    1. NYA Memorial Day Service
      10:00 am – 11:00 am

      The Memorial Day Service in Norwood Young America will be at 10 am on Monday, May 29th at Central High School.  

    2. Darwin Memorial Day Program
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      The Darwin Lakes Area Memorial Day Program will be Monday, May 29th at 10:30a at the Hantge Funeral Chapel in Darwin. Speaker is Tom Hauer, Darwin Resident and Army Veteran.

    1. Fitness Equipment open house
      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      Test out the new fitness equipment at Rotary Park in Hutchinson Thursday, June 1st from 6:30-8p with help from the America’s Fitness Center Instructorts. The event is free and open to the public. There will also be additional Family activities, giveways and more!

    1. Bike Rodeo
      10:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The Carver County Sheriff’s Office is holding their Bike Rodeo on Saturday, June 3rd at the Church of Peace in NYA from 10a-Noon. The event is for kids ages 8-10 to learn about Bike Safety and complete the Obstacle Course. Free Bike Helmet given to the first 50 Kids.

    1. Winthrop Music in the Park
      5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Music in the Winthrop Park is Thursday, June 8th. Bob and the Beachcombers perform from 5-6:30 pm, then the Leon Olson Band from 6:30-8pm. Refreshments available. Bring your lawn chairs!

      The Bear Lake Sunshine Society is having their annual Sale on Friday, June 9th from 9a-5p at Northwoods Park in Hutchinson. Stop by for Baked Good and Plants!

    1. Sea Side Service
      9:30 am – 11:00 am

      Members and friends of Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake invite you to experience and participate in a unique outdoor worship service.  On Sunday, June 11th, at 9:30 am a specialSea Side Service  held at Swan Lake (north side—next to the pier). The service is reflective of the times when Jesus preached from a boat on the Sea of Galilee. This worship event includes: A message preached from a boat, and congregational singing.  Dress is casual, and those who attend are asked to bring their own lawn chairs or a blanket.  You are also welcome to join us with your boat. Swan Lake is located about one mile northwest of Silver Lake on County Rd. 16. To get there go to Highway 7, and turn west and take County Road 16 (north). In the case of inclement weather the service will be held at the church building.

      Stop out to Lion’s Burger Night and Dairy Day in Plato at the Park from 4-7 pm. Burgers, Chips and Beverage served, Free Ice Cream, and Pinske Edge Tours run hourly from 3-6 pm.  

    2. June Brain Boosting Workshop
      6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

      The MN Brain Injury Force has their latest Brain Boosting Workshop on Thursday, June 15 at 6 pm at Hutchinson Health Hospital Room F. This Month…Daliane Remes, Legal Advocate for the MN Disability Law Center will speak about legal services, resources and more. More info at MNBIF.org

      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Lester Prairie Royalty Program is having their Annual Garbers Grill Out on June 16 and 23 from 11-1 at Garber Meats in Lester Prairie. They will be serving cheese burgers with fixings, pop, and water for $5.00! Don’t forget to get your serving of dairy with an ice cream sandwich for $1.00. Come on out and enjoy lunch and get to know the Lester Prairie Ambassadors and the 2017 Ambassador Candidates.

    1. Dairy Eating Contest
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      The annual Dairy Eating contest will be held on June 20 at 6:00 PM in the Central Park in Lester Prairie. Children in grades 3 and 4, and 5 and 6 are invited to come and enjoy cheese and milk. The top 3 at each level will be awarded $10.00 in Dairy Dollars to be used at the Prairie Market.

    1. Midsummer Festival
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Join Swedlanda Lutheran Church of Hector for a Midsummer’s Festival Wednesday, June 21. An Ice-Cream Social will be held from 4:30 – 7:00 pm, with pulled pork sandwiches, beans, potato salad, pie, and home-made ice cream. A program will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature the music of Allen and Matt Carlson. Call 320-848-2490 for further information.

    1. Ray Wilkens Memorial Golf Tournament
      1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Ray Wilkens Memorial Golf Scramble will be Friday, June 23rd starting at 1 pm to benefit the Mcleod County Veterans Association. The event is at the Glencoe Country Club, to register contact Chad at 952-454-2741 or Bryan at 612-636-2977.  

    2. Fried Chicken Dinner
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The United Lutheran Church of Lake Lillian is holding a Chicken Dinner on Friday, June 23rd from 5-7 pm. Adults are $11, 12 and under are $5. Serving Don’s Fried Chicken, Potatoes, Beans, Coleslaw and more!

    2. Kari’s Kause
      1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      Stop in to the Kari’s Kause benefit on Saturday, June 24th at the Silver Lake Auditorium from 1-5 pm. Enjoy a Bean Bag tournament, Kids Games, Bake Sale, Raffles, Silent Auction, Live Music and more! Proceeds benefit Kari Eischen’s medical expenses as she fights brain surgeries and aneurysms. 

    3. Swedefest
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Bernadotte Lutheran Church of Lafayette will host Swedefest on Saturday, June 24th. The events begin at 4 pm with a Swedish Mid Summer Picnic, Silent Auction, horse drawn wagon rides and more. Entertainment includes the Rickeims from Winthrop, Carver Creek Bluegrass, and Gerry and Carol Larson from New Ulm.  

    4. Ice Cream Social
      4:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      Peace Lutheran Church of Hutchinson has an Ice Cream Social on Saturday, June 24th from 4:30-6pm. On the menu us Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Sloppy Joe’s, Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Pie, Ice Cream and more! Polka Service with Chuck Thiel and the Jolly Ramblers starting at 6:15 pm.

      You are invited to a Breakfast Benefit for Todd Uecker on Sunday, June 25th from 9a-12:30p at the Stewart Fire Hall. Serving all youc an eat pancakes, sausages, Scrambled Eggs and more for a free will offering. Todd has Marfan Syndrome and proceeds will benefit his medical expenses.  

    2. Commemorative Service

      The Palmyra Swedish Methodist Church of Hector is holding it’s annual Commemorative Service on Sunday, June 25th at 2 pm. Potluck Lunch will be served after the service.  

    3. Patriotic Service
      7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Join the Brownton Congregational Church for a Patriotic Service on Sunday, June 25th at 7 pm. Refreshments to follow.

      St Paul’s Lutheran Church of Hector has their Ice Cream Social on wednesday, June 28th from 5-7 pm.Free Will Donation for BBQ’s, Turkey Sandwiches, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Pie and Ice Cream. Entertainment at 7 pm featuring local Country Singer/Songwriter Ed Newberg in Concert.  

    2. Glencoe Music in the Park
      6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Glencoe’s Music in the Park Series begins Wednesday, June 28th at Oak Leaf Park. Carver Creek is performing at 6:30 pm. Food Served from 6-7 pm, with a Shredded Beef Sandwich, Chips, Pickles, Dessert and Beverage for a nominal fee by the Glencoe Lions. Proceeds go to Community Projects.

      Enjoy the Lake Waconia Fireworks Festival on Tuesday, July 4th. Fireworks over Lake Waconia at dusk.

      The next Glencoe Music in the Park Concert is coming up Wednesday, July 5th at Oak Leaf Park. Performing is Jim and Mike Wendolek starting at 6:30 pm. A Mr. Rib Pork Sandwich meal served for a nominal fee from 6-7 pm. Proceeds go to local Community Projects.
