    1. Halloween Party
      5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      The Brownton Lions Club is sponsoring its annual Halloween party for kids in sixth grade and under on Monday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the Brownton Community Center. There is an entrance fee, which will be donated to the McLeod Emergency Food Shelf. Noah’s Ark Preschool will be serving lunch as a fundraiser. The Lions also will be collecting used eyeglasses and hearing aids to be donated to Lions International.

    1. Veterans Event
      5:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      All Veterans and a guest are invited to an appreciation dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 1st at the Hutchinson VFW. 5:30 pm Social Hour, 6 pm Dinner, and 7 pm Speaker. Speaking at the event is 26 year Veteran Terry Banham of Lakeville. You must RSVP by October 25th to info@newerafinancial.com or 587-0459.

      St. John’s LWML presents their Chili and Pie Luncheon on Friday, Nov. 4th from 10a-1p at St. John’s Fellowship Hall in Winsted. Cost is a Free Will Offering, with proceeds benefiting church Missions.

      Harmony River Auxiliary’s Fall Extravaganza is coming up on Saturday, Nov. 5th from 9a-2p at Harmony River. Arts, Crafts, Baked Goods and more! No Admission Charge. Lunch available in the Cafe.  

    2. St. Andrew’s Fall Bazaar
      9:00 am – 1:00 pm

      You’re invited to attend the annual Fall Bazaar and Road to Bethlehem Nativity Displays at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church of Fairfax on Saturday, Nov. 5th from 9a-1p. Apple Dumplings, Cinnamon Rolls and Caramel Rolls are served at 9 am, Soup and Sandwich Luncheon served from 10:30a-1p. Crafts, Baked Goods, Raffle Items, and much more will be available.

    3. Uffda Day
      9:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Atwater presents Uffda Day on Saturday, Nov. 5th from 9a-Noon. Enjoy a Scandinavian meal of an Open Faced Sandwich, Wild Rice Soup, fruit soup, Rommegrot, lefse and specialty cookies. Also shop the crafts, Gift Boutique, Bake Sale and more!

    4. Lutefisk Dinner
      11:00 am – 7:00 pm

      Scandian Grove Lutheran Church of Norseland is holding their Lutefisk and Meatball Supper on Saturday, Nov. 5th. Serving from 11a-2p and 4-7p. Cost is $18 for adults, and $6 for kids 6-12.  

    5. Poultry Party
      5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Stewart American Legion has their Poultry Party and Raffle on Saturday, Nov. 5th at Cactus Jacks II starting at 5:30 pm. Free BBQ’s and Beer from 6:30-8p. Take part in the Raffle and Paddle Wheel. Proceeds support US Veterans.

    1. Church Vendor and Craft Fair
      10:00 am – 2:00 pm

      St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany is having their annual Holiday Boutique, Vendor & Craft Fair on Sunday, November 6th from 10am-2pm.  35 local vendors and crafters will be there for Christmas shopping.  A soup and sandwich lunch is available for purchase.

      Help raise money for the Hutchinson Wrestling Club on Monday, Nov. 7th at Buffalo Wild Wings in Hutchinson. BWW will donate 15% of your total bill from 11a-9p.

      Everyone is invited to the Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the First Congregational Church of Glencoe on Thursday, Nov. 24th. Serving at Noon, No Charge but a free will offering will be accepted. RSVP to 320-864-3855 (by 11/16 if possible)

      The Brownton Congregational Church will hold their Community Dinner on Wednesday, November 9th from 5-7 pm with a free will offering. The Dinner is hosted the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

    1. St. John’s Craft and Bake Sale
      8:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Women of St. John’s Catholic Church in Hector is holding their annual Craft and Bake Sale on Saturday, Nov 12th from 8a-1p at the BLHS Small gym in Hector. Rolls will be served from 8a-11a and a BBQ lunch from 11a-1p. You can also take part in the raffle. Everyone is welcome!

    2. Habitat for Humanity Dedication

      Mcleod County Habitat for Humanity invites you to it’s  24th Habitat Home Dedication Celebration to be held Saturday, November 12th at 10:00 at the house located at 504 Hilltop Dr. NE, Hutchinson, MN.

      All Saints Lutheran Church of Darwin has a “Chili for the Soul” Luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 12th from 11a-1p. Serving Chili, Breadsticks, Bars and Beverage for $7, Children 10 and under $4

    4. Uecker Fundraiser
      2:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      It’s a Spaghetti Supper and Silent Auction Fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 12th from 2-8 pm at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson. Proceeds will benefit the Jaden Uecker family. Jaden suffers from Marfan Syndrome and needs heart surgery soon.  

    5. Wood Carver Program
      5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Hutchinson Sons of Norway invite you on Saturday, November 12th at 5:30p to CrossPoint Church in Hutchinson. Don Fischer, a wood carver from Cottonwood, MN will demonstrate various carving tools and how they are used as he shows the progression of steps involved in carving a Scandinavian figure of a horse. Various types of carvings will be displayed. A light supper will be served. Free will donation.

      The Hector Lioness club is holding their Omelet Breakfast on Sunday, Nov. 13th from 9a-12:30p at the Hector Methodist Church. Proceeds from the event will be used in the community.

      The Cosmos Legion is hosting Breakfast on Sunday, Nov. 13th from 10a-1p. Serving Potato Pancakes, Meats, Eggs, and a Beverage for just a free will offering.

    3. Turkey Dinner

      Join St. Mary CCW for their annual Turkey Dinner at the Church of St. Mary in Arlington on Sunday, Nov. 13th from 10a-1p. Serving Turkey, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce and more! Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 4-10. Also don’t forget to try their raffle!

      Harmony Circle of Brownton Congregational Church presents their annual Hot Dish Sunday on Sunday, Nov. 13th from 10:30a-1p. Adults are $8, Children are $4, and 3 and under eat free, plus Veterans eat Free. Take Outs available.

      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Green Isle is hosting their Soup and Sandwich Luncheon on Sunday, Nov. 13th from 10:30a-1p. On the menu is Chili, Chicken Noodle Soup, Cream of Broccoli, and Wild Rice Soups, along with Egg Salad and Ham Sandwiches. Cost is $8 for adults, Children 6-10 are $4, and under 5 is free. Proceeds uses for missions and church projects.

      Bethel Lutheran Church,77 Lincoln Ave N,Lester Prairie,Mn is having a Chili Feed &Silent Auction,Sunday,November13th  4p-6p Serving Chili,Chili Topping ,another soup.Bread-Beverage    $7.00 /Adults Children under 5 free.  Silent Auction -Proceeds to Kathy Young for medical expenses.   Homemade Lefse will also be available to purchase.

      November 16th will be the next Regular meeting for the Hutchinson Unit 96 American Legion Auxiliary, at the Hutchinson VFW Post 906 at 7pm.  They welcome all Auxiliary members to attend.

    1. Renville County Historical Program
      6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Join Adrian Lee, paranormal investigator, author, psychic and radio host for an evening of ghostly tales at the Renville County Historical Society of Morton on Thursday, Nov. 17th. Lee has spent the summer investigating haunted locations in Renville County including the Morton School, Museum Grounds, Bechyn, Danube Depot and more! He will share his findings with video evidence, audio recordings, photographs and history. Cost is $5, plus an item for the Renville County Food Shelf. Proceeds benefit the Renville County Historical Society. Refreshments served after presentation. RSVP to 507-697-6147.
