    1. McInnis Kitchen Concert
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The WM Fine Arts Council present the internationally acclaimed group McInnis Kitchen on Monday, Feb 27th at 7 pm at the WM HS Performing Arts Center. The WM School Choirs will be joining the group on stage in the concert. Cost is a $5 admission at the door.

    1. Dad’s Belgian Waffle Dinner
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      You are invited to a Dad’s Belgian Waffle Feed on Tuesday, Feb 28th at the Holy Trinity School Cafeteria from 4:30-7:30 pm. Enjoy all you can eat Waffles, toppings, sausage, and beverage. Tickets are $7 in advance, $7.50 at the door. Kids 5 and under eat Free. Take Outs available. You can also bid on the silent auction.

      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      The Silver Lake Knights of Columbus is having their Fish Fry on Friday, March 3rd from 4:30-7:30 pm at the SL Auditorium. All you can eat for $10 in advance, $11 at the door, Children under 10 are $5, and under 4 is Free. Carry out orders, Raffles, and Door Prizes.

    1. Foster Parent Orientation
      9:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Mcleod County Social Services is hosting a Foster Parent Orientation for families interested in becoming foster parents. The Orientation is Saturday, March 4th from 9a-3p at the Mcleod County Solid Waste Management Building. The meeting is an opportunity to learn about the foster care program to decide if becoming a foster parent may be right for you. To register or get more info call Brenda at 320-864-1301

    2. Armory Open House
      10:00 am – 12:00 pm

      On March 4th from 10 to noon there will be an open house at the newly remodeled Litchfield Armory to honor General Vessey.  At 10AM Bruce Cottington a WWII Veteran of Underage Service will present to Company B a bronze bust of General Vessey.  General Vessey was a Veteran of Under Age Service and rose to become the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  He was from Minnesota and a Red Bull.  Following the presentation the armory will be open to review the remodel, see how the guard trains and to see the new Bradley Fighting vehicle.

    1. Barnyard Fun
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      The GSL ECFE presents a day of Barnyard Fun on Wednesday, March 8th from 10:30-11:30am. Kids ages 1-Kindergarten entry can enjoy crafts, stories, songs, and a visit to the GSL FFA’s Barnyard. Tuition is free but they ask you consider donating items or cash to the Mcleod Emergency Food Shelf. Register at the GSL Schools Website or call 320-864-2681.

      The Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary’s Next Spaghetti Supper is March 9th at the Elks Club from 4-7 pm.  

    2. Kindergarten Meeting
      6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      St. Anastasia School has an upcoming Kindergarten Informational Meeting on Thursday, March 9th at 6pm. Explore the educational opportunities that St. Anastasia School has to offer. Visit with other parents along with hearing from the Kindergarten teacher on the curriculum taught at St. Anastasia school.

    1. Peace Lutheran Fish Fry
      11:00 am – 7:00 pm

      The Peace Lutheran Church of Hutchinson has their Fish Fry on Friday, March 10th from 11a-7p. New this year is Salad Bar and choice of Baked or Fried Fish. Cost is $12 at the door for adults, $11 for seniors, $6 for Children 6-12, and Free for those 5 and under.  

    2. Winsted Fish Fry
      3:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      The Winsted KC Council invites you to their Fish Fry on Friday, March 10th at the Blue Note Ballroom from 3-7:30 pm. Tickets are $11 in advances, $12 at the door, Children 5 and under $5.

      Kids Depot Preschool is having their open house on Saturday, March 11th from 9a-11:30a. Visit with the teachers and staff and see the educational opportunities it offers your child.  

    2. Singing for the Cows

      The DC Arts Association presents Deborah Jean Templin in Concert Saturday, March 11th at the Dassel History Center. The “Singing for the Cows” show will begin at 7 pm, Tickets are $10.

    1. St Patricks Celebration
      1:30 pm – 4:00 pm

      St. Brendan’s Catholic Church of Green Isle’s St. Patrick’s Celebration- with an afternoon of Bingo, prizes, & lunch will be on Sunday March 12 at 1:30 p.m.  Event will be held at the Green Isle School Gymnasium.   $8.00 for 20 games, plus lunch & door prizes.

    1. Presentation
      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      You are invited to attend a presentation on the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America March 14, 6:30pm at Harmony River Living Center, Hutchinson. Janet Beihoffer, Adjunct Professor at Metropolitan State University, cover the period between 1776 and 1788 when the US Constitution was finally official.  In addition, she will discuss the role of Religion and its influence in our Founding. Question and answer period following presentation. Refreshments served.

      St Anastasia Catholic Church is holding their Rummage Sale on March 15-17th. Quarter for most items, Friday is $2/bag day. Winter Coats and Jackets are $1 each.

    2. Food for Kidz Packing Event
      7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      Christ The King Church and 3M Cares are doing a Food For Kidz Packing on Wednesday, March 15th from 7-10p and Thursday, March 16th from Noon-5 pm. Everyone is welcome, also donations are needed to pay for ingredients…100% of the donations go to the cost of the ingredients.

    2. Craft and Vendor Sale
      9:00 am – 3:00 pm

      The 2nd Annual Spring Craft and Vendor Sale will be Saturday, March 18th at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson from 9a-3p. Salad and Ham on a Bun will be served at Noon for a free will donation. Proceeds raised go to the church’s Youth Group.  

    3. Vintage Snowmobile Show
      9:00 am – 3:00 pm

      The Crow River Sno Pro’s are having their annual Vintage Snowmobile Show on Saturday, March 18th from 9a-3p at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds. There will be a Youth Fun Zone, Simulator, swap meet and more.  

    4. Cabin Fever Days Mystery Dinner
      6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      6th Annual Brownton Cabin Fever Days Mysterty Dinner is Saturday, March 18th. Doors open at 6 pm, Smoked Pork Chop Dinner and Show at 7 pm at the Brownton Community Center. Tickets are $20 per person.

      The next Bouja and Chicken Noodle Soup Sale will be Sunday, March 19th at St. Anthony’s Church in Watkins from 8:30a-Noon. Bouja is $13 per gallon, Chicken Noodle is $12. You can pre order by calling Larry at 320-764-2965.

    2. Belgian Waffle Feed
      9:30 am – 12:30 pm

      Sunday March 19th - Montrose Methodist Church is hosting its annual Dad’s Belgian Waffle breakfast and silent auction at the Community Center in Montrose from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm.  Menu includes waffles, sausage, strawberries, flavored syrup, coffee, milk & orange juice.  All you care to eat – take-outs available.  Adults $8, Kids 6-12 $5, under 5 free.  Proceeds benefit FE+ED, Love INC & other ministries of outreach/caring.

    3. Mini Concert
      9:30 am – 11:00 am

      On Sunday, March 19th Guest Speaker Travis Vaad will be sharing during the regular 9:30 am morning worship service at Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake. Travis is a gifted singer/songwriter/recording artist, pastor, missionary and Christian speaker. Immediately following the service (at about 10:35 am) there will be a 40 minute mini-concert with free refreshments where Travis will be playing and sharing some of the background to his songs found on his latest album”Fly”. There is no charge for the event—and the public is invited to attend.

      You’re invited to a Ryane Clark Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser on Saturday, March 25th at the American Legion in New London. There is a Chicken Dinner from 11a-3p, Bake Sale, Silent Auction, and Meat Raffle.
