      The Glencoe VFW Auxiliary is hosting a Pillow Cleaning on Friday, Sept. 15th from 7a-3p at the VFW Club in Glencoe. Get New Ticking, On the spot cleaning, and returned the same day.  

    2. Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      You are welcome to a Salad Luncheon on Friday, Sept. 15th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Brownton. Serving assorted salads from 11a-1p. Cost is $8.  

    3. Turkey Dinner
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      First Presbyterian Church of Howard Lake will be hosting its Annual Turkey Dinner, Friday, September 15, from 4:30 -7:30 pm. Adults are $12.00, Children 5-12 are $5.00, and under 5 are free. Take-Out is also available!

    4. Pork Chop Dinner
      5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      The Cedar Mills Lions annual Pork Chop Dinner is Friday, Sept. 15th from 5-7:30 pm at the Cedar Mills Gun Club. Free Dance from 7-10 pm with the Detour Band. Proceeds go to Local Projects.

      You’re invited to a benefit for Samantha Bernardy on Saturday, September 16th at Cactus Jacks 2 in Stewart. Meal served from 4-7p for a Suggested Donation of $10. Also take part in the meat Raffle, Bake Sale, Silent Auction and Live Music. Proceeds benefit Bernardy who’s fighting a brain tumor.

    1. Hector Flight Breakfast
      7:30 am – 12:30 pm

      The 75th annual Hector Flight Breakfast is on Sunday, Sept. 17th, serving from 7:30a-12:30p. All you can eat for a Free Will Donation. All proceeds benefit McKenya Egge. This year’s Featured aircraft is a Grumman Wildcat US Navy WW2 Fighter. Kids Ping Pong Ball Drop is at 11:30am. Everyone Welcome

    2. Animals in Church
      9:30 am – 11:00 am

      On Sunday, September 17th at 9:30 am the Grace Bible Church of Silver Lake will be holding a special Rally Day Service with Guest speaker Caara Holmstrom of Paul Bunyan’s Animal Land near Bemidji, MN. Caara will be bringing a young African Spotted Leopard, a skink, and other creatures.  Her program reveals God’s creative hand in what He has made. Caara is an educator, as well as the owner of Paul Bunyan’s Animal Land. This is a great opportunity to get up close and learn about some unique members of creation. The public is invited to attend, and there is no charge. 

    3. Fall Festival
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Oster Covenant Church is having their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 17th. Service at 10 am, Potluck Lunch and music by the Wagon Wheelers following the service.  

    4. St John’s Fall Festival
      11:00 am – 3:00 pm

      St John’s Catholic Church’s Fall Festival is Sunday, Sept. 17th at the St John’s Education Center on Highway 12 between Dassel and Cokato. Roast Beef Dinner served from 11a-2p. Adults are $9, Kids 4-10 are $4. Also take part in the Cash Raffle, Food Stand, Bingo, Country Store and more!

      The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Watertown is having their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 17th. Serving a Homestyle Turkey Dinner from 11:30a-1:30p. Also take part in Games, Bingo, Raffle, Music, Silent Auction and more!

    6. Walk for Life
      1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The Inmotion Walk for Life is Sunday, Sept. 17th from 1-4 pm at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson. Checkin at Noon, Music, Fun Zone, Refreshments and more. Speakers include Dan Reidenberg, SAVE Executive Director and Dan Hanson, Suicide Survivor, Combat Veteran and Wounded Warrior Program. To register or get more information go to SAVE.org.

      First Lutheran Church of Winthrop is hosting a Block Party on Wednesday, Sept. 20th from 4:30-8:30 pm. Enjoy Free Sweet Corn, Hot Dogs, Chips, and Lemonade. Also music from “Church of Cash”, Bounce House, Face Painting and more!

      The Hector United Methodist Church has a Chicken Pie Supper on Wednesday, Sept. 20th starting at 4:30 pm. Serving Chicken and Biscuits, Mashed Potatoes, Baked Beans and more! Adults are $11, 5-12 years old are $6. Take Outs available.

      The Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary has a few events coming up: Wednesday, Sept 20th is their first Unit Meeting of the year, 7 pm at the Hutchinson VFW – Unit’s Cashwise Cookout Thursday-Saturday September 21-23 – Pillow Fluff event on Saturday, Sept 23rd from 7a-1p.

      The Litchfield Opera House presents 4 Hall of Fame Musicians in Concert on Saturday, Sept. 23rd from 7-10 pm.     1. PACER Center Program
      6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

      PACER Center will offer “Transitioning to Employment,” a free workshop for parents of youth with disabilities and for professionals. It will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28 at the Days Inn, Hutchinson. This workshop will provide information on career exploration and planning, including information about agencies that provide independent living, financial, and employment services and supports. Parents will gain knowledge about how to help prepare their youth for employment and life skills after high school. Parents of students in ninth grade and above are encouraged to attend. Participants will receive a packet of helpful information and resources.     1. Tiger Family Fun Day
      9:30 am – 10:00 pm

      Hutchinson HS is hosting Tiger Time Family Fun Day on Saturday, Sept. 30th. In the morning it’s the Tiger Cub Challenge…an American Ninja Warrior type course designed for younger kids ages 6-13. Plus the Tiger Time Challenge is a similar course designed for those ages 14 and up. In the Afternoon the High School will be open from 1-3 pm for Tours of the newly redesigned portion of the building, and in the evening starting at 7 pm it’s Tigers After Dark at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds. Live Music,Beverages, Food and Games!  

    2. Plato Lions Oktoberfest
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Plato Lions have Oktoberfest on September 30th from 4-7 pm at the King Pin Pub. Serving Brats, Sauerkraut, German Potato Salad, Apple Dessert, Hot Dogs and more! Proceeds go to local projects

      8:30 am – 12:00 pm

      Senior Providers of Mcleod County presents a Stress Management and Resiliency Training Program by Debbie Fuehrer on Tuesday, Oct 3rd at the Hutchinson Event Center from 8:30a-Noon. The program is designed for Caregivers, Professionals, Families, Friends and the Community. The SMART program is scientifically proven to decrease symptoms of stress and anxieity and increase well being. Tickets available at Harmony River of Hutchinson and Ecument of Litchfield.

      GSL ECFE has it’s fall festival on Thursday, Oct 5th from 10:30-11:30 am or 6-7 pm at the Early Childhood Learning Center in Glencoe. Ages 0-Kingergarten Entry Students and Parents are welcome to learn about Nature items, and explore activities related to fall. Cost is Free but they ask you bring an item for the Mcleod Emergency Food Shelf. Register online at the GSL School Website.

      You are invited to the United Lutheran Church of Lake Lillian’s annual Fall Festival on Thursday, Oct. 5th. Swedish Meatball Dinner served. Cost is $10 for adults, $3 for those 6-12, and 5 and under free.

    2. St A’s School Fundraiser
      1:15 pm – 3:00 pm

      On Friday, October 6, St. Anastasia School students along with staff, parents and friends will participate in the Marathon for Nonpublic Education, a 3.5 mile walk along the crow river to raise funds and awareness for their school.  .  The students will leave from the school gym at approximately 1:20 p.m. and return from the walk around 3:00 p.m.   As St. Anastasia Catholic School’s largest fundraiser, the Marathon helps to support the continuous growth of its students. Donations can be sent to St. Anastasia School – Marathon, 400 Lake Street SW, Hutchinson, MN 55350 or online at www.stanastasiaschool.net
