    1. Ness Nordic Fest
      11:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Ness Nordic Fest is Saturday, May 7th from 11a-3p at the Historic Ness Church of Litchfield. Free admission to this event for all ages. Featuring music by Skal Klubben Spelmanslag, quilt raffle, concessions and bake sale, ethnic foods and egg coffee…and more!

    2. Salad Luncheon
      11:30 am – 1:00 pm

      The Presbyterian Women of Silver Lake will host a salad luncheon on May 7, at 11:30 am. The menu will include assorted salads and desserts.

    1. Equul Access Fundraiser
      11:00 am – 9:00 pm

      Help raise money for Equul Access on Monday, May 9th. From 11a-9p 15%of your total bill at Buffalo Wild Wings in Hutchinson will be donated to Equul Access to help with youth horse therapies.  

    2. Spring Firearms Safety Classes
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Gopher Campfire is holding their Spring Firearms Safety classes starting May 9th from 6-9 pm. The class is for anyone 12 years of age and older who wishes to hunt in any state that require a firearms safety certificate in order to buy a license. Cost is $7.50 and all materials will be supplied.For Questions or to register call 320-587-3153.  

    3. Brownton Legion May Meeting
      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Edward Ewald American Legion Post 143 and Auxiliary of Brownton will hold their next meeting on Monday, May 9th at the Brownton Community Center at 7:30 pm.

      1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

      The next Senior Dance at the Cosmos Legion is Wednesday, May 11 from 1:30-4:30p. Music by Michael James.

    2. May Community Dinner
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Brownton Congregational Church will hold their Community Dinner on Wednesday, May 11th from 5-7 pm with a free will offering. The Dinner is hosted the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

    1. Fluff and Puff
      7:30 am – 3:30 pm

      The Lester Prairie Legion Auxiliary is sponsoring a Fluff and Puff Pillow Cleaning on Thursday, May 12th from 7:30a-3:30 pm at the LP City Hall. Pillows can also be dropped off Wenesday, May 11 from 6-8p.

      6:00 am – 6:00 pm

      The Hutchinson Legion Auxiliary has their Poppy Day on Friday, May 13th from 6a-6p. The event benefits Veterans so look for them when you are out to show your support.  

    2. Kids Garage Sale
      9:00 am – 7:00 pm

      St. Anastasia’s Kids Garage Sale is Friday, May 13th from 9a-7p at the church. Find everything from infant to teen clothing, toys, books, games, and more.  

    3. Habitat Hammer and Nails Event
      5:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      Mcleod County Habitat for Humanity has their Hammer and Nails Fundraising event on Friday, May 13th from 5:30-9 pm at the Crow River Golf Club of Hutchinson. It’s an evening of Dinner, music, auctions, raffles, and games. Tickets are $45 and available at the Habitat office or by calling 587-8868

    1. Fishing Opener Breakfast
      6:00 am – 11:00 am

      The Dassel Rod and Gun Club invites you to their Fishing Opener Breakfast on Saturday, May 14th from 6-11a at Sportsmens Park on Lake Washington. All you can eat French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, and Beverage. Adults are $8, Children under 12 are $4.  

    2. Mail Carrier Food Drive
      7:15 am – 8:15 am

      The National Association of Letter Carriers will be conducting their 24th annual Food Drive. Mail customers in Glencoe and Hutchinson are asked to place non perishable food items next to their mail boxes on Saturday, May 14th and their mail carriers will pick them up. All donations will be delivered to the Mcleod Emergency Food Shelf.

    1. Law Enforcement Ceremony
      4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      Everyone is invited to a Law Enforcement Week Ceremony on Sunday, May 15th at 4 pm at the Masonic West River Park Bandshell in Hutchinson. The 1 hour ceremony will honor and support the brave men and women who serve our communities. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets please.

    1. Band Practices
      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Greater Gibbon Area Uncommon Band of Renown will rehearse for the Gibbon Memorial Day Service on Tuesday, May 17th and 24th. Practices will be held at GFW Elementary School gym beginning at 7:30pm. Players of any band instrument and all levels of talent are invited to join us.       The next meeting of the Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary will be on Wednesday, May 18th at the Hutchinson VFW Post.

    1. CTK Rummage Sale
      9:00 am – 12:00 pm

      Christ the King Lutheran Church invites you to their Rummage Sale Thursday, May 19th-Saturday, May 21st. Hours Thursday and Friday are 9a-6p, and Saturday is 9a-Noon…plus Saturday is Bag Day. Most items and clothing priced at .50 cents.  

    2. Food Shelf BoardMeeting
      9:30 am – 11:00 am

      The McLeod Emergency Food Shelf Board of Directors Annual Meeting is scheduled for 9:30 AM Thursday, May 19 with the regular meeting to follow. Both meetings will be held at MEFS – Hutchinson Site, located at 498 Hwy 7 E, Hutchinson, MN. The Annual Meeting is open to the public and is a great opportunity to meet the current Board of Directors as well hear the accomplishments of 2015 and the vision for 2016 and beyond. Refreshments will be served.

      The Glencoe VFW Auxiliary presents their Poppy Luncheon on Thursday, May 19th from 11a-1p at their Post Home. Serving Turkey Salad, Fresh Fruit, Pickles, Roll, Bars and Coffee for $7. Take outs available, for delivery call 320-864-5992

      8:00 am – 4:00 pm

      New Journey UCC of Hutchinson holds their rummage sale on Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21. All items are 50 cents, unless marked. Hours Friday 8a-4p and Saturday 9a-Noon.  

    2. Huls Benefit
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      You are invited to a Spaghetti Feed Benefit for Rick Huls on Friday, May 20th from 4-7 pm at the BLHS Hector Campus. You can also shop the Silent Auction and Bake Sale. Proceeds benefit Huls’ battle with Cancer.  

    3. Dance Marathon
      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      McLeod County Relay for the Life Team “From Pennys to Dollars” is hosting a 2 hour Glow in the Dark aerobic dance marathon that promises to be a great time. On Friday, May 20th from 7-9pm at Park Elementary Gym. Admission is $15 in advance  - register at Celebrate Dance, Fitness, and Wellness Center or from any member of our Relay Team  - or $20 at the door. Children 10 and under are $10. There will be door prizes and additional glow accessories to purchase at the event.

    1. HOMN Benefit Walk
      9:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The Heart of MN Animal Shelter has their Paws on Parade Benefit Walk on Saturday, May 21st at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson. Registration is at 9 am, Walk begins at 10 am. Enjoy Food, Contests, Silent Auction, Demos, Vendors, Entertainment, Pet Portraits and more throughout the event. $5 Registration fee, and that qualifies you for drawings.  

    2. Studebaker Day
      1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      The Wright County Car Club presents Studebaker Day at MN Pioneer Park in Annandale on Saturday, May 21st from 1-3 pm. Free Admission for Classic Vehicles, and Museum Buildings are open.

    3. Rib Fest and Pork Chop Dinner
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      mmanuel Lutheran Church of New Auburn will be hosting its first annual rib fest on Saturday, May 21 beginning at 4:30 until ribs are gone.  $2.00 per bone.  $200 first place award.  Contact Aaron to enter at 952-212-1815. There will be food, beer, music, and a bounce house for kids. Then On Sunday May 22 beginning at 10:30 am Immanuel Lutheran Church of New Auburn will also be hosting a pork chop dinner with scalloped potatoes and baked beans.  $10 per plate, under age 5 are free.  The proceeds from both of these events will go toward paying the debt on the church’s new addition.

      Dassel Fire and Rescue is hosting a French Toast Breakfast on Sunday, May 22nd from 8a-12:30p at the Dassel Fire Station. Free Will Donation for French Toast, Eggs, Knaus, Smoked Sausage and Fruit.

      Harmony River Auxiliary meeting, Monday, May 23 at 2:00 in the Lower Level conference room at Harmony River Living Center.

    2. Brain Injury Benefit
      5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Retro Ron will be performing on Monday, May 23 ( 5- 8 PM)  at Glencoe’s Unhinged Pizza, plus Unhinged Pizza will donate a portion of their BUFFET sales to help support MN Brain Injury Force’s ( MNBIF) programs and services for survivors. Two area brain injured veterans will share the TIPS that the public donates during that time. Contact MN Brain Injury Force for more information on how you can support area brain injury survivors / veterans!

    1. Cardiac Rehab Walk
      10:30 am – 12:00 pm

      Join the Cardiac Rehab Walk from 10:30a-Noon on Tuesday, May 24th at the Hutchinson Mall. All are welcome, and past and present cardiac rehab patients are encouraged to come. There will be giveaways, Door Prizes, Heart Healthy Snacks, and more!

    1. Food for Kidz Packing
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      There is a Food for Kidz Packaging Event on Wednesday, May 25 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Hutchinson. Event open to everyone of all ages and you work as teams in packaging nutritious meals for hungry children and their families. A light lunch is provided during the eventand you can Come at any time and stay as long as you want.
