    1. NCA Spaghetti Dinner
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      New Century Academy’s competitive Robotics team is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Thursday, March 20th from 5p-7p at the school in Hutchinson (east of 3M on 5th Ave).  The menu consists of Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Lettuce Salad, Breadstick, Dessert and Beverages.  Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door and are $6/person or $3 for children age 10 and under.

    1. Art Presentation
      9:00 am – 10:00 am

      Students are invited to Martin Luther High School, Northrop for an Art Adventure Presentation given by MLHS students who were trained at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, studying the theme “Family, Friends and Foes.” They will use reproductions of the original art work in their presentations. Sessions are: Friday, March 21st 9:00 a.m.for students in grades 7-12 and Tuesday, March 25th at 11:00 a.m. for students in grades 1-8.     2. Lake Lillian Smelt Fry
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The United Lutheran Church of Lake Lillian is having their Smelt Fry on Friday March 21st.  Serving all you can eat from 4-7 pm.  Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-12, and 5 and under free.  

    3. Cosmos Legion Fish Fry
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      Fish Fry at the Cosmos Legion is coming up on Friday, March 21st from 4:30 pm until gone.  All you can eat Pollack, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Baked Potato, Bread and Beverage.  Cost is $10 for adult, $5 for child under 12.

    4. Benefit Wine and Beer Tasting
      5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Join Team Hunt for a Cure for a Wine and Beer Tasting on Friday, March 21st from 5-8 pm at the Crow River Winery of Hutchinson.  Cost is $10 for wine tasting, $2 for beer special.  There will also be games to win prizes.  Proceeds raised go to the team, who is participating in the 3 day 60 mile Walk in August.

      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      You’re invited to the 28th annual Mcleod County Spring Pheasants Forever Banquet on Saturday, March 22nd at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.  Cackling Hour at 4 pm, Dinner at 6 pm, Events at 7 pm.  There will be a raffle, special auction items, and more.       St. John’s Lutheran Church of Hollywood is having their Beef Dinner on Sunday, March 23 from 11a-1:30p at the church.  Free Will Offering is taken, proceeds benefit the anniversary fund.  

    2. Antiquie Appraisal and Preservation Fundraiser
      1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      It’s time for the Mcleod County Historical Society’s Annual Antique Appraisal and Preservation Fundraiser.  The event will be from 1-3 pm on Sunday, March 23rd at the Museum in Hutchinson.  $3 admission or $7 per appraisal item.  Local experts will be on hand to Appraise your items or teach you how to preserve them for the future.  More info at mcleodhistory.org

    3. Down with Diabetes Meeting
      1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

      The newly formed Down with Diabetes Alliance is looking to bring together concerned citizens committed to helping locals affected by diabetes.  If you know of or care for someone dealing with this difficult disease and you want to find fun and interesting ways to raise funds and help please join them for an informational meeting: Sunday March 23rd  at 1pm at The Coffee Company in Hutchinson.

    4. 4 day mission
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Shepherd of Souls Area Faith Community will host a four-day mission at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Litchfield from Sunday, March 23rd – Wednesday, March 26th.  Fr. Greg Schimdtt, a redemptorist priest from Chicago, will speak on the theme, Renew Us O Lord. All are invited.  Each evening will begin with a soup and sandwich supper at 6 pm, followed by Fr. Schmidtt’s presentation at 7 pm.  Call St. Philips’s (320-693-3313) for info on childcare or transportation to the event.

      8:15 am – 5:00 pm

      Bethel Lutheran Church of Lester Prairie will have a Paper Drive, March 24-April 11th at the Church Parking Lot.  Items to be collected include: Newspaper, magazines, catalogs, phone books, cardboard  and anything paper.  Please no Strings, ropes or plastic around the paper,  PIZZA BOXES WITH FOOD WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Questions please call Church Office

      Harmony River auxiliary meeting will be Monday, March 24 at 2:00 in the lower level conference room at Harmony River Living Center.

      The Silver Lake Lions Club will host its annual Sausage Supper on Thursday, March 27 @ Silver Lake Auditorium-Serving 4:30-7:00 PM- Cost $7.50 Adults-$3.50 Children 4-12 and under 3- Free- Proceeds will go to the Silver Lake Fire Dept.

    1. Cedar Mills Fish Fry
      11:00 am – 11:45 pm

      The Cedar Mills Gun Cub presents their 48th annual Fish Fry on Friday, March 28th at their clubhouse.  Serving from 11 am until gone is Alsaskan Pollock, French Fries, Potato Salad, Beans, Cole Slaw, and more!  Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for ages 6-12, and free for 5 and under.  Raffle Tickets on sale at the event, including a half hog and 5 guns.  Music from 8-Midnight from the Wagon Wheelers.

      8:00 am – 11:00 am

      The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Glencoe is hosting a garage sale on Saturday, March 29th from 8 am – 11 am at the church.  

    2. Foster Parent Orientation
      9:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Mcleod County Social Services is hosting a Foster Parent Orientation for anyone interested in becoming foster parents.  The Orientation is scheduled for Saturday, March 29th from 9a-3p at the Mcleod County Health and Human Services building in Glencoe.  This meeting is an opportunity to learn about the foster program and ask questions, to decide if becoming a foster parent is right for you.  Contact Brenda at 320-864-3144 for more info or to register.  

    3. Dollars for Detty
      4:00 pm – 11:00 pm

      The Dollars for “Detty” benefit is coming up on Saturday, March 29th from 4-11 pm at the Hamburg Community Hall.  Walking Tacos served for dinner with a free will offering from 4-8 pm, Silent Auction and Bucket Raffle also from 4-8 pm and music by RagTown from 6-10 pm.  Proceeds benefit the medical care of Jeff Dettmann of NYA.  

    4. Christenson Family Benefit
      5:00 pm – 1:00 am

      You are invited to the Christenson Family Benefit on Saturday, March 29 at Neisen’s Bar and Grill of Biscay.  There will be a Taco Feed and Bake Sale from 5-8 pm, Free Beer from 7-8 pm, Silent Auction and Raffle from 5-9 pm, and music from the Eddie Mac Band from 9 pm – 1 am.  Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.  Proceeds benefit the family, who lost their home in Cologne, January, to a fire.

      The Plato Lions are holding their 31st annual Spring Brunch on Sunday, March 30th from 9 am – Noon at the Plato Hall.  All you can eat Pancakes, Sausage, Eggs, Toast, and Beverage.  Free will donations accepted with proceeds going to the food shelf.  

    2. Luce Line RR club Program
      1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Museum is hosting a program on the Luce Line Railroad Club on Sunday, March 30th at 1 pm.  Learn about club history, see model displays and videos, and learn about toy train repair.  Refreshments served after the program.  

    3. Forest City Pancake and Sausage Supper
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      St. Gertrude’s of Forest City Mens Group will be serving their annual pancake and sausage supper on Sunday, March 30th from 4-7 pm at the church.  Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for children under 12 with an adult, and under 6 is free.  Also you can stop at the Parish Bake Sale that day.

    1. Glencoe Preservation Society fundraiser
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Glencoe Preservation Society will be busing tables for tips and Unhinged Pizza in Glencoe from 4-8 pm on Monday, March 31st.  Proceeds raised will go towards furnishing the kitchen in the historic room at the Glencoe City Center.

    1. Pet Supply Drive
      9:00 am – 10:00 am

      Minnesota Municipal Beverage Association & Miller Lite, together with the Liquor Hutch ask you to bring Cat or Dog food, leashes, blankets, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, cash or oher items. All donations will go to the Hutchinson Heart of MN Animal Shelter. For a full “Wish List” of items  or to drop your donations go to the Liquor Hutch.  Supplies drive starts April 1st and runs until April 30, 2014.  

    2. Renville County Grief Support Group
      5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      Renville County Hospice is sponsoring their Spring Good Grief Support Group, starting April 1st and running Tuesday evenings until May 20th.  The Group goes from 5:30 – 7:30 pm each Tuesday at the RC Hosptial’s Willette Room in Olivia.  Admission is free.  To register call 320-523-3451.  The group is for anyone who has gone through or experienced the loss of a loved one.

      The Hutchinson Theatre Company presents “The Big Five-Oh” on April 3-5 and April 10-12 at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts.  Shows at 7 pm each night.  Tickets are $18 per person and available online (hutchtheatre.org) or in Person at the Center or the Hutchinson Chamber and Tourism Office.

      St. Pauls United Church of Christ in Plato is hosting their Salad Luncheon on Friday, April 4th from 11a-1p.  Cost is $8 for th luncheon, Cookbooks available for $6.  

    2. BL Fish Fry
      11:30 am – 7:00 pm

      It’s a Fish Fry at the Buffalo Lake Fire Hall sponsored by the BL Lions.  Serving from 11:30 am – 7 pm Or until gone.  Take Outs available, All you can eat Alaskan Pollack, Potato Wedges, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw and more!  Cost is $9 in advance, $10 at the door, ages 6-12 are $4, and under 5 is free.

    3. Cologne Fish Fry
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Zion Lutheran Church of Cologne has their All you can Eat Fish Fry on Friday, April 4th from 4-8 pm.  Also on the menu is scalloped potatoes, cole slaw, and sweets.  Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 5-10 years of age, and under 4 eat for free.  

    4. CR Singers present Viva Italia
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Crow River Singers present Viva Italia, featuring songs from Italian composers and other favorites on April 4th and 6th.  The concert on the 4th will start at 7 pm at the First Congregational UCC of Hutchinson, while the concer on the 6th will be at 2 pm at Peace Lutheran Church.  Admission is $7, under 12 is free.  Refreshments are served

    1. Emmaus Gift Shop Spring Fling
      8:30 am – 10:00 am

      The Emmaus Gift Shop of Litchfield will hold their spring fling on Saturday, April 5th.  The Gift Shop will offer 10% discount on all items, Brunch is served from 8:30-10 am ($5.50 cost).  Everyone is welcome.
