    1. Archery Ministry
      1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

      Members and friends of Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake will be starting their next session of an archery ministry called Centershot for ages 7 and up. Centershot is a Bible-based archery ministry that consists of a 45 minute Bible study and 45 minutes of archery instruction one day a week for 8 weeks.  The church provides the bows and arrows which are used during the training sessions in the church basement shooting range.  Participants pay a nominal fee to help cover the cost of the study book.  The next session of Centershot will begin Sunday, January 28 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Space is limited so those interested in finding out more are encouraged to contact the church office (320)327-2352.

      You are invited to the Pizza Ranch of Hutchinson for a fundraiser for Hutchinson Boys Basketball on Monday, January 29th from 4-8 pm. Eat in or Delivery available.

    1. Spaghetti Supper
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Church has their annual Spaghetti Supper on Friday, February 2nd from 5-7 pm. Serving Pasta Bar, Salad, Garlic Bread, and Sundae for a Free Will Donation. Proceeds go to a new projector screen for the church.

    1. Winterfest
      10:00 am – 4:00 pm

      Mcleod for Tomorrow’s annual Winterfest is Saturday, February 3rd at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds from 10a-4p. Enjoy Dog Sled Rides, Wagon Rides, Ice Skating and other winter sports! The U of M Raptor Center has presentations at 11 am and 1 pm. Meet the Frozen Characters!  

    2. Pie and Ice Cream Sale
      11:00 am – 7:00 pm

      The LWML of Emanuel Lutheran Church will host a pie & ice cream sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, at the Hamburg Hunting and Fishing Club Fish Fry. Proceeds will be used for LWML projects and missions. Supplemental funds by Thrivent Financial.

    1. Potato Pancake and Sausage Dinner
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      The First Lutheran Mens Club of Glencoe has their annual All you care to eat Potato Pancake and Sausage Dinner on Sunday, February 4th from 9a-2p at the church. Cost is $10 for adults, Children 4-12 are $5, and 3 and under are free.  

    2. Sleepy Eye Sportsmens Club
      12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      The Sleepy Eye Sportsmens Club has their Ice Fishing Derby on Sunday, February 4th from 12-3 pm on Sleepy Eye Lake. Registration starts at 9:30 am. Cash Prizes given out, Raffles and more! Proceeds go to Local Parks and Lake Projects.

      The Zion United Methodist Church of Buffalo Lake has their annual Turkey Supper on Wednesday, February 7th from 4:30-7:30pm. Eat in or Take Out Meals served. Adults are $10, 5-11 year olds are $5.

    1. Cedar Mills Gun Club Family Fun Day
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Cedar Mills Gun Club’s annual Family Fun Day is Saturday, Feb 10th starting at 11 am at the Club. Enjoy Wood Duck House Building for Kids, Food Pop and Beer available to purchase, Bingo, Raffles and more!  

    2. Ham Dinner
      4:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      There will be a  ham dinner, meat raffle, bingo Sat Feb 10th at St Mary’s Catholic Church Waverly. Dinner will be served from 4:00 till 7:30 pm. Meal includes sliced ham, scalloped potatoes, salad, vegetable, rolls, desert and beverage. Cost will be adults $10, 4 to 7 $5 and under 4 free. Take outs available.  Meat raffle starts at 4:30 followed by Bingo at 7:30. Sponsored by the Waverly Knights of Columbus. Proceed for Hall maintenance as a community facility.

    1. Flapjack Festival
      8:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The Hector Lions Club All you can eat Flapjack Festival is on Sunday, Feb 11th from 8a-Noon at the Hector Community Center. For a Free Will donation get Flapjacks with fresh fruit toppings, french toast, sausage, and beverage. Proceeds support the BLHS School Safety Patrol Reward Day.

    1. Renville Corn and Soybean Annual Meeting
      5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Renville County Corn and Soybean Growers annual meeting is Monday, Feb 12th at Jackpot Junction of Morton. Social hour at 5:30 pm, Meal at 6 pm. Dinner is free to all members, if you want to become a member, registration is available at dinner. RSVP to Doug at 320-579-0103.

      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      The GSL ECFE invites kids ages 1 to Kindergarten entry to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, Feb 13th at their Early Childhood Learning Center. Join them for a variety of activities from 10:30-11:30am or 6-7 pm. Register by calling the ECFE office at 320-864-2681

    2. Dad Belgian Waffle Feed
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      Enjoy a Dad’s Belgian Waffle Feed on Tuesday, Feb 13th at the Holy Trinity School Cafeteria in Winsted from 4:30-7:30 pm. All you can eat Waffles and toppings, sausage, and beverage. You can also take part in the Silent Auction. Tickets are $7 in advance ($7.50 at the door), kids 5 and under eat free.  

    3. Caps for Kids with Chemotherapy
      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Help the EVW and Paynesville FFA’s collect Caps for Kids with Chemotherapy on Tuesday, Feb 13th at the Boys Basketball game that night at EVW. Any style of hat is accepted as long as it is a NEW hat. Caps will be donated to the U of M Masonic Children’s Hospital. Monetary Donations are also accepted

    1. Lenten Soup Suppers
      5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Each Wednesday night (beginning February 14th) during the Lenten season Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake will hold a 5:30 pm Soup Supper (free-will offering) served by members of the Living Water Puppets Team.  The meal will be followed by a 7:00 pm church service.  This year’s Lenten theme is “Miracles” and will involve an examination of  selected passages found in the Bible. Dr. Tom Rakow will kick off the series with a message titled “What is a Miracle?” Other speakers for this series will include various members of the church board.   The public is invited to attend.

      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Band and Choir students of Lakeside Elementary will be presenting their Winter Concert on Thursday, February 15 th , at 7 p.m. in the Lakeside Elementary School Gym in Silver Lake. Please join them for a night filled with a variety of music.

      The Plato Fish Fry is Friday, Feb 16th at the Plato Hall beginning at 3 pm. Serving Fish, Potato Salad, Chips, Beans and more. Cost is $11 for adults, $5 for children, Preschool age is free. Take outs available. Proceeds benefit the Fire Dept Relief Assn.

    2. Kimball Fish Fry
      4:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      The Kimball Lions Fish Friday is Friday, Feb 16th from 4-7:30 pm at Generations Ballroom. Adults are $9, Children under 12 is $4, and 5 and under are free.

    1. Dads Belgian Waffles
      9:30 am – 12:30 pm

      Sunday March 18th the Montrose Methodist Church is hosting its annual Dad’s Belgian Waffle breakfast and silent auction at the Community Center in Montrose from9:30 am until 12:30 pm.  Menu includes waffles, sausage, strawberries, flavored syrup, coffee, milk & orange juice.  All you care to eat – take-outs available.  Your ticket purchase will automatically enter you in a door prize drawing valued at $100.  (must be 18 years or older and need not be present to win) Adults $8, Kids 6-12 $5, under 5 free.  Proceeds benefit FE+ED & other ministries of outreach/caring.

      The Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary Unit 96 would like to announce that the Department of Minnesota President Donna Arends will be speaking at the February 21 st Regular meeting at 7pm, at Hutchinson VFW Post 906. We would like to invite all area Auxiliary members to attend. Dinner is available for purchase at the Post at 6pm.

      The Crow River Youth Choir has their “Turn the world around” Concert on Thursday, Feb 22nd starting at 7 pm at the Park Elementary School Auditorium in Hutchinson. Cost is $4 for adults, $5 for a family.

    2. Year End Banquet

      The Tri County Riders have their Year End Banquet on Saturday, Feb 24th at the Mayer Community Hall. 5 pm Social Hour, 6 pm Meal, 8 pm Program. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children. Take the time to Mingle with fellow club members, pay your 2018 dues, and check out the Silent Auction.  

    3. Beer Bust Fundraiser
      6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      The 4th annual Beer Bust Fundraiser and Dinner will be Saturday, Feb 24th from 6-10 pm at the King Pin Pub in Plato. Proceeds raised support MN Canine Search, Rescue and Tracking. Help bring home he lost and missing while listening to DJ Dr. Fun and taking part in the Silent Auction.

      Support Veterans with a Breakfast Buffet at Mug Shots in Cosmos on Sunday, Feb 25th from 9a-Noon. Free Will Donation supports Veterans, their familes, and communities. 

    2. Wild Game Feed
      5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Members and friends of the Grace Bible Church of Silver Lake will be hosting  a special Wild Game Feed on Sunday, February 25th beginning at 5:30 pm.  The evening will include such things as: alligator, venison, a variety of pheasant dishes (as well as other wild and not so wild game), door prizes, a “Bird Dog Parade”, and guest speaker River Dan (Dan Ryks). Dan is a passionate Walleye guide (www.riverdansguideservice.com) whose story has been featured on Ron Schara’s  Minnesota Bound TV show.  Cost is a $5 dollar donation per ticket and may be purchased, or reserved by calling the church office (320)327-2352.  The public is invited to attend, and only a limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
