The Stewart American Legion is having their annual Poultry Party and Raffle on Saturday, Nov. 11th at 5:30 pm at Cactus Jacks 2 in Stewart. This Fundraiser benefits several VA Programs. They are raffling off Turkey’s, Hams, Ducks, Steaks, and more! Plus Prize drawins all night and Free beer and BBQ’s from 6:30-8 pm.

−Medicare Presentation2:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Join Sibley County Public Health for a FREE presentation on how changes in Medicare for 2018 will affect Medicare beneficiaries. The CARE event will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Arlington Community Center in Arlington. Two sessions of this event will be offered: the first beginning at 2:00 pm and the second session beginning at 6:00 pm. There will be free blood pressure checks before the presentations, refreshments and door prizes. Featured speakers will be Robin Thompson from the MN River Area Agency on Aging and Stephen Perry from MN Department of Veterans Affairs. Various local agencies supporting the event will share information on the services they offer. If you have questions contact Sibley County Public Health and Human Services at (507) 237-4000.

Back by popular demand the Mcleod County Historical Society will have their second showing of the Documentary “Little Crow and the Dakota War” on Sunday, Nov. 19th starting at 4 pm at the State Theatre of Hutchinson. Celebrate Thanksgiving with the DAV and its Auxiliary in Hutchinson on Thursday, Nov. 23rd. They’re serving a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner from 11:30a-1p at Peace Lutheran Church’s Peace Center, 400 Franklin Street in Hutchinson. Free to those that are alone or have no one to spend the holiday with. Any Donations received go to Veterans Services. Transportation, Take Outs or Deliveries are available by calling 587-1000 before the 23rd.

The Dassel-Cokato Arts Association proudly welcomes the Six Appeal Vocal Band’s “Ugly Sweater Party” to the Dassel-Cokato Performing Arts Center on Saturday, November 25, at 7:00 PM! Advance reserved seat tickets are $20/Adults and $8/Youth, ages 2-18. (Tickets sold at the door will be $2/each more.) Tickets are available online at http://pac.dc.k12.mn.us Tickets are also sold through the Dassel-Cokato Community Education office, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
