−PACER Center Program6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
PACER Center will offer “Transitioning to Employment,” a free workshop for parents of youth with disabilities and for professionals. It will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28 at the Days Inn, Hutchinson. This workshop will provide information on career exploration and planning, including information about agencies that provide independent living, financial, and employment services and supports. Parents will gain knowledge about how to help prepare their youth for employment and life skills after high school. Parents of students in ninth grade and above are encouraged to attend. Participants will receive a packet of helpful information and resources. −Tiger Family Fun Day9:30 am – 10:00 pm
Hutchinson HS is hosting Tiger Time Family Fun Day on Saturday, Sept. 30th. In the morning it’s the Tiger Cub Challenge…an American Ninja Warrior type course designed for younger kids ages 6-13. Plus the Tiger Time Challenge is a similar course designed for those ages 14 and up. In the Afternoon the High School will be open from 1-3 pm for Tours of the newly redesigned portion of the building, and in the evening starting at 7 pm it’s Tigers After Dark at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds. Live Music,Beverages, Food and Games!

Senior Providers of Mcleod County presents a Stress Management and Resiliency Training Program by Debbie Fuehrer on Tuesday, Oct 3rd at the Hutchinson Event Center from 8:30a-Noon. The program is designed for Caregivers, Professionals, Families, Friends and the Community. The SMART program is scientifically proven to decrease symptoms of stress and anxieity and increase well being. Tickets available at Harmony River of Hutchinson and Ecument of Litchfield.

GSL ECFE has it’s fall festival on Thursday, Oct 5th from 10:30-11:30 am or 6-7 pm at the Early Childhood Learning Center in Glencoe. Ages 0-Kingergarten Entry Students and Parents are welcome to learn about Nature items, and explore activities related to fall. −St A’s School Fundraiser1:15 pm – 3:00 pm
On Friday, October 6, St. Anastasia School students along with staff, parents and friends will participate in the Marathon for Nonpublic Education, a 3.5 mile walk along the crow river to raise funds and awareness for their school. . The students will leave from the school gym at approximately 1:20 p.m. and return from the walk around 3:00 p.m. As St. Anastasia Catholic School’s largest fundraiser, the Marathon helps to support the continuous growth of its students. The Litchfield Opera House presents “A view from the Top Quilt”, a Fiber Art exhibit by Sharon Rotz on Saturday, Oct 7th from 10a-3p and on Sunday, Oct 8th from 2-4 pm. Sharon also will present a lecture and demonstration from 1-2 pm Sunday. Admission for the lecture, demonstration, and exhibit is $10, while the exhibit only is $5. The open house will include a light meal served from 6pm-7pm, live demonstrations, fire trucks and gear on display, an opportunity to shoot a real fire hose at a simulated fire, and each child will receive a free Junior Firefighter Helmet while supplies last.
