      The United Lutheran Church of Lake Lillian has their Smelt Fry on Friday, March 18th. Serving Smelt, Coleslaw, Beans and more. Adults are $12, Ages 6-12 are $5, 5 and under Free.

    2. Spring Bingo Fundraiser
      5:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Hamburg Lions are hosting their Spring Bingo event on Friday, March 18th at the Hamburg Community Hall. Doors open at 5:30 pm, Games at 7. Hamburgers, Beverage, and Popcorn are available. Proceeds raised go to their Food for Kidz program in April.

    1. Big Little Hunting and Fishing Expo
      9:00 am – 4:00 pm

      You are invited to the Big Little Hunting and Fishing Expo Saturday, March 19th at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds. Enjoy seminars on bass and walleye fishing, outdoor photography, and more. See Sydney the baby kangaroo, participate in minnow races, a trout pond, games for the kids and more. Admission is for any donation. The event starts at 9 am.

      You’re invited to the Craft and Vendor Spring Sale at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson on Saturday, March 19th from 9a-4p. The event is a fundraiser for the Youth Ministry.

    1. Smoked Ham and Pancake Breakfast
      8:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Green Isle hosts their annual Smoked Ham and Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 20th from 8a-1p. Serving Pancakes, Eggs, Ham, Cheese, Applesauce, Bars and a Beverage for a Free Will Offering. Proceeds raised will go toward brick repairs on the church.

      8:30 am – 1:00 pm

      The Foundation for Challenged Children invite you to their Benefit Breakfast on Sunday, March 20th from 8:30a-1p at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Free Will Offering to Support Children in Need. More info at foundationforchallengedchildren.com

    3. Soup Sale
      8:30 am – 12:00 pm

      St. Anthony’s Church in Watkins has their next sale of Bouja and Chicken Noodle Soup on Sunday, March 20th from 8:30a-Noon. Bouja is $13 per gallon, Chicken Noodle is $12. You may preorder by calling Larry at 320-764-2965. These sales will again be offered in the fall.

    4. Stewart Easter Party
      9:00 am – 12:30 pm

      The Stewart Lions have their annual Kids Easter Party and Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 20th from 9a-12:30p at the Stewart Fire Hall. All you can eat Pancakes, Eggs, Sausage, Fruit, and Beverage. Cost is just a free will donation. Proceeds go to local projects.

    5. Dads Belgian Waffle Breakfast
      9:30 am – 12:30 pm

      Montrose Methodist Church is hosting its annual Dad’s Belgian Waffle breakfast and silent auction on Sunday, March 20th at the Community Center in Montrose from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm.  Menu includes waffles, sausage, strawberries, flavored syrup, and a beverage.  All you care to eat – take-outs available.  Adults $8, Kids 6-12 $5, under 5 free.  Proceeds benefit FE+ED & other ministries.

    6. Chicken Dinner
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      The Winsted Catholic Order of Foresters will be having their Chicken Dinner on Sunday, March 20th from 10:30a-1p at the Blue Note Ballroom in Winsted. Serving Chicken, Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, and more. Adults are $10 in advance, $11 at the door, Children 6-10 are $5 and 5 and under are free. Proceeds support Furnishing the upper level of the new entrance at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

    7. Antique Appraisal
      2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Society has their Antique Appraisal Fundraiser on Sunday, March 20th from 2-4 pm. Have your treasures appraised for $7 per item or $15 for three items…or come and watch the fun for $3 admission. More info at mcleodhistory.org

    8. Pancake and Sausage Supper
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Church of St. Gertrude in Forest City is hosting their Pancake and Sausage Supper on Sunday, March 20th from 4-7 pm. Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and 6 and under eat free. Also don’t forget to shop their bake sale!

    1. St. A’s Rummage Sale
      8:00 am – 12:00 pm

      St. Anastasia Church’s Rummage Sale is March 21-23 at their School Auditorium. 25 Cents for most items, Wednesday is $2 bag day, and Winter Coats are $1 each.  Hours Mon/Tues are 8a-6p, Wed 8a-Noon

    2. Renville County All Ag
      5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Renville Counties All Ag Celebration is coming up on Monday, March 21st at the Island Ballroom in Bird Island. Social Hour begins at 5 pm, Pork Chop Dinner at 6 pm. There will be a silent auction, kids activities, and awards will be given out. Tickts are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-12, and under 5 is free. All proceeds will go to Relay for Life, Ag Scholarships, and Ag Education.

    1. GSL Jazz Band Concert
      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The GSL Jazz Band will be hosting the Southwest MN State University Jazz Ensemble and drummer Mike Clark on Tuesday, March 22 at 7:30 pm. Clark gained fame by playing with Herbie Hancock, Prince, Janet Jackson and others. The Concert is free and open to the public.

    1. Cedar Mills Fish Fry
      11:00 am – 7:00 pm

      The Cedar Mills All you can eat Fish Fry is Friday, March 25th from 11a until the fish are gone. Cost is $12 for adults, Ages 6-12 are $6, and under 5 is free. Music by a DJ from 8p-Midnight, plus take part in the Raffles. Everything is at the Cedar Mills Gun Club.

    1. Brownton Easter Egg Hunt
      9:30 am – 11:00 am

      Kids ages 3rd grade and younger are invited to the Easter Egg Hunt in Brownton on Saturday, March 26th at the Brownton Community Center. Doors open at 9:30 am, Hunt at 10. Treat Bags and Prizes are given, take your photo with the Easter Bunny. Free admission.

      The GSL ECFE is hosting a day for Ooey Gooey Art on Tuesday, March 29th from 10:30a-11:30a. Kids ages 1-Kindergarten entry and their families are welcome to take part in the art and fun. Tution is free but you are encouraged to donate old cell phones, ink cartridges, or box tops to support GSL Educational Programs.       Bethel Lutheran Church of Lester Prairie is having their Paper Drive from March 31-April 13. Bring your Paper, Telephone Books, Boxes, and anything else paper to the trailer at the church. (no pizza boxes with food on them, or plastic bags or strings around paper.

    1. Help your local animal shelter
      8:00 am – 10:00 pm

      During the month of April help collect supplies for the local animal shelter. There is a list of items you can donate at the Liquor Hutch, plus a place to drop off your supplies at the same spot. Then on 30th there will be a Pet Adoption Day at the Liqor Hutch from 10a-Noon.  

    2. Grackle Days
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      Take Part in Winthrop’s Grackle Days April 1st – 3rd. This year’s theme is Grackling around the world. Friday you can take part in the Taj Mahal Breakfast on the Farm, the Little Italy Spaghetti Dinner, and the Dance Party Down Under. Saturday enjoy Cleopatra’s Temple of Treasure’s Craft Show, the Running with the Bulls 5K, Ole and Lena’s Variety Show, and more! Then Sunday it’s the Big Ben Omlet Breakfast, Miss Winthrop Coronation, and the Auf Weidersehen Dance. More info at their Facebook Page.

    3. BL Lions Fish Fry
      11:30 am – 7:00 pm

      The Buffalo Lake Lions present their Fish Fry on Friday, April 1st from 11:30a-7p at the BL Fire Hall. All you can eat for $10 in advance, $11 at the door, ages 5-12 are $4, and under 5 is free. Don’t forget about the raffle and the business expo during the event. Proceeds used for local projects.

    4. A Night of Comic Relief
      5:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Church of St. Philip in Litchfield presents a night of Comic Relief on Friday, April 1. Happy Hour at 5:30 pm, Dinner at 6:30 pm, and Comedian John DeBoer performs at 8 pm. Tickets available at the church for $30.

    1. Foster Parent Orientation
      9:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Mcleod County Social Services is hosting an orientation for those interested in becoming a foster parent. The Orientation is set for Saturday, April 2nd from 9a-3p at the Mcleod County Solid Waste Management building in Hutchinson. It’s an opportunity to learn more about the program and ask questions to decide if becoming a foster parent is right for you. Call Brenda at 320-864-3144 to register.

      The Friends of the Hutchinson Library will be having their indoor used book sale on Saturday, April 2nd from 10a-5p at the Library.

    3. Hog Roast
      5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Winsted Sportsmens Club is holding their annual Hog Roast on Saturday, April 2nd at the Blue Note in Winsted. Serving from 5-8 pm, Tickets are $9 in advance, $10 at the door. Tickets available from club members, Take outs are available.  

    4. Mcleod County Dairy Assocation Spring Banquet
      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      McLeod County Dairy Association Spring Banquet and Dairy Princess Coronation is Saturday April 2nd at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Appetizers at 7p.m. complete buffet dinner 7:30p.m.followed by  MAKE -YOUR-OWN-SUNDAE BAR.Dinner Music by Alice Nowak.  Come and See who will be the 2016-2017 McLeod County Dairy Princesses

Proceeds go to Community Projects, and they ask you bring an item to donate to Sibley County FoodShare.

      You are invited to a benefit Turkey Commercial Dinner for Jeremy Thiel on Sunday, April 3rd from 10:30a-1:30p at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. Cost is just a free will donation. Serving a Turkey Commercial, Bars, and drink. Proceeds benefit Jeremy’s fight with esophageal Cancer.
