Sheila Ray Charles speak on Monday, April 7th at 7 pm in the church.  The daughter of the legendary Ray Charles will speak on her story of Abuse, drug addiction, and prison life through her music and story of her personal salvation.  Admission is free, however a love offering will be taken after the service.  More info go to riversidehutch.org

    1. Pizza Fundraiser
      4:00 pm – 6:30 pm

      A Papa Murphy’s fund raiser will be held on Tuesday, April 8th at the Hutchinson store to benefit local students on the team for the ”EF Tour to London-Paris-Rome during Spring Break of 2015″ coordinated by Ms. Lokken of New Century Academy.  The team will receive a percentage of the total sales for that day (excluding $5 fave pizzas).  Peel-A-Deal cards will also be sold for $5 by students at the store between 4p-6:30p.

    2. Breast Cancer Support Group
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The next Breast Cancer Support Group meeting will be Tuesday, April 8th from 7-8:30 pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.  Dr. Paul Sperduto (Spur-do-Toe) from Ridgeview Regional Radiation will be the guest speaker.  The Group is open to the public and free of charge.

      Hector United Methodist Church is hosting their Soup and Salad Luncheon and Boutique on Wednesday, April 9th starting at 11 am.  Adults are $8, Preschool age is free.

    2. Cosmos Senior Dance
      1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

      The next senior dance at the Cosmos American Legion will be Wednesday, April 9th from 1:30-4:30pm.  Music from Michael James.  Light lunch served following the dance.

    1. St. John’s Youth group garage sale
      8:00 am – 2:00 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Plato is holding their youth group garage sale Thursday-Saturday (April 10-12).  Hours on Thursday and Friday are 8 am-5 pm, Saturday 8am-2 pm.  Also in the event is a bake sale, plus a hot dog meal served.  

    2. Spring Art Show
      8:30 am – 9:45 am

      Artists are invited to submit your artwork for the Annual Spring Art Show at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts.  The art will be on display from April 15th-May 1st.  Entries are due Thursday, April 10th.  Prizes will be awarded in 6 different categories (Painting, Drawing, Digital Art, Fiber Art, Sculpture/3D, Jewelry).  More info or registration forms available at HutchinsonArts.org

    3. Bloodmobile in Brownton
      1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Brownton at the Community Center on Thursday, April 10th from 1-7 pm.

    4. Fiber Arts Guild
      4:30 pm – 6:00 pm

      The Fiber Arts Guild will hold it’s next meeting on Thursday, April 10th at 4:30 pm at Quilt Haven on Main in Hutchinson.  This months program is a presentation from Quilt Haven.  

    5. Veterans Park Board
      7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

      The McLeod County Veterans Park Board will meet at Hutchinson Post 96, April 10, at 7:30 pm

    1. Plato Garage Sales
      8:00 am – 12:00 pm

      Plato is holding their area Garage Sales on Friday and Saturday (April 11/12).  Sales start at 8 am at various locations.  Just look for the balloons and signs.

    2. SL Paper Drive
      9:00 am – 5:00 pm

      The Holy Family Church of Silver Lake is holding their Paper Drive on Friday and Saturday (April 11, 12).  You may drop off your paper products on the north side of the Holy Family Church in Silver Lake.  Proceeds will go to the SL Swimming Pool Operations and the SL Youth Recreation programs.  

    3. Patty Kark in Concert
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      Peace Lutheran Church of Hutchinson presents Patty Kark in Concert on Friday, April 11th at the church.  Concert is Free and starts at 7 pm.  Refreshments will follow, and a free will offering will be taken for the Little Lambs Preschool.  Kark will be presenting the Story of Easter “My redeemer lives”

    1. HLWW ECFE garage sale
      9:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The 23rd annual Spring ECFE Garage Sale will be Saturday, April 12th from 9-Noon at HLWW High School.  Families selling children’s clothes, maternity clothes, accessories, books, toys andmore!  No admission to shop.  Plus kids can stop by the free big wheels activity in the parking lot from 10-11 am.
